I Think I’ll Pass

I’m not taking the highly anticipated COVID vaccine.  I just won’t.

In the first place, there is probably a very good chance I already have had the virus or will have it during the 18 months it will take to create a new vaccine.  I’m a pharmacist on the front line with sick patients.

Secondly, I think 18 months is an extremely aggressive timeline to create something that has eluded science (at least partially) for decades.  Coronavirus is the cause of about 20% of colds and they’ve been working on a vaccine for the common cold since the 1950s.

Getting the virus itself may make a lot more sense than lying around the house for another year and a half in the hope that this new vaccine will even work. Vaccines do not necessarily provide the protection they portend. Sometimes, they even GIVE you the very thing they were created to prevent. The oral polio vaccine (OPV) is a good example. There are currently more cases of “vaccine-derived polio” than there are “wild” cases in the world.

Even if a vaccine doesn’t make you sick, they are not necessarily effective. Take the flu, for example. The overall effectiveness of seasonal influenza vaccines is currently at 45% (2019-2020). That’s better than the 10% in years past but not even close to a guarantee that you won’t get sick. https://www.contagionlive.com/news/how-effective-is-the-201920-flu-shot

However, the biggest concern, as I see it, is the “hard stop,” i.e. the deadline you announce ahead of time that you have no basis of saying you can make until you get further in the weeds to see what you’re dealing with.  You don’t want to rush a process like this.  When you do, you run the risk of creating a host of other problems you didn’t see coming.   This is especially true if the company who is announcing dates has successfully gotten the FDA to waive the clinical trials normally required to launch a new drug.

Just out of curiosity, do you ever wonder about the timing of events?  Bill Gates leaves Microsoft at the starting point of a pandemic, announcing he wants to devote his time to speeding up R&D and slowing down the spread of the Coronavirus.   He believes the best way to prevent an infectious disease is with a vaccine. “And in 2017, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) was created with nearly $650 million from Germany, Japan, Norway, Wellcome . . .  Since then, others have come on board, including the UK, Canada, Ethiopia, Australia, Belgium, and the European Commission, to dramatically reduce the time it takes to develop vaccines for emerging epidemics, and ensure they are accessible, available, and affordable. The speed with which companies have begun working on a vaccine for COVID-19 is a result, in part, of CEPI.” https://www.gatesfoundation.org/TheOptimist/Articles/coronavirus-mark-suzman-therapeutics

2017.  Let that sink in for a moment.  They started preparing for what is happening now, during the same timeframe that some strange little lab in some hostile country (hostile to our country, but very friendly with tech firms) was playing around with a virus that a scientist accidentally took home to her boyfriend.  We are told this breach of protocol caused a major, widespread pandemic and economic ruin around the world.  Of course, this was the second thing we were told: the first story they told us about the wet market, bats, jumping species, etc. was all a ruse.

And now they are creating something new.  Creating something new is not the same as using something that’s been around for awhile for a new purpose.  The biggest difference between the two is money and that distinction cannot be overstated

  1. The tried and true drugs, hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin drug, are going through COVID testing now to support the anecdotal stories of physicians around the world who claim their COVID patients got better on these drugs.  Repurposing of drugs is done all the time.  They may not work, but at least we know they won’t kill you, especially when you talking about drugs that have been around for several decades.

Creating a new drug for a specific purpose is something else entirely, however.  If it’s a drug that impacts your immune system, you can imagine how important it is to get it right.  Here is a list of past problems that occurred with new vaccines when they didn’t “get it right”:

  • Simian Virus 40 (SV40) 1955-1963
  • Swine Flu Vaccine & Guillain-Barré Syndrome 1976
  • Hepatitis B Vaccine & Multiple Sclerosis 1998
  • Rotavirus Vaccine & Intussusception 1998-1999
  • Guillain-Barré Syndrome & Meningococcal Vaccine 2005-2008
  • Hib Vaccine Recall 2007
  • H1N1 Influenza Vaccine & Narcolepsy 2009-2010
  • Porcine Circovirus in Rotavirus Vaccines 2010
  • HPV Vaccine Recall 2013

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/concerns-history.html

In comparing COVID to influenza, the WHO admits that though the range of symptoms for the two viruses is similar, the fraction with severe disease appears to be different.  For COVID-19, data to date (this was March 2020 so the percentages are probably lower than postulated) suggest that 80% of infections are mild or asymptomatic, 15% are severe infection, requiring oxygen and 5% are critical infections, requiring ventilation. These fractions of severe and critical infection would be higher than what is observed for influenza.  https://tinyurl.com/yby2h

So why get a new vaccine that will barely have time to clear the threshold for minimal testing necessary to get it to market?  The list of precautions and warnings will probably be taller than you are when you unfold it.

Seriously. Unless you are at an extremely high risk of dying from this virus, why would you want this vaccine?  — Mrs. M (G Sheppard)

  1. The greater question is: What will happen to us when we refuse?

  2. We won’t either. Why suddenly does a vaccine need an RFID chip, a digital tattoo or need to change my genetics. Sound like crackpot fantasy? If it does you’ve been asleep. In your defense, some of the articles and interviews can be hard to find at times because Facebook and YouTube are pulling them down as fast as they can. We have a choice. We stop this runaway train right now by saying no to house arrest, contact tracing and mandatory vaccinations or we enter a brave new world from which only your savior the antiChrist will “help you”. No thanks. I’m out. I’ll be with my family and hopefully 1/2 of society in the woods eating Manna. When Putin was asked one time about absorbing a nuclear strike and not retaliating he replied “what good is a world without Russia?”. I ask you all, what good is a world without Christians or Christ? It’s time to stand up and resist this worldwide heist of biblical proportions.

Why is it so many deranged, liberal, self-hating Whites like Carol Baker have that demon possessed stare?
And then it’s found out they’re on meds?  Yes, as psychiatrists have long observed:
      Liberalism IS a mental disorder

    • We certainly can’t predict the future but we would be naive to think forced vaccination isn’t their desired endgame. Given the hierarchs’ insistence on following CDC guidelines for reopening, do we honestly believe they won’t throw their weight behind a mandatory vaccine program?

      • Michigan Orthodox says

Following the CDC guidelines is a comfortable way to skate through the matter. It is a universal authority figure, and if people are upset about churches being closed, you can just pass the buck.

It’s a risk to open the churches because if one person gets sick, suddenly the bishop gets doubly blamed: first for not following the CDC, and second for not keeping people safe himself. And if a priest opens up without the bishop’s permission, you can add a third tier of disobeying the bishop.

What’s all of this have in common? As Mikhail said, it is rule by FEAR. Priests fear the bishop, the bishop fears the CDC and the lawyers.

But what did Christ say so often in the Gospel? Do not be afraid.

Christ is a shepherd who leads through love. There were lots of lovey-dovey statements put out by hierarchs at the beginning of this, but today, when we do hear anything at all from them, it’s all barking orders.

        • The lack of loving shepherding has been my biggest takeaway. No reassurance, no call to faith, nothing but constant fearmongering. Just submit and obey, and cower in fear like slaves. And if you dare to disagree we’ll ruin your ministry.

        • George Michalopulos says

I don’t disagree with you at all, MO.  But given the bishops’ cowardice, what should we expect?  After all, the majority of Orthodox in America have displayed the same type of cowardice.  The bishops, being time-servers (for the most part), don’t want to be thrown under the bus by the largely liberal laity.

I know of what I speak.  When me and a few others were planning the first March for Life here in Tulsa, the majority of Orthodox laity in the more established parishes were resolutely ignored.  We were even called “Orthodox Taliban”.

The wave of the future for these people leads to Fordham as far as they’re concerned.  And let’s not forget, Bartholomew plays to his audience.  It’s a self-reinforcing circle.

I cannot speak for other priests, but I for one do not fear my bishop either those I temporary serve under during sabbatical or any others. I serve as I am permitted not out of fear but out of obedience because as St Paul’s says, when I stand before before the judgment seat on that last day, I must give account not only for myself but for how I have ministered to and served as Shepherd and pastor. I take this with utmost sincerity and awareness of the responsibility of the charge given to me.

  3. George,

In light of current events it is not difficult to envision a future vaccination program as the structure for imposing the mark of the beast on a vast population. Physical currency, the vector of deadly pathogens, would be banned as too dangerous. In a cashless society, enforcement of compliance with the mandates of the state would be easy if the state took control of payment networks. It’s all plausible now.
If someone had declared six months ago that the prince of this world would effectively cancel the celebration of the Resurrection across the globe it would have been unbelievable. But it has happened. Can we trace this massive flux of evil in terms of its worldly pathways? Did the evil flow directly from Chinese Communist Party? That much seems clear. Was it planned in concert with the Gates cult and New World Order folk? Perhaps they simply applied the wicked equation, crisis = opportunity. I’m left wondering what comes next. In the meantime, no vaccinations for me either.

  7. The bishops received their new narrative for the week. I have already seen and/or heard it a number of times. Now they are telling us that Christ is with us at all times. He performs miracles outside the Temple just like he did in the Sacred Scriptures. He is in our hearts. I suppose this is to let us know that we don’t really need to be in Church to experience Him? It reminds me of the protestant insults against our Churches when they argue that brick and mortar buildings are inconsequential.  There’s only one thing that our lock-out justifying bishops and clergy are forgetting about.

Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.
    John 6: 54-55

For those who seek to digest highly detailed “open source intelligence” on the nature of the ideology of Mr. William H. Gates III, I could not more highly recommend the ongoing documentary series “Who is Bill Gates?” They describe his convergence of ideas into a complex program of totalitarian social control, as concerns the ultimate purpose of ID2020/vaccine related projects. So many of the foundations for “public health/social engineering” which he has taken the lead in had cornerstones laid many decades earlier by the likes of the Rockefeller family.

The series does mention the “vaccine that is delivered using a dissolvable patch called a microneedle array” which leaves a bar code-like readable mark (of the beast).

These are writings/podcasts produced by Mr. James Corbett, which are composed of factual data, without conjecture, hubris or theory. Drawing on the best traditions of critical analysis which one might expect from the likes of George Orwell, Ron Paul or G.K. Chesterton:
    https://www.corbettreport.com/

    • Steven J. M. says

And as a prelude to Corbett’s 2020 series, here’s a list of inveterate and well connected globalists and what they had to say on related matters. Note the consistent theme over the many years. Is this consistency merely a coincidence or is it contiguous? If the latter, is what’s happening now – or in the near future – really unconnected? The only difference – if any – being around the meaning of population control?

      – HG Wells, in The Open Conspiracy (1928), said “practical recognition of the necessity for world biological controls, for example, of population and disease.

      – Bertrand Russell, in The Impact of Science and Society (1951), had this to say: “Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. Even if all are miserable, all will believe themselves happy, because the government will tell them that they are so.”

      – Arthur Koestler, in the Mutating Man chapter, at the end of the book The Ghost in The Machine (1967), discusses the proceedings of a 1960s CIA conference on mind control, where explicit statements are made regarding the possibility of altering man’s RNA and DNA for the purpose of causing mutations, sterility, cancer etc. In short, Koestler believed wholly in flipping the switch on humans through the use of bioweapons.

      – Zbigniew Brzezinski, in Between Two Ages…(1970), stated “already widespread concern about the possibility of biological and chemical tampering with what has until now been considered the immutable essence of man. Human conduct, some argue, can be predetermined and subjected to deliberate control. Man is increasingly acquiring the capacity to determine the sex of his children, to affect through drugs the extent of their intelligence, and to modify and control their personalities. Speaking of a future at most only decades away, an experimenter in intelligence control asserted, “I foresee the time when we shall have the means and therefore, inevitably, the temptation to manipulate the behavior and intellectual functioning of all the people through environmental and biochemical manipulation of the brain.”

      – Jonas Salk, author of Survival of the Wisest (1973), and someone who is considered by others to be the godfather of inoculation, told us in no uncertain terms that for humans to continue to thrive, vaccines would be used for depopulation, especially as it relates to dogmatic conservatives, or just those outside of the scientistic priest class

      – Vaccines and immunisation are repeatedly mentioned in Agenda 21, the United Nation’s plan for the 21st century.
Agenda 21 came out of the United Nations Conference on Environment & Development (UNCED), held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 3 to 14 June 1992.
For example, following the doctrine that vaccines are intended to prevent disease, one of the UN’s major goals in section 6.12 is: To accelerate research on improved vaccines and implement to the fullest extent possible the use of vaccines in the prevention of disease.

  9. Elaine King says

It goes beyond just keeping us from Communion (although, clearly, that’s the worst of it!) The evil one also does not want us singing at all. This is heart-breaking to me, since 95% of the service is sung or chanted. And let’s be realistic. The “threat or “risk” is truly minimal. Most of us, if we get it, will recover. But there is a push on at the upper levels to muffle (if not silence) us. It all reminds me so much of the Grinch who stole Christmas, only this time it’s the Grinch who stole Pascha. We all need to rise up, singing, and go back to Church.
    https://www.oca.org/reflections/misc-authors/what-covid-19-means-for-singing-in-church

    • Michigan Orthodox says

No bishop or priest can tell the laity not to sing, and the faithful ought not to follow any such order. Same with icons.

We need to look to the Fools for Christ for guidance in our behavior. Disobey convention to shame those who are shameless.

    • The author of the anti-singing article writes, “This is a time for robust dialogue and creative thinking.”

I came to Orthodoxy from a mainline denomination that used precisely this kind of language. It didn’t take long for me to learn that “robust dialogue and creative thinking” *always* means theological and liturgical innovation *without exception*–I wish I were being hyperbolic. This language is manipulation–it promises “dialogue” but delivers only what the one calling for dialogue truly wants: the destruction of classical Christianity via death-by-a-thousand-dialogues.

    • “This is a time for robust dialogue and creative thinking” tragically has come to mean “the older people in charge are so afraid; the entire church much change to help us deal with our fear.”

My mother-in-law’s Protestant Church has scared it’s choir silly with these same “OMG all singers are gonna die!” videos, which are, of course, produced by scientists!  Not that scientists are ever wrong… like the initial pandemic projections were horribly wrong…. or that scientists who don’t peddle the acceptable narrative are marginalized and silenced… but yeah, just ignore that.

What’s wrong with “we will continue to sing in Orthodox churches; if you don’t feel safe, then stay home or don’t sing.”

So much of this coronavirus garbage from the beginning has felt like a bunch of scared silly baby boomers in their 70s wanting the entire world to change so that they dont have to feel their own fear.

Christ tells us dozens of times to “have no fear” even despite fearful circumstances. He never promises us a “right” to live without any fearful circumstances.

Those from the “early days” of St Vlad’s when it was in Manhattan would be so embarrassed by the narcissistic, ecumenical, watered-down, ridiculous stuff that it puts out today.

      • “So much of this coronavirus garbage from the beginning has felt like a bunch of scared silly baby boomers in their 70s wanting the entire world to change so that they dont have to feel their own fear.”

So true. They’re finally being faced with the reality of death and they can’t handle it, therefore we all must suffer the consequences.

  12. “Vaccine Trial Catastrophe: Moderna Vaccine has 20% ‘Serious’ Injury Rate in High Dose Group”

‘The vaccine, developed and championed by Anthony Fauci and financed by Bill Gates, used an experimental mRNA technology that the two men hoped would allow rapid deployment to meet President Trump’s ambitious “warp speed” time line. Dr. Fauci was so confident of his shot’s safety that he waived ferret and primate studies (Moderna suspiciously reported no specific health data from its mouse studies). That appears to have been a mistake.

Three of the 15 human guinea pigs in the high dose cohort (250 mcg) suffered a “serious adverse event” within 43 days of receiving Moderna’s jab. Moderna did not release its clinical trial study or raw data, but its press release, which was freighted with inconsistencies, acknowledged that three volunteers developed Grade 3 systemic events defined by the FDA as “Preventing daily activity and requiring medical intervention.”

Moderna allowed only exceptionally healthy volunteers to participate in the study. A vaccine with those reaction rates could cause grave injuries in 1.5 billion humans if administered to “every person on earth”. That is the threshold that Gates has established for ending the global lockdown”.’

        • “Why are some men double-minded?”
Some men would like to wish everyone well,
but their economic model requires otherwise.
Eg: vaccine makers don’t wish any one person ill,
