It is in this spirit that we are to understand the explosive letter which Archbishop Carlo Mario Vigano recently wrote to President Trump.
The former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, Vigano has been an unstinting critic of Pope Francis. He was pulled from his post in Washington, DC because he saw up-close and personal the rot that was perpetrated by Theodore McCarrick and Donald Wuerl, two of the most recent archbishops of Washington. He knows that not only is there a “deep state” but that there is a “deep church”.

I learned a little about ‘Infiltration‘ during my visit to home of brilliant philosopher + Catholic theologian Alice von Hildebrand, [+ she taught philosophy at Hunter College in NY where Leftists tried to shut her down!] I might add she always expressed positivity for Eastern Orthodox tradition in her many books.
She told me about her famous philosopher husband, Dietrich von Hildebrand + his books + meeting with Pope in 1965 + warned him of Infiltration coming to Catholic church, but the Pope laughed it off
It was too late by then. Essential reading – The Plot Against the Church by Maurice Pinay in 1962 (warning about the future Vatican II) and Broken Cross by Piers Compton in 1984 (After Vatican II). Also critical: Humanum Genus written in 1884 by Pope Leo XIII on Freemasonry. These should be read by all Orthodox as a warning. History is unfolding according to plans described in these books.

I was skeptical of this video from the moment I saw it. Very interesting.

While he was at it he could have thrown in some claims which would have been more plausible than some of the ones he was making, such as Mr. Gugino having appeared so frail on account of having recently been involved in an orgy of fornication with a harem of supermodels. Or he fell so easily due to being injected with an antifa super-solider serum designed to make activists crumble at the slightest touch of police force in spectacular fashion.
This incident was insightful as to who has a spine and who does not, crumbling at the first demand of the inevitable talking points.

If the state can’t enforce law and order against the Marxists, because of what they “appear” to be, or even in fact are, then the state is going to overthrown in short order. We’ve got cities voting to abolish completely the police, while trying to replace them with armed BLM/Antifa/La Raza/Muslims/etc as brownshirts.

We Orthodox need to wake up and realize that if they can infiltrate the Catholic Church they can certainly infiltrate the Orthodox Church, especially since we can hardly even rally the Primates for a single Council to heal the schism between Constantinople and Moscow, much less form a united front against such schemes like the pre-Vatican II popes did. “Strike the shepherd and sheep will scatter,” the Freemasons have struck Rome, Constantinople, and Moscow, taken over all of Mainline Protestantism, and have been responsible for the overthrow of every Christian government they can lay their hands on.
May the Lord preserve, strengthen and help all Christians so as not to forsake orthodoxy wherever it is found.

Christ is real. His Church will survive. In what form, who can say? Only God knows. I affirm all you have said. But the enemy is also real. And to know your enemy and his tactics is part of basic training as a warrior. Archbp. Vigano is a valiant shepherd with backbone in an age of cowardice. His message is valid for every Christian whether Orthodox, Catholic or Protestant. We need to pray during these dark days and grow closer to our Saviour, and especially pray for the world.

1. Belief is not really necessary, Christ is whether I or anyone else “believes”. “Belief” has become a sappy replacement for actual faith and encounter.
2. The last Christian government collapsed in A.D. 1453. Czarist Russia tried from time to time but never quite got there IMO.
Correction: the dissolution and outlawing of the Greek Monarchy 1966-73 was the end of Christian government.

Well said, Michael. I often remind my Middle School/High School-age Sunday school class that what I ‘believe’ or what they ‘believe’ doesn’t matter a whit. All that matters is living in accordance with what is true – or as I prefer to say (since the word “truth” is so often understood as mere ‘religious belief’), according to reality as it is which is the reality of God incarnate and our existence as creatures made in His image.
