“For We Wrestle Not Against Flesh and Blood…”

st-georgeOften here at Monomakhos, we use the phrase Zeitgeist or “the spirit of the times.”

We don’t mean that in just a metaphorical sense. There really is a spirit, one which works overtime to destroy the family, our understanding of basic humanity as well as our nation. Though it cannot destroy the Church, it can certainly undermine it.

Secularists and materialists of course don’t believe this and Christians who are sympathetic to humanistic egalitarianism choose not too as well. For this we can thank the rationalism that has eroded Christendom, in pretty much all its forms.

Nevertheless, we ignore this spirit at our peril.

Just in case there was any doubt, please observe the following video.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

Texas Capital Abortion Supporters Chant ‘Hail Satan’

Source: Cahnman’s Musings

texas-capitalIt’s been a very interesting day at the Texas State Capitol. Cahnman’s Musings hasn’t been following the hearing.

Instead, we’ve been participating in the surrounding events. LetTexasSpeak has been doing a live broadcast from the rotunda where women have been sharing their abortion related testimonies. The pro-abortion crowd has responded with repeated chants of “hail Satan.”

It’s taken us all day to get a video recording, but here it is:

Personality, they hate evangelicals and Rick Perry. Now, Texas had Tom Delay who was an Evangelical that supported a cheap labor scheme in one of the US Commonwealth’s where Asian women from places like the Philippines were coming in to do sewing and were told they were being paid the US minimum wage but were not- this is fraud. These women were not only use for sewing but also brothels. The liberal left in Texas thinks a lot of Evangelical politicians are like Tom Delay that don’t live up to their morality Someone representing the pro-life side than the usual people would help.
