What I want to know is this. If not Trump, who?
Pence is morose and unremarkable (and if what I’ve heard is true, NOT someone anybody would want as a president.) And as far as I’m concerned, DeSantis is disloyal.
When Ramaswamy was asked if he would take the #2 spot, you know what he said? “I will be helpful to this country in whatever way I can, but I would not be No. 2 or member of an administration.”
What does he mean he would not be #2 or a member of an administration?! He doesn’t seem to understand that it’s not up to him! If he were truly committed, the right answer would be, “I will do whatever is asked of me to save this country.” Do you think if someone told him he was going to be threatened with impeachment for things he didn’t do and indicted 3 or 4 times over nonsense, he would run for the presidency just to have the honor of digging us out of this humongous hole we’ve dug for ourselves? Hell, no. He is a self-entitled brat! He has to be #1 or he’s not interested. –Well, we’re not interested either. He can keep his day job.
If, on the other hand, I were to say to Trump, “Sir, we need you to put your life on hold and suffer indignities no president should ever have to suffer to save this country.” You know what he would say to me? “I will serve this country in whatever capacity I’m needed regardless of what it costs me. I will put up with the nonsense. I will leave my comfortable surroundings and attend your rallies. I will command the appreciation of those I serve and I will do whatever it takes to save this country.”
And because it’s Trump (let’s be honest), he would also say, “And-I-don’t-like-to-lose. I will save this country ‘better than anyone has ever done in the past’ and I will go down in history as the most influential leader this country has ever seen.”
To which I would say, “Thank you, Mr. President. We’re right behind you. Our sleeves are rolled up and we’re ready to go to work. This country will not pass from our hands until it’s fully restored. Doesn’t matter what it takes. We’re all in.”

President Donald Trump Op-Ed, “There Must Be a Reckoning”
President Donald J Trump has distilled the issues, events and consequences into an op-ed published in Newsweek [Article Here]. As President Trump notes toward the end of his discussion, “there must be a reckoning.”
“The report by Special Counsel John Durham makes clear beyond a shred of doubt that the Russia Hoax was the most atrocious weaponization of our government in American history. It was a crime like no other.
Seven years ago, I ran for office taking on all the most corrupt forces and entrenched interests in our nation’s capital. My agenda was an existential threat to a Washington establishment that got rich and powerful bleeding America dry.
I vowed to stop mass illegal immigration, terminate globalist trade deals, end the sellout of our country to Communist China, stand up to the permanent bureaucracy and the corporate media, and break the neocon addiction to endless foreign wars.
In response, an unelected cabal in the senior ranks of our government, in concert with their chosen candidate, Hillary Clinton, and their allies in the media, launched the de-facto coup attempt known as the Russia Hoax.
Their goal was to prevent my election, and failing that, to throw me out of office or sabotage my presidency, undercut my agenda in Congress, block my domestic reforms, and interfere with my foreign policy.
For nearly three years, they carried out a massive disinformation campaign and lawless persecution based on the monstrous lie that I was a traitor to my country.
These Deep State plotters spied on my campaign. They forged false evidence to get illegal surveillance warrants and smear innocent people through leaks to the media. They offered $1 million for a fictitious dossier written by a foreign spy to try to frame me with treason. They shattered countless lives.
The Durham Report proves that the key figures involved knew from the start that the Russia Collusion conspiracy theory was a lie. The FBI launched their witch hunt without a scrap of legitimate evidence—and when they came upon exonerating information time after time, they covered it up and kept the hoax going forward.
The sickness was driven from the very top. FBI Director James Comey constantly pressured agents for more surveillance and warrants, demanding to know over and over “Where is the FISA, where is the FISA?”
Barack Obama and Joe Biden were in on it, too. They were briefed in August 2016 on reports that Clinton planned to “vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian Security Services.”
They knew the truth, yet they put our country through hell.
As savage and cruel as the Russia Hoax was for me, my family, my staff, and so many innocent bystanders, the real victims were the American People.
The destruction this hoax caused to America is almost incalculable. It subverted our democracy, it threatened our security, and it endangered our freedom.
At a critical moment when we should have been reducing tensions with Russia, the Russia Hoax stoked mass hysteria that helped drive Russia straight into the arms of China.
Instead of having a better relationship with Russia as I worked to build, we now have a proxy war with Russia, fueled in part by the lingering fumes of Russiagate delirium. Ukraine has been utterly devastated. Untold numbers of people have been killed. And we could very well end up in World War III.
As the Twitter Files have proven, the Radical Left establishment also used the Russia Hoax to attack freedom of speech. They built a sprawling domestic censorship regime under the guise of combatting so-called “Russian disinformation”—which they quickly defined to include any content they did not like.
The intelligence community, the media, and the Silicon Valley tech companies then deployed this very pretext, “Russian disinformation,” to censor the Biden corruption scandal in 2020—censorship orchestrated, as we now know, by the Biden campaign.
In one poll last year, 79 percent of Americans following the story about Hunter Biden’s sordid laptop said truthful coverage of that wrongly censored story would have changed the outcome of the election. Our country is now paying a very steep price.
Perhaps most dangerous of all, the Russia Hoax normalized the weaponization of law enforcement against the Left’s political enemies. The Radical Democrats and their media partners now cheer as Biden’s DOJ demands the FBI investigate parents at school board meetings, deploys heavily armed teams to arrest pro-life activists, and pursues an all-out persecution of Joe Biden’s leading opponent for the presidency.
These corrupted agencies have interfered in every election since 2016—and they are interfering in the 2024 election before our very eyes.
There must be a reckoning. Accountability now lies in the hands of the voters. The Durham Report has made the stakes abundantly clear, and now the choice is ours: either the Deep State destroys America, or we destroy the Deep State.”
Hi George and Gail! In my opinion he’s being deliberately vague. I don’t think that he’s actually going to do anything. Just playing politics. We saw who he was during his last run. If he somehow gets into power, I would bet we’ll see the same things again and more complaints about how powerless he is. Maybe that’s for the best as he refuses to acknowledge where he did mess up during his four years, including on the jab. I don’t think anything good is coming down the pipe either way. This is all a good show but I think we should focus more on building up our community than letting such things distract us. Trump is no hero. He’s at best a stick in the wheels of Washington. Thanks to him for the Supreme Court tho. Better than nothing.
RE: “I don’t think that he’s actually going to do anything.”
Oh, he’s doing something. You’ll be shocked when you see how this ends!
I’m all in, I just don’t have any clout, money, or connections and when I vote – they cheat.
I pray that, “God arise and let His enemies be scattered”.
If you pray you have clout with the only One who matters. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!
I will refrain from giving my opinion on any candidate I might consider with regards to what is going on pre-election.
Let me let this cat out if the bag. Did anyone know that DeSantis went to Israel with a team when he took the oath to become governor?
RFK Jr stated how much he respects Israel during two interviews – one with Rabbi Shmuley and one with Dov Hikind. In order to get elected you must say “certain things.”
Nikki Haley happily removed Confederate statues in her state. She received awards in Israel for other stuff. I have this info in my notes. Too tired to find them today as I got heat exhaustion.
Pence had an interview with Fox radio a few weeks ago. He was a surly nasty man! I trust him not! He was unsupportive of his boss to the ninth degree.
Trump called himself the “Father” of the Covid vaccine. Oh yeah. Don’t get me started on the Covid debacle. Trump said he is “taking the oil” from the Golan Heights and gave it to Israel. Really? Stealing is not in my book. Nor is murdering people.
I am done at this moment with what this and other administrations did to our nation and other nations. We shall see how the election proceeds. God only knows.
Biden needs to walk the plank. Let him save himself in the ocean, river, or wherever. They all are traitorous swine.
Jane a lot here. Personally, I’m glad you brought up that nonsense about Nikki Haley: she is the godmother of the destruction that was rained on America when she bought into the nonsense about removing the Stars and Bars. (And yes, I do believe that that was a political stunt staged by the Establishment, to see how far they could get away with destroying our history.)
I lost all respect for her that day. Under no circumstances would I consider voting for her.
It’s awful! Our government is in ruins. Paul Craig Roberts stated today. “I do not see any organized group defending the founding document of the United States from repudiation by the Democrat Party.
My conclusion is that the United States is on a road to economic decline as it is being unmoored from its founding document and is undergoing a revolution.”
NY Post revealed today:
☠️ 😱Judge Tanya Chutkan
The federal judge who will oversee former President Donald Trump’s latest criminal case is known for harsh sentencing Jan. 6 rioters and formerly worked at a law firm associated with first son Hunter Biden.
God help us.
Col MacGregor brought up an interesting point: Britain lost India, “the Jewel in the Crown” in 1948, when the UK’s debt-to-GDP ratio soared to 240%.
I’m not sure where ours’ is at present. But the incessant printing of money by the FED will make our currency worthless, regardless of whether BRICS+ rolls out their new gold-backed currency or not.
Yes, my dear, but remember when Trump said, “We’ve saved a little money for a rainy day?”
In June the government succeeded in lifting the debt ceiling to $31.4 trillion (£24.6 trillion). Fitch, one of three major independent agencies that assess creditworthiness, cut our rating from the top level of AAA to a notch lower at AA+.
According to Fitch, there has been a steady deterioration in standards of governance over the last 20 years, including on fiscal and debt matters, notwithstanding the June bipartisan agreement to suspend the debt limit until January 2025.”
Ms Yellen said she “strongly” disagreed with Fitch’s decision.
RE: “Pence had an interview with Fox radio a few weeks ago. He was a surly nasty man!”
He really was. I wouldn’t want to spend 5 minutes with this man. He didn’t listen to Tucker or even look at him! He had his own agenda. He sounded like some one’s dad laying down the law only he was all over the map. All these sweeping statements about what we need to do. Nothing about what he needs to do. He acts as if the country belongs to him.
And he promised the American people he would do right by us. He failed. We’re not going to get over it.
Yeah, not to generalize, but the era of the older, white, respectable-looking Protestant guy (like Pence, or a Bushie) running the country is over. Pence is about 20 years too late. The country is far different than it was a decade or two.
A certain section of those over age 60 (not all, but some) probably still believe that that old America is recoverable with leaders like Pence. It’s not. The folks who believe this are only a fraction of the American population anymore and don’t wield anywhere close to the cultural clout that they used to. If someone only inhabits that white mainstream bubble though, they may not yet have gotten the message.
A good friend wisely told me that with classic Western liberalism now totally dead, the American political fight is between a quasi-Christian Nationalist Populism vs Woke Racial Socialism.
Right now, the only leader of the former is the Donald — not saying he’s the best leader, but he’s the best there is right now (and the only leader there is right now). I’m not a huge Trump fan, but I’d much rather live under Christian Nationalist Populism than Woke Racial Socialism. The latter is what we sort of have now (in a blunted form) with the Obama/Biden regime, and even the blunted form is awful.
You’ve stated your position beautifully. I hope other Americans are going to start to see it this way.
Pence is a wicked man. Really wicked.
Another article on Pence.
The Face of Treason
https://ncrenegade.com/the-face-of-treason-2/
Anyone who refers to his wife as “Mother” is just a little bit weird in my book.
The fly knew.
Here’s how things are going to work in the interim:
1. Biden will be 25th.
2. Kamasutra Harris will ascend to the Presidency.
3. Gavin Newsom will be chosen to be VEEP.
4. Harris’ handlers will tell her to take the gold watch and go down in history as the first woman and POC POTUS. That’s good enough.
5. VP Newsom will be nominated for the Presidency on the Dem ticket. “Big Mike” Obama will be nominated to be VEEP, thereby fulfilling the necessary diversity quotas.
OK, so this is the plan. I’m going to go to sleep. Do NOT wake me up until the clown show is over.
What happened to my earlier comments and the thread?
Hard to tell. I’m still trying to figure out what happened to Google Analytics.
I will say we don’t post comments that are demeaning to other people. Some people like to spar with their pens (or keyboards) but we don’t do that sort of thing here. You can disagree all you want but you can’t attack the person. No one cares what so-and-so thinks about so-and-so anyway so it’s really a waste of everyone’s time.
I don’t remember your comment. It’s unusual for a whole thread to be gone unless someone in that thread got deleted.
It was my messages about the Antichrist possibly coming from “the right”. Even George responded.
I remember the thread, and my comment is gone also.
@Gail, add one more to the circus clown show…lest we forget a big fat No to RINO Carlisle Group Glenn Youngkin of Virginia.
https://cardinalnews.org/2023/08/02/youngkin-for-president-four-factors-to-keep-in-mind/
Now that the also-rans in the GOP primary are being exposed as non-entities, word on the street is that Youngkin is being groomed to step in and “save” the GOP from Trump.
The self-entitled Administrative State; the self-perpetuating Entrenched Bureaucracy; the self-appointed Ruling Class must be disempowered before, WE, are forced into serfdom, or worse……
And if we don’t find a way to stop this soon, it will become a runaway train.
Wake up and ditch the coffee…
The trans lobby pushed me to have a double masectomy
and I bitterly regret it. That’s why Costa’s advert is so dangerous
SINEAD WATSON
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12366421/The-trans-lobby-pushed-double-masectomy-bitterly-regret-Thats-Costas-advert-dangerous-writes-SINEAD-WATSON-detransitioned-woman-double-mastectomy.html
‘ When is the madness going to stop? I’m talking about the latest attempt to pretend it’s normal for young women like me to have our healthy breasts surgically removed.
It’s not. It never has been and it never should be — however hard transgender lobbyists fight.
When I saw pictures this week of the new image emblazoned across Costa Coffee’s vans, I felt deeply concerned. I also felt immensely sad.
The cute cartoon of an androgynous-looking character in colourful yellow shorts with a big smile and two mastectomy scars promotes transgender surgery more keenly than it does the brand itself.
https://labourheartlands.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/costa-coffee1-696×392.jpg
The message is clear: you too can live your best life like this trans man if you get your breasts cut off. And it could not be more disingenuous.
There is absolutely nothing glamorous about having your breasts removed. I should know. I only have to look in the mirror to see what a transitioned chest looks like.
And, believe me, it’s absolutely nothing like the image apparently taken from a mural designed by the UK’s biggest coffee chain for Brighton and Hove Pride last year.
In fact, I choose not to look in the mirror because my chest is such an ugly battleground of scars.
Rather than resembling a man’s, it looks like a woman’s chest that has been sliced open with a scalpel.
And that’s precisely what it is — maimed and disfigured. …
No one ever told me the truth: ‘You’re not a man. It’s impossible to de-sex yourself.’ …
But it’s time to be honest about what a body really looks like after transition.
And we need to address the reasons why so many young women are electing to have their breasts removed.
We need to acknowledge that puberty is difficult. We need to help girls negotiate the change.
We need to tell them it’s very common to go through phases of hating your body.
And we need to educate men to stop sexualising young girls. Quite simply, it is time for us to wake up, smell the coffee and realise the terrible damage that can be done to young women. ‘
Ohh… and:
” Defending the decision to use the image, a Costa Coffee spokesman said: ‘At Costa Coffee we celebrate the diversity of our customers, team members and partners… The mural, in its entirety, showcases and celebrates inclusivity’ ”
I used to prefer Costa Coffee to Starbucks.
Then Coca-Cola bought it and I began to wonder.
Now I know there’s two I don’t like…
That’s a sad story. Conversely, it’s good to hear about a mother who refused gender surgery for her infant child, against the doctor’s advice:

Thank God for small miracles.
Indeed.
This from Larry Johnson of Sonar21 is most excellent. I suggest you save it to pdf for reference (and I never say that about articles). He explains the death of meritocracy in the West and its effect on competence and geopolitics. Long article, but very insightful.
Great article.
My last review at a large Fortune 500 company said “exceeds expectations.” I was asked to step up and take on a leadership position which I accepted at a $10,000 cut in pay because I thought it would lead to something more within the company. I was given every difficult task within the department. They even had me create complex project plans for the remaining staff before they summarily fired me, at will! (I did settle with them later.)
In 2010, after being out of the workforce for 15 years to raise my family I went back to work as a systems analyst for a large county. Within 3 months, I was promoted to lead their highest level project (I had to be voted into the role) and when I figured out the problem and put a plan in place to solve it, the COO thanked me for my service and that was it. I was there a total of 6 months. Seems I was the only one who didn’t know they never wanted to solve the problem because some people would be out of a job. People like a highly paid (I’m guessing) contractor who had been with the County for years and who probably made 4 times my salary. She would hold meetings where we would spend hours going over the wording of a few paragraphs in a procedure manual no one will ever read.
This sort of behavior was such a shock to me. In my day, if you did well you were rewarded. Not so, anymore. They just want you to show up for work (on time; just because) and collect your paycheck. I am not making this up. I understand that they’re even thinking of doing away with the MCATs. No wonder doctors didn’t question the vaccine studies. They’re all (most anyway) in provider groups where they’re told how to practice medicine. Critical thinking is discouraged. It’s all paint by numbers now.
Yes, Galinushka, I have noticed and experienced the same thing which is one reason why this article resonated with me.
Well, at least here, critical thinking skills are strongly encouraged and very much appreciated.

Story at-a-glance
One of the most influential instruments used to suppress the First Amendment right to free speech in the U.S. was the Center for Countering Digital Hate’s (CCDH) “Disinformation Dozen” report, published March 24, 2021
The CCDH was a tiny, never-before-heard-of U.K.-based group with undisclosed funding, whose board members had unambiguous ties to the military-intelligence-industrial complex
AntiVaxWatch.org, a simple news aggregator with no listed employees or funding, sponsored the report. The creator of AntiVaxWatch is Brandon Hill, cofounder of Be the Change, which connects it to Eric Kessler of Arabella Advisors, a large, well-known dark money network that supports progressive causes with untraceable funds
In a June 1, 2023, report, the CCDH accused Twitter of failing to censor 99% of hate posted by Twitter Blue-subscribed accounts. According to Elon Musk, the CCDH’s claims are “false, misleading, or both, and they are not supported by anything that could credibly be called research”
July 31, 2023, Twitter, now renamed X Corp, filed a lawsuit against the CCDH, arguing the CCDH is “actively working to prevent free expression” and spreading “troubling and baseless claims that appear calculated to harm Twitter generally, and its digital advertising business specifically.” Musk also wants to know who funds the CCDH’s fabrications
