I’m not exactly sure what a “thronal feast” is, but from the looks of it, I’d say it’s not all that appetizing.
Lord knows what future delights await us in 2021. Perhaps this news item below will shed some light.
I guess it’s not enough that our secular politics have to be rigged. Thanks to the globalists at the Vatican and Phanar, our religious life has to be as well. Lord have mercy.

The Patriarchate of Constantinople will continue to go the way of Rome…and the way of the Dodo. To echo what I’ve previously said, the average lay person and monastic in Greece and the diaspora is not going to go along with this, at least that’s my opinion, it will probably be the same situation as the Council of Florence where the bishops, not the laity, go along
Agreed. Until the laity is ready, it’s just not happening. This is how it goes.
“despite the objections of those who either underestimate the value of theology or consider ecumenism a utopia”
This has to be a very bad translation.
I will remain Orthodox. Period.
More like full apostasy. I wish Black Bart all the best in his new endeavors, as he leaves Holy Mother Church for A Wholly Other “Church”.
If only he WOULD leave the Holy Mother Church officially and join PF in a new Church entirely. Both Orthodox Christians and traditional Roman Catholics deserve better. So in fact may PF and PB form a new Rogue entity with suitably confused and confusing language which flows so easily from each, tragically.
There is only one Church. The organization headed in Rome is a parasynagogue.
I will remain Orthodox
Ditto, Jane.
A word of advice to the Phanariotes (and please forgive the crassness): but I don’t think most people like having things crammed down their throats.
And please forgive the crassness here, too, but according to various reports of what goes on behind Vatican doors, I beg to differ!
Not sure if the EP realizes that there can be only ONE “First Without Equals”.
It is about eliminating the causes and consequences of “the current huge crisis of refugees and migration”, as well as “tragic events of violence in the name of God and religion”. These problems clarify the value and importance of interreligious dialogue, “peace and cooperation between religions”, the head of the Phanar stressed.
How does unification help these problems?
It doesn’t. It’s just dictation from Soros and his ilk.
It may be just a translation problem but, when he talks of meetings
“with brother Pope Francis”, I am compelled to ask if he means:
(i) ‘Pope Francis, my brother’; or (ii) ‘Francis, my brother Pope’;
or is the ambiguity a claim stored up for later?
The Pope’s expectations seem modest and more reasonable. He speaks only of Rome’s reunion with Constantinople.
The Vatican is not dumb. They know that Patriarch Bartholomew doesn’t speak for the Orthodox Church.
They must be out of time or the population is sufficiently dumbed down according to their intelligence metrics. Why else would they be over playing their hand in such a clown like fashion?
On a separate note – I’m going to purchase my first AR-15 this week. I pray that my grandchildren are gifted it one day in pristine condition and unused. I’m not interested in being on the wrong side of history as it relates to this satanic globalist takeover attempt. Neither will I passively stand by as they force vaccinate or re-educate my wife or children. My lines in the sand are drawn.

Why did Archbishop put his hand over his Cross in photo?
Perhaps he didn’t wish to offend the Muslims, or the atheists or…
If a false union winds up happening, it will become a crisis of authority. Much like the Ukraine, but on a level of usurpation of Christ’s authority so blatant and audacious that authority in the common sense of the word [as in whose office has the authority to do this or that) will be completely shattered and restored to what apostolic authority in Christ’s Church has always been.
We are in for very chaotic times ahead when patriarchs, metropolitans, bishops, priests, deacons, and laypersons won’t share the same spirit or understanding of authority and will be unable to agree, hoping it will somehow pass and that unity can be restored – the Faithful knowing deep in their souls that the time to act has arrived yet afraid to do anything definitive for fear of being ‘disobedient’ or the cause of schism. The already apostate and the faint of heart will go along to get along in order to maintain their ‘canonical legitimacy’ and/or place on the payroll while the Faithful are slandered as ‘fundamentalists,’ made to feel small, disobedient, and accused of dividing the Church.
The Ukrainian scandal is only the beginning of woes to come as long as so few have the courage to do what every faithful Orthodox Christian knows must be done. But my gut tells me this will continue to play out in all its chaotic ugliness.
“And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”
The Phanariotes fell into apostasy long ago. This is but the natural outcome. I am hopeful he joins the Marxist pope soon so that we can be done with this schism-creator.
The Schism has just begun and it will likely hit the US hardest in our tribal environment. Unless the GOA has made itself so wildly unpopular to everyone that the bishops kick the dust off their feet and go down the road. Matthew 10:14-15
As a RC who loves this blog, I have one question. Why would any Orthodox want
to jump ON a sinking ship? I believe we are all in for a great “cleansing”!
There’s in answer to your question, Joseph. The powers-that-be, which unfortunately include our own State Department, want to bring the Churches together so they can leverage Christianity. Ukraine is an example. They tried to use our churches to cordon off Russia. – As I’m sure you can see, Bartholomew and Francis are also in lock step with the globalists. Together, they’ve begun the narrative that it’s “out with the old and in with the new”.
Catholicism and Orthodoxy bought and paid for and seeing to fruition by Soros and Company. Dropee…
Serious question that I haven’t really seen addressed yet: At what point does an entire patriarchate (and it’s diaspora) fall into heresy, and when should someone stop going to a parish that is under that jurisdiction/patriarchate?
– The Ephraim monasteries (for the moment) are still part of GOARCH. Should we still be going to them?
– My spiritual father, and many wonderful spiritual fathers and parishes are still part of GOARCH
– What about areas where the only parish that is available is under the PoC? That is many places in the U.S and abroad. Do we go, or, do we not and deprive ourselves of the sacraments?
Do we go as long as they still preach Orthodoxy on the parish level, do we stop going all together?
This is a serious matter that needs to be discussed
Crap.
Trying to get some distance but I saw Petros’ question. So to pop in with my two cents since it is a critical question, hopefully briefly:
Constantinople is already excommunicated by the Church of Russia re: the Ukraine travesty. According to canon law, they stepped into the shoes of schismatics when they intercommuned with them. They had no authority to go into the territory of another local church and lift its excommunication. Therefore, Constantinople, from the standpoint of the MP, is already in schism.
Heresy must be condemned by a council to result in the loss of the grace of the mysteries. However, it is a respected opinion within traditionalist circles that, though communing with uncondemned heretics may actually constitute a communion with grace, that if a person knowingly does so (i.e., knowing that the celebrants are in heresy) then he consumes the Body and Blood to his own condemnation and, as St. Paul remarked, people have grown ill and died from this:
“Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” – 1 Corinthians 11:27-30
And that is why I have not communed in a Greek Orthodox Church since the Robber Council of Crete. In the document on ecumenical relations, they clearly challenged the Creed’s statement on the “oneness” of the Church.
Hello Petros,
Here is a video that may be an answer to your question:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IUHBTHtXPpQ
Was this vision approved by a bishop?
I will attempt to answer your questions, Petros.
1. The monasteries of Elder Ephraim are still thoroughly Orthodox. They are the wall that is holding back the flood waters. However, in my opinion, I feel they need to transition out of the GOA sooner than later. Elpi cannot be trusted, and I fear the schemes that he has prepared.
2. I believe that people should leave the GOA parish (unless you know that your priest is still a torch bearer). For me, I would travel to a faithful parish. If it was a long distance, I would attempt to be there once per month (or more if possible). Those solid priests who are under C’pole will need to find a safe haven (like the monasteries).
People have criticized us for attending a small monastery that started out in a modest home but I would meet in a BATHROOM if that is where Christ is being taught.
Fr George Calciu and many others met in filthy prison cells between rounds of torture so you are in the best company. One of my favorite places is a small and humble hermitage with chapel on-site. Christ is there. So happy for you and for the monks.
In addition to the excommunication of Bartholomew and his minions, a Church wide time of repentance and fasting might be in order–for this and to challenge the COVID persecution. Blaming no one else. Taking strict responsibility for the chaos that reigns because it is in my own heart too.
So I say to you all, please forgive me for all the sins I have committed in thought word and deed against each of you and all of my brothers.
By His grace we all will be healed and brought into green pastures.
May the joy of the Lord be with you and may He make His face shine upon you in mercy and blessing
Thank you Michael. You are preparing us for Forgiveness Sunday and my favorite words of the year “Please forgive me, my brother/sister for my offenses toward you. God forgives and I forgive…”
God forgives. If I repent God’s forgiveness is almost instantaneous and automatic.

125 years is no brevity but not much in the life of the Church. What a change in attitude.
“Cyprus bans faithful from church during Christmas season,
Metropolitan of Morphou rejects new measures”
https://orthochristian.com/135993.html
‘ The Holy Synod of the Cypriot Church will convene next Tuesday to examine the new measures, Archbishop Chrysostomos said on Cypriot television today. In the meantime, he expects the hierarchs to obey the governmental measures. He also said he spoke with His Eminence Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou, who reacted strongly to the government measures, but was unable to persuade him.
Met. Neophytos issued a statement, saying: “In the metropolitan area of Morphou, we inform, as the local Metropolitan, that our holy churches will continue their operation and will not be closed in any way.” The services and Sacraments will be celebrated as usual, the Metropolitan declared. ‘

It seems Dumenko wants a Patriarchate:

Well, if Bart says no, in a few short years he will be able to ask Rome.

He makes interesting points about Constantinople’s ‘rights’
concerning autocephaly in the light of the history of the Church.
Wasn’t it Twain who said that there were “Lies, damn lies, and statistics”?
https://townhall.com/columnists/scottmorefield/2020/12/28/this-data-for-masked-vs-unmasked-counties-would-be-on-every-front-page-if-it-sho-n2582176
I believe Mark Twain attributed it to Benjamin Disraeli,
novelist and UK Prime Minister under Queen Victoria.
That is a good example of lying with statistics!
Not lying with statistics looks more like:
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6947e2.htm
These studies were from the summer in counties in a single state (Kansas, of all place), way before we had consistent testing, not that the PRC tells us much. – No one is “lying” here.
Everyone in CA has been required to wear masks since June and look where they are. https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/CDPH%20Document%20Library/COVID-19/Guidance-for-Face-Coverings_06-18-2020.pdf
Seriously, Nate? California has the highest spike in cases yet the most restrictive lock-down orders imaginable.
Not really. Mask mandates aside, California has been a mishmash of halfhazard, poorly thought out measures and policies. And subject to the same inconsistent enforcement plaguing the rest of the country. Recent increased restrictions are a horse-left-the-barn reaction to things getting bad. And California has millions of yahoos that do things like this:

Now, I would think it worthwhile to dig into analysis of why cases, hospitalizations and deaths exploded. But to do that you might first have to reckon with the fact that a mere two months ago this site was proclaiming the pandemic was basically over and there wasn’t going to be another wave. Which doesn’t exactly square with 0% ICU occupancy in SoCal and elsewhere in the country!
You are mistaken about CA where my daughter lives. One of her roommates is a COVID nurse, BTW. – They have curfews, fines, and even their water turned off over the Thanksgiving holiday if they had too many guests over per Newsom’s standards.
Show me where anyone on this blog said the “pandemic was basically over.” That is pure fiction.
0% percent occupancy means there are no patients. I’m guessing that is not what you meant.
Southern California has beds, but many will not take patients on Medicaid or who don’t have insurance. https://www.wsj.com/articles/some-california-hospitals-refused-covid-19-transfers-for-financial-reasons-state-emails-show-11603108814
Not pure fiction, I have receipts! Not only did multiple people say it, you agreed with it back in September! See:

As far as it being expressed on other occasions:

I said occupancy when I should have said availability. Mea culpa. And as far as some of the CA rules, they obviously do nothing if not followed or enforced.
I said, “Show me where anyone on this blog said the ‘pandemic was basically over.’ That is pure fiction.
What you’ve provided are comments with links from CNN, CDC, a friend of a reader who is in family practice, and Dr. Michael Yeadon. None of these agencies/people are on our blog.
Archbishop Chrysostomos once again explained why he took
the side of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople on the “Ukrainian issue”.
https://spzh.news/en/news/76744-predstojately-kipra-otricajet-chto-on-i-glava-fanara-brali-denygi-u-ssha
‘The Archbishop [Chrysostomos] explained that “Ukraine has always
remained under the Ecumenical Patriarchate” like all Orthodoxy.’
So, Orthodoxy was always under the Ecumenical Patriarch;
ie: since before there ever was an Ecumenical Patriarchate…???
