Eric Clapton is Not God (But Maybe He’s a Prophet)

God bless Eric Clapton.

Long considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time, he’s still going strong.  He was such a phenomenon when he first burst onto the scene with the Yardbirds, graffiti sprouted up everywhere in London proclaiming that “Eric Clapton is God!”

For the record, he always rejected that enconium.  He’s had a hard life, that’s for sure.  But perhaps he is a prophet.

Last month, he showed the elites the middle finger when he declared that he would never play at a venue in which the non-vaccinated would be segregated from the vaccinated.  A man proud of his working-class roots, we shouldn’t have been surprised.  For him, it’s a matter of principle; I’m talking about real liberal principles, not the mealy-mouthed virtue signaling that is all too popular today.

So, it’s in the spirit of the rebellious vein that used to characterize rock-and-roll, that he just released his newest song, “This Has Gotta Stop”.   You can hear in the lyrics his frustration with the whole lock-down/mandatory vaccination  hysteria.  In this song, he returns to his blues-rock roots and based on its massive popularity, I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes our anthem.

P.S. In case you were wondering, Clapton is no anti-vaxxer.  Several months ago he took the Astra-Zeneca vaccine and suffered horrible side effects.  (Since then, the AZ vax has been pulled from the market.)

  1. Those wonderful guardians against misinformation at YouTube appear to have taken this video down. The link appears to be valid, but the video is “unavailable.”

The lyrics (and a video) can found here:

    • YouTube Brags About Removing 10 MILLION
VIDEOS PER QUARTER Censoring The TRUTH About COVID19…

‘ YouTube has admitted to removing nearly 10 million videos each quarter. In a blog post on Wednesday, the site’s Chief Product Officer Neal Mohan said the company took down millions of videos it deemed as “misinformation.”

Mohan added the majority of content being removed was determined to be “dangerous coronavirus information.” ‘

Information is indeed dangerous; so dangerous
that YouTube will save you from getting any…

    • Ronda Wintheiser says

      Thank you, Brian.

I can see the lyrics, but the video doesn’t play. 🙁

    • George Michalopulos says

      Of course they have!

In light of the debacle in Kabul, I’d say it’s very ironic because we incessantly were told that our brave soldiers were their “fighting for our freedoms”. You know last week, that Taliban minister of information shut down our reporters rather handily, didn’t he?

Big Tech is more that a little censorious, isn’t it? A song, seriously?

      • “that Taliban minister of information shut down our reporters rather handily, didn’t he?”

Can you please supply a link.

  2. Also, he did another song last year protesting the lockdowns.
Written by Van Morrison called Stand and Deliver

  3. In taking the vaccine, Eric made a mistake.
Eric publicly admitted his mistake and tried to warn others.
It takes a big man to do that.

    • An even bigger mistake was breaking up Cream.

    • Hasn’t Eric heard? All that inflammation, paralysis, etc. simply means the vaccine is working! He is now 90%… woops, I mean 60%… woops I mean maybe(?) 30% protected from exposure to the virus. And isn’t it great that he won’t be able to spread it to others? Woops I mean maybe less likely…uhhhh maybe.

Trust science and get vaccinated now! It is proven to be safe and effective. And be sure to mask up…just in case.

  4. I just watched it on YouTube:

  5. American Red Cross
COVID-19 Vaccine Blood Donation Guide for Donors

If You Have Recovered From COVID-19
‘ Patients who have fully recovered following a COVID-19 diagnosis may have antibodies in their blood plasma that can help those with serious or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections. However, individuals who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are not eligible to donate convalescent plasma with the Red Cross. ‘

If you’ve been vaccinated, we don’t want your blood…

  6. Being a guitar player, I used to think Clapton was kind of lazy, like Keith Richard or George Harrison. My favorite Stones stuff was when Mick Taylor was with them.

Then I heard two things: His live work with Cream back in the late 60’s and some of his live playing with Steve Winwood (both of Blind Faith), both of which you can find online. When he’s inspired and wants to lay it on, he certainly can.

As to the vaccine, sounds like he had a bad reaction and told the truth about it, even writing a song about the emerging police state. YouTube/Big Brother has taken it down but you can still find it on Rumble.

Clapton has a history going back to the 70’s of saying things that freak out the left. He was anti-immigration way back. Later he was forced to apologize but you get the feeling from the totality of his public commentary that he has a conservative heart.

    • Have you ever read Keith Richards’s memoirs? It’s fantastic. He was a brilliant guitar player in his own way. Eventually he moved to a five string set up tuned in open G, and he would keep one string open to have a drone effect.

Mick Taylor was fantastic. The others were jealous, so they pushed him to the side, although it’s not really the kind of band that needs a lead guitar. Some Girls wouldn’t have worked with Mick Taylor.

It says a lot about the band’s petty wars over control that “Driving Sister Fanny” was cut from the album and later released on some kind of outtakes compilation. Taylor really was underutilized. I think they always did better with guest musicians than bringing people into the band (or letting them hang around) and then not really using them.

  7. The “factcheck” dance:

Q: I’ve heard claims that the Red Cross refuses to accept convalescent plasma from individuals who have received a COVID-19 vaccine because it wipes out the antibodies. Is this true?

A: There are claims circulating that incorrectly state that the Red Cross will not accept convalescent plasma donations from those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine because “the vaccine wipes out those antibodies making the convalescent plasma ineffective in treating other COVID-19 patients.” This is not accurate.

The FDA [dodge, the question is only directed at Red Cross policy, nobody was asking about the corrupt FDA] allows people who have received a COVID-19 vaccine to donate dedicated COVID-19 convalescent plasma within six months of their infection of the virus, based on data that antibodies from natural infection can decline after six months.

Due to the decline in hospital demand and because the Red Cross and our industry partners have been able to build a sufficient supply of convalescent plasma to meet the foreseeable needs of COVID-19 patients the Red Cross stopped collecting convalescent plasma completely on June 14.

But, the admission that they are refusing vaccinated blood, and the only thing debunked was the “because” (why) they were doing it, that the vaccines “wipe” out antibodies rather than be vastly inferior those produced by the body naturally.

One of the Red Cross requirements for plasma from routine blood and platelet donations that test positive for high-levels of antibodies to be used as convalescent plasma is that it must be from a donor that has not received a COVID-19 vaccine. This is to ensure that antibodies collected from donors have sufficient antibodies directly related to their immune response to a COVID-19 infection and not just the vaccine, as antibodies from an infection and antibodies from a vaccine are not the same.”

  8. “…but you get the feeling from the totality of his public commentary that he has a conservative heart.”

More of a human heart, I think. Something we are increasingly not permitted to have.

  9. Here’s a real prophet, at the prophesying:

Switzerland warns of terror attacks on Covid-19 vaccine sites

‘ ZURICH (BLOOMBERG) – Switzerland’s Federal Intelligence Service is warning of potential terrorist attacks on coronavirus vaccine infrastructure including vaccination centres, transport and manufacturing facilities, newspaper NZZ am Sonntag reported on Sunday (Aug 29).

“Attacks on such targets would both hit large crowds and generate intensive media coverage,” the agency’s spokesman Isabelle Graber said in a written response to questions from NZZ. ‘

Are you scared yet? If not, read on:

‘ The agency is concerned about attacks from militant groups, the newspaper reported. So far, there are no tangible indications of planned attacks, according to the agency. … ‘

Got that? There ‘are no tangible indications of planned attacks’, ZERO, ZILCH…!!!

And where is the story sourced? In Switzerland.
And who lives in Switzerland? The WHO and GAVI,
the chief drivers of medical martial law.

So, children, of whom should we be afraid? Terrorists or Governments?
‘Anti-vaxxers’ or Intelligence and Medical Agencies?

[ James Corbett has an excellent video [12:52] on this subject at: ]

  10. One might want to consider this video, for a slightly different perspective:

    This was frightening

  11. An interesting thought experiment:

One wonders (or does one even need to wonder?) just how different this whole vaccination narrative would be if Donald Trump was the one in office encouraging vaccination, continually insisting on its safety and efficacy, downplaying both the VAERS reports and the lack of hard science on its possible long-term effects while allowing and/or encouraging mandatory vaccination.

Does anyone believe the mainstream media, Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. would be behaving as they do now? Would we not be regaled night and day with the very same horror stories (however few they may be as a percentage of the vaccinated) that are now downplayed as “anecdotal” and “extremely rare?” Would not both the safety and efficacy be under constant scrutiny and continually questioned? Would there not be serious accusations that the FDA has been politicized? Calls for Investigation, etc.? Would the concerns of many be so easily dismissed as “unscientific?” Would there not be outrage over the mandatory vaccination of anyone?

    Just ask yourself.

    • George Michalopulos says

We don’t have to wonder. Last year, before the election both Biden and Harris were asked about Operation Warp Speed and the Trump-Pence initiative. Would they take the vaccine? “No” they both said.

      • No, we don’t have to wonder, do we?

You can add Nancy Pelosi and a long list of other Democrats who said the same. It was one of their usual coordinated talking points. ” I trust science, but I don’t trust the Trump vaccine” – which is, of course, the very vaccine(s) they are now pushing so vigorously. Their rhetoric (God bless em!) is one of the main reasons vaccination rates are so low in black communities (with no apology to the Leftists for failing to capitalize the “B”)

        The hype-ocracy knows no bounds.

        • The primary reason vaccination rates are so low in the black community is the collective cultural memory of the Tuskegee Experiment, which after all was run by the CDC.

That reality should serve as a warning to all ethnicities.

          • George Michalopulos says

Point taken regarding the Tuskegee Syphilis Study.

This is where things start to fall apart for the Democrat coalition: Already, three major government employee unions are defying mandatory vaccination orders. The UPSP, SEIU in California and one in Washington State. I was recently sent a letter from a friend in Chicago from the local school board. Basically it said that there will be no more bus service for your children to and from school. The parents are on their own.

Now ask yourself this: why are these govt unions so defiant? Is it because a heavy percentage of their members are black?

FWIW, there’s only one other demographic that’s more hesitant resistant. That would be PhDs.
