Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) was the founder and CEO of FTX, the second largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. Just days ago, he rocked the crypto world by filing for bankruptcy.
What went wrong?
The backstory is that he invested $39.9 million of his investor’s money, including another $35 million, in three different political action committees dedicated to promoting Democrat causes. Two of his deputies at FTX gave an additional $29 million making SBF the second-largest individual donor to Democratic causes in the 2021–2022 election cycle, only behind George Soros.
One such cause was to “help” Ukraine. He took crypto donations, turned the bitcoin into fiat currency, and deposited it into the National Bank of Ukraine. Someone took the money (St Zelensky?) that was supposed to be for Ukraine and put it back into FTX, allowing SBF to donate the money to other Democrat causes. — Causes like funding Democrat candidates in blue states so they could keep/win their seats in Congress.
Money laundering at its finest.
He also funded risky bets through a hedge fund he created called Alameda Research. Caroline Ellison, his girlfriend and CEO, has family ties to the SEC who was rumored to be grooming FTX to take over the crypto market.
In addition, he partnered with the World Economic Forum as a stake holder of Klaus Schwab. Between $1 billion and $2 billion of investor’s currency disappeared through a “secret back door,” which piqued the interest of the SEC.
The SEC has long had an interest in the crypto world because it’s unregulated. The demise of FTX just might be the catalyst they need to finally intervene.
When this story was leaked, investors were horrified and started pulling their money out of FTX but there wasn’t much to pull. SBF had invested so much money, he had no liquid assets to cover the losses and was forced into bankruptcy.
It’s interesting to me that all this came out after the midterms.
Something else I find interesting is SBF invested in at least one political/health related organization, circuitously through Democratic causes, “to help elect candidates who will be champions for pandemic prevention – candidates who, when elected, will have their eyes on the future of vaccines.”
SBF gave $27 million to Protect Our Future PAC.

30 year-old Sam Bankman-Fried, once the CEO of a hugely lucrative enterprise, is now just another cautionary tale. It will take a long time for the crypto world to recover. Maybe some regulation is better than none at all.

Medical evidence is that Our Lord was truly and completely dead.

I never said He didn’t die! If I said that I’d be denying the resurrection. Of course, He died for that is how He could undo death.
Exactly…. Christ was in charge of the entire process until the end. He could have called thousands of Angels to destroy those who crucified Him, but He did not, because He loves us so much and wanted to reunite us with God by destroying death. And allowing His own death was the only way to do that, to reunite man with God, to destroy death once and for all.

Christ decided when it was time to die. He was in charge of the entire process.
Orthodox Holy Week is so unbelievably rich…. it still amazes me to no end every year.
But yes, Christ did indeed die. He was dead. And yes, it was some of God’s own chosen people at the time who rejected him. Some of God’s chosen people obviously did not reject Him — all of the Apostles, “the Noble Joseph,” the myrrhbearing women, obviously Our Holy Mother — all of these people were highly observant Jews. Christ Himself was the most observant Jew who ever lived.
But not much has changed in terms of God’s people rejecting Him….. not to be judgy, but many Orthodox Christians these days seem to reject their own baptisms, or to want God on their own terms, whether that be the fake schismatics “created” by Constantinople, or the “gay baptisms” promoted by “Archbishop” Elpidophoros, etc. It’s all the same thing, wanting God on our own terms rather than approaching Him as He truly is.

Besides, this type of thinking, which is what Gail first introduced, is bordering on saying God wasn’t also fully man. It’s equivalent to correcting someone for saying that God slept, because especially before the incarnation and after the ascension, God ultimately doesn’t sleep at all.

As Breitbart News noted last week, Bankman-Fried recently had a softball interview with the publication and was also accused of mishandling FTX customer investments on a massive scale. Bankman-Fried’s cryptocurrency exchange reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. after a week of scandals.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Bankman-Fried was the sixth-largest donor in this midterm election cycle after he invested about $40 million, mainly on Democrat candidates and causes, with the bulk of the money on primary elections instead of the general elections.
However, this all comes as Fox News and other media outlets have reported that Bankman-Fried’s company reportedly set up a website to help raise funds for Ukrainians during the ongoing attack from Russia, and some have claimed that the funds were subsequently sent to fund the Democrat campaigns Bankman-Fried donated to.

I’m leaning toward the opinion now that the system is so corrupt that participation is a bad idea, even if it means letting the Dems take it. They already have it. Until someone comes up with a viable plan to end the “mail in” cheating and fix the rigged machines, voting is an act in futility, except perhaps in state races in red states.
Trump will likely announce later today. I wish him well, but at this point it is not worth any emotional investment at all.

Poland, NATO Agree Deadly Polish Border ‘Russian Attack’ Was Errant Ukrainian Missile
A mere less than 24 hours ago, before the dust had settled from the explosion and before investigators could come to any definitive conclusions after the deadly incident on the Polish border village of Przewodów, the Western public was already being harangued and forewarned to stay away from ‘conspiracy theories’ as the early mainstream headlines – pushed especially based on an anonymous US official in an Associated Press report – were fast out the gate with “Russian missiles hit Poland, killing two”.
“Article 5” – the NATO collective defense treaty which many had long worried would be the first invoked act leading to WWIII, began trending on Twitter, as Western officials issued confident statements of ‘solidarity’. Almost immediately and without evidence, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky demanded “action” from the West over the supposed brazen aggression against a NATO member. “Hitting NATO territory with missiles… This is a Russian missile attack on collective security! This is a really significant escalation. Action is needed,” Zelensky said his Tuesday night video address.
And then as missile crash site images widely circulated on the internet, leading even Western sources to express doubt that the projectile was launched by Russia, enter no less than the foreign minister of Ukraine, who attempted to preempt what he slammed as a developing Russia-promoted “conspiracy theory”. Like with many other aspects to this war, some of the most obvious common sense questions were quickly declared “off limits” before they could even be asked.
