What’s True in the Beginning Remains True

People wanted normalcy so bad they are suppressing memories of what happened, and some people went through the whole thing largely apathetic. It seriously just stopped happening like 12-18 months ago?!”

Good question.

I wrote the attached story March 15, 2020.  I knew something was amiss.  George and I wanted no part of it.  It took us all of 5 minutes to decide we were not going to play the “COVID game,” even though because George was a pharmacist he was at a higher risk.

We figured God knew when He was going to take us and it wasn’t up to us to try and avoid it, were that even possible.

Between the two of us we have 75 years in healthcare.  We lived through the whole AIDS/AZT thing and Fauci’s name was all over it.  Whatever he was selling, we weren’t buying it.

However, we could never have predicted our country was being attacked.  Trump knew.  The same week, he closed up Cheyenne Mountain as a protective measure.  In Proclamation 9994 of March 13, 2020 (executive order Executive Order 13911 of March 27, 2020), he declared a national emergency.  Days later he wrote executive orders (plural) bringing the Secretary of Homeland Security into it.  Not sure he would have done that if it was just a novel virus.     https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/04/01/2020-06969/delegating-additional-authority-under-the-defense-production-act-with-respect-to-health-and-medical

Dr. Scott Atlas, the special coronavirus adviser to Trump, also knew something was amiss  He just came out with a new book entitled: “A Plague Upon Our House,” (great name, isn’t it?) which promises to be revealing.  Fauci, Birx and the whole COVID crowd hated him.   He was “just a chiropractor” they said, but he nailed it from the beginning.

What were they really afraid of?      – That he wasn’t one of them.

According to Atlas, “No matter what the President himself said, the Vice President and political team feared Fauci and Birx, who held extremely high political approval. That was a de facto authorization, allowing them to formulate and then communicate what the public would hear as the administration’s policy recommendations.” This is a stunning revelation, and it is hard to imagine another point in American history when two unelected officials wielded this level of authority over administration policy.”  https://stanfordreview.org/a-plague-upon-our-house-by-scott-atlas-book-review/

George and I knew we were in trouble when Birx said COVID was being put on the death certificate as the cause of death even in cases where a patient may have died from another cause, grossly inflating the number of COVID cases.  As the number of cases increased so did the fear factor.   In Florida, for example, a patient died of trauma induced injuries sustained in a car accident and they put COVID as the cause of of death against his family’s objections.

They didn’t even have to use a PCR test, which was/is unreliable according to its inventor, Kary Mullis, though they still continue to use it.  If you had the sniffles or a fever, they could legally assume you had COVID, without the benefit of a test, based on your symptoms.  They dropped the flu altogether, as if it didn’t exist.

The CDC maintains there were too few flu cases to count.  Yet the flu has been around for at least 1,500 years, beginning with Hippocrates (5th century BC) who first reported that an influenza-like illness spread from Northern Greece elsewhere.  What are the chances it would disappear in 2020?

Fighting this thing called “public health” is not without its consequences, however.  Doctors were terrified to explore it.  As a result, George and I lost our own primary care physician who may have decided to “chuck it.”  He moved to Florida.  Even mentioning an alternative could get you in trouble.

By way of example, Trump mentioned Ivermectin and the press’ response was:  “Ivermectin, hailed as Covid wonder drug by Trump fans, does not prevent severe illness, study finds”  https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/covid-ivermectin-study-jama-malaysia-b2018597.html

He mentioned hydroxychloroquine and the same thing happened.  The headlines read:  “The FDA has issued repeated warnings about the dangers of the drug.”  Hydroxychloroquine has been around since the 1940s. Some people have it in their medicine cabinet to treat malaria.  Today you’re more likely to take it if you have rheumatoid arthritis or lupus but it’s not some new, unknown drug they are afraid to prescribe.  https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/may/18/trump-taking-hydroxychloroquine-covid-19-fda-warnings

It got to ridiculous extremes when Trump was accused of injuring a woman and killing her husband because they confused the name hydroxychloroquine with the name chloroquine phosphate which they drank from their fish tank to avoid getting COVID.  As I recall, the story was debunked.  https://www.pharmacypracticenews.com/Covid-19/Article/03-20/Man-Dies-Wife-Hospitalized-From-Ingesting-Fish-Tank-Cleaner-to-Prevent-COVID-19/57707?ses=ogst

The world is in a crazy place.  But “Out of chaos comes growth,” my grandmother used to say.  If we didn’t go through this we wouldn’t be able to change it.  The important thing is to remember your values.  Don’t become provoked.  Find points of agreement.  Because if we don’t come through this together, it will be our undoing.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6 & 4:19

If I told you the miraculous things he has done for me in my own life you would be amazed and some of you would have a hard time believing it but it’s all true.

In the last recession, my husband and I were both out of work.  We had two bank accounts with -0- dollars in them.  I called my family into the room and showed them our statements.  My son was horrified.  My daughter began to cry.  “Mom, what are we going to do?”  I told them, we’re going to see what what GOD can do.  Whatever happens to us is completely in His hands AND  GOD CAN BE TRUSTED.

Within the next two weeks my husband and I were each were offered jobs.  I had to take a train at 6:00 am into L.A., and then the subway for another half hour, and walk several blocks to my job.  I was 58 and it wasn’t easy but I was so grateful for the opportunity.

The subways in LA are deep underground.  There are 75 deep steps (I counted) that you have to climb to get to the top of the subway station.  My first day I was out-of-shape and the escalator was out-of-order.  I had on heels and carried a purse.  Attempting to climb those steps seemed like an impossibility.  I got to the middle of the stairs and had to stop.  I could not take one more stepSo I prayed, “God I need you.  I cannot do this.”

Out of nowhere this black guy appeared coming down the other side of the stairs.  He and I were the only ones there.  Without introductions, he yelled. “Take one more step.”  So I took another step.  And then he said again, “Take another step.  You can do it.  I’m right here.  I will not leave you until you are at the top.”   That guy willed me up those stairs.  Every step I took he praised me.  And when I reach the top, he was gone.   –  God truly is everywhere.

It’s time to fill up your cars with gas, get some cash out of the ATM, and buy some extra food if you haven’t already.  Really.

Get some black eyed peas, too.  We could use a little “luck.”  And pray, which is the Orthodox version of “luck.”  Just say, “God, I need you.”

When my daughter was a little girl, she liked to do most things herself but sometimes she would say, “Mommy, come.”  I was there in instant.  Truth be told, I was always there.  God is like that.  He is always there.

Happy New Year, everyone.  It promises to be like none other.  But we will prevail.

  2. Thanks for sharing your vulnerabilities and how you stepped through them. If it wasn’t for the grace of God, I would have succumbed to deep depression over the last 18 years. Happy New Year whatever it may be. We shall walk arm in arm with God through the valley of darkness 2024. Onward to the Light!

Turn your eyes to the light,
Cast away the works of darkness,
    Let them go:
Turn your eyes to the light.
Turn your eyes to the sun:
    Feel the warmth,
    The hope of new beginnings
    With each new year.
    The light was always there
    If we could but see it;
And warmth was in the air
If we’d known how to feel.
Turn your eyes to the light.
Turn your face to the sun:
New light, new hope, new year.

    Turn your ears to the sound;
    Somewhere near, a voice is calling;
    Hear the news,
Turn your ears to the sound.
    Turn your heart to the love;
    Christ is come to bring
    The world new life.
    The voice is always there,
    If the world will hear it;
    And love is always there
If you search in your heart.
Turn your ears to the sound.
Turn your heart to the love:
New life, new love, new year.
New live and love, and light and hope,
    This good New Year.

  4. New Safety Concerns About the COVID Shots Arise
    Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola

‘ According to research published in December 2023, the mRNA COVID shots suffer high rates of ribosomal “frameshifting,” which causes your cells to produce off-target proteins that can trigger unintended immune reactions
According to the authors, off-target cellular immune responses occur in 25% to 30% of people who have received the COVID shot

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration are refusing to release the RNA stability data they supposedly relied on when approving a change to Pfizer’s shot that allowed it to be transported and stored at temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius instead of -70 C

The FDA also authorized Pfizer to swap the phosphate-buffered saline buffer used in the adult formulations, to a tromethamine (Tris) buffer in the children’s version. FDA did not require any kind of testing to be conducted, and no data have been released in support of its decision to allow the swap

According to research published in 2023, the nanolipid in Comirnaty, made by Pfizer/BioNTech, is toxic to cells and triggers proinflammatory cytokines and reactive oxygen species that can disrupt the mitochondrial membrane causing it to release its content, cause RNA mistranslation, DNA mutations, destruction of the nuclear membrane and more. Frequent repetitions of COVID boosters and/or using mRNA in other vaccines poses a grave public health risk, the scientist warns ‘

        Proverbs 11:1

    • That he is unwelcome is perhaps hinted at,
but does not appear to be explicitly stated.

    • Joseph Lipper says

Go ahead and read the actual letter from the Synaxis of the monasteries of Mt. Athos. There is nothing there that says that Archbishop Elpidophoros will not be welcome on his planned visit to Philotheos and Xenophontos later this month.

      • Have you ever lived abroad for any length of time, Mr Lipper? I have. Have you ever lived in a stateside community where a large numberof your neighbors are recent immigrants or their children? I do. I can say with relative confidence that most of the world’s people aren’t like us brash Americans. They tend to act more reserved and their manner of speaking is indirect.

How much more so must this be true of communications from contemplative Athonite abbots, especially when they are addressing their ruling hierarch? Here’s a paragraph from their letter to Bartholomew:

“We regret to note that, through the published photos of the Archbishop of America, after the end of the sacrament, a wrong impression was created regarding the acceptance by the Church of the sacrament of same-sex marriage, a message contrary to the doctrines and teachings of the Orthodox Church. This fact, contrary to the evangelical teaching, provokes the intense reflection of our Holy Community.”

The man who takes words only at their face value may not be able to grasp the monks’ intent but I get the impression that they are trying to say that they were scandalised by Elpidophoros’ participation in that gay baptism in Greece, that he is close to being a heretic, and that they do not want him to come to Mt. Athos to visit.

        • I suspect that wherever Joseph lives is abroad…

        • Joseph Lipper says

Lawrence, I would say that calling Holy Baptism a “gay baptism” just because the baptized children’s legal guardians are openly gay is pretty brash, and I would even say that it’s blasphemous. Do note that the Athonite monks don’t use the term “gay baptism”.

If we read the letter, it just says the monk’s concern is with how the media portrayed a “wrong impression”. A wrong impression was created by the media. It happens all the time.

The Greek Archdiocese didn’t publish any story or photographs on this either. They were not the source of the “wrong impression”.

          • “A wrong impression was created by the media. It happens all the time.”

No, Joseph. The wrong impression (possibly the intended impression) was created by the archbishop. The media reported on it accurately. Thus the monks’ understandable concern.

Side note: I was willing to give Eleni Bousis the benefit of the doubt in terms of her motives for wanting her grandchildren baptised into the Church until I read her ranting, ignorant screed against the Fathers of Mt. Athos that clearly demonstrated a total disregard for the moral ethos of the Church, as well as a complete lack of intention to help raise these children in the Faith of their Fathers.

I won’t be holding my breath waiting for her to be corrected.

            • “…lack of intention to help raise these children in the Faith of their Fathers..”

Correction: “…in the Faith of her Fathers.” Mrs. Bousis apparently has every intention of seeing to it that these children are reared in the ‘faith’ of their (two) fathers, biologically impossible though this is.

          • I was speaking in shorthand, Joseph. Of course the baptism itself was not “gay” but that’s the way that most of us refer to it. You will recognize also that I did not bring up the issue of the motherhood of the children, i.e. how they were given birth through surrogacy, which is also against our Orthodox teachings. Nor did I suggest that the boys will be raised by two men who, by their illicit sexual relationship, will ipso factobe guardians who will deny them the nurture of a loving mother, and will queer the example of marital cohabitation for right-thinking Orthodox chidren. This ungodly scheme does violence to maternity, to motherhood, and to a woman’s God-given place in the family.

            • Two comments:

              1. One of the two children is a girl. (See, https://greekreporter.com/2022/07/11/first-greek-orthodox-baptism-gay-couple-greece/)

              2. Bousis himself described the affair as “the first openly gay baptism in the Greek Orthodox Church.” (See, https://media.pravoslavie.ru/385324.b.jpg?mtime=1657524275, taken from https://orthochristian.com/147132.html.)

I am not aware of anything said by Elpidophoros that contradicted the above-quoted characterization.

              • Joseph Lipper says

The original “gay baptism” comment came from the Instagram post of someone who is in a civil union outside of the Orthodox Church. According to the Greek Archdiocese, this would preclude Mr. Bousis from being in good standing:

“The Church does not allow for her members to contract same-sex unions or any other form of cohabitation apart from marriage.”

Archbishop Elpidophoros really doesn’t have to respond to silly Instagram posts. His silence on the matter, rather, seems to reflect his personal intention to keep the baptism as a private affair.

                • It’s like that quote: “Where’s the beef.” One person says it and then everyone is repeating it. Just because one person started it doesn’t make it “silly.” His personal intentions are irrelevant. HE isn’t the boss. The Church is the boss.

                • “His silence on the matter, rather, seems to reflect his personal intention to keep the baptism as a private affair.”

This would explain (or should I say “CPlain,” a word akin to “popesplaining”) why it was done in Greece and not quietly in one of his own parishes…with a large crowd…with celebrities…with photographers…with a big party…with a famous Greek singer…

                  Yeah. That makes perfect sense.

                  • Michael Bauman says

There is nothing in the Church that is private.

                    • Michael,

You are absolutely correct. Being baptized into Christ is an ecclesial event that involves the entire Church, His Body.

And what a mockery it was that every single person, with exception of the children themselves, who were present for this ‘ecclesial event’
confessed themselves to be in open rebellion (in the name of ‘love,’ of course) against the Life of this Body.

Everyone, that is, except Elpidophoros who, Mr. Lipper assures us, strictly follows the precepts of this Body.

“I baptize children,” he responds to his critics. To which the Faithful may reasonably reply, “Into what?”

                • My implied point is that by saying nothing about Bousis’ posting, Elpi essentially embraced the message. But, okay, that is a matter of opinion.

The idea that Elpi wanted to keep the baptism a “private affair” is laughable. It is not open for debate how Elpi decided to perform the baptism, after allegedly the local metropolitan declined to do so, and decided to go along with having it done in Greece, which is sort of out of his normal area of operations. Maybe the fact that he’s buddies with Bousis’ mother had something to do with it?

He knew the score, he knew who was involved. Presumably he knew that the children came from the womb of a woman who is not being viewed as a parent. He went along with all this, and posed with a beeming smile afterwards, with the “parents” and the celebrity godparents, and the wealthy family and guests. He did all that instead of conducting a lowkey baptism, instead of keeping it to a simple baptism for the benefit of the children, and opted instead to be part of a celebrity event.

One has to be pretty naive not to realize that Archibishops of the GOA (and other “high ranking” clerics are attracted to wealth and power and celebrity. That was his motivation, not just an interest in performing a baptism. Elpi is no exception.

                  • We agree on this point: Elpi doesn’t care. Why would he keep that thing private when it was so much more fun for him to throw it in our faces?

  8. That he is unwelcome is perhaps hinted at,

    • I think that’s a bit disengenuine to Athos, Kosta.

They collectively might not speak on every little thing, but when they do, Greece listens and the Orthodox world listens. Have a couple of them caved on the OCU? Yes. But, an exponentially higher amount have not. That doesn’t even include the small hermitages that are scattered across Athos. In the past they have also called out Bartholomew and by-and-large ignored him during covid.

  13. Climate INSANITY – It’s too COLD for electric busses

PETER IMANUELSEN | Busses are being cancelled as
Sweden experiences the coldest weather this century

‘ As you might have heard, we are still waiting on the global warming in Sweden. We just had the coldest temperature this century.

Back in 2006 the media warned us that by 2026 people would have forgotten how to ski because of the lack of snow…

Now it’s being reported that a person living in Arjeplog noted a chillingly cold -49,7C (that’s -57,5 Fahrenheit) on his thermometer before it stopped working when it hit -50C.

This is very close to being the coldest temperature ever recorded in Sweden. The record sits at -52,6C all the way back in 1966.

This cold weather is causing trouble for public transport. You see, the city of Skellefteå where they “only” had -34C this morning, have been investing in electric busses, to save the climate of course! Their goal is to replace all diesel busses with electric as soon as possible.

It turns out that they are having to CANCEL almost all busses today because of the cold weather – The busses have to be parked indoors to warm up.

They say that the electric busses are struggling to keep warm in the cold weather.

“The electric busses will probably be removed from traffic this afternoon because they have very difficult to keep warm when in service…It is clear that the electric busses are affected the most of this extreme cold” said Marie Larsson, CEO at Skellefteå buss.

When asked if diesel busses can manage these kind of temperatures, she answered “Yes. I mean, no busses can handle these kind of temperatures for long…when it is like this for several days, all busses are affected”

So it is too cold for the new electric busses. They invest all this time and money into something that doesn’t work because of the weather.

Of course, the electric busses use their battery to heat the cabin, meaning that the range is drastically shortened. Is this the real issue here?

Maybe we need some more global warming so that these electric busses can work properly…? ‘

    • Like electric cars. File it under “it seemed like a good idea at the time.”

      • Perhaps they could put a diesel engine into each bus
to generate electricity to heat the cabin and turn the wheels?

  14. Bret Weinstein lays out how Big Pharma works
and where it is taking us – to a WHO Coup d’Etat:

Former professor tells Tucker how Big Pharma
used ‘evil’ tactics to push deadly COVID shot

Bret Weinstein said pharmaceutical companies are highly effective in persuading ‘the medical establishment, the [academic] journals, the [professional] societies, the hospitals, the government, to direct people towards drugs they wouldn’t otherwise be taking.’

    (54:58) Facing Goliath

(LifeSiteNews) — ‘ Bret Weinstein has exposed how the corrupt relationship between Big Pharma, the media and the political establishment resulted in billions of people receiving the dangerous COVID-19 shot.

“Basically, every day of the year, pharma is engaged in portraying the properties they own as more useful than they are, safer than they are,” he told Tucker Carlson on his X show last week. It seeks to persuade “the medical establishment, the [academic] journals, the [professional] societies, the hospitals, the government, to direct people towards drugs they wouldn’t otherwise be taking.”

Weinstein is a former professor of evolutionary biology at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He gained national media attention in 2017 when he criticized a woke-inspired “Day of Absence” that directed white staff and faculty to not show up for work. The event was purportedly aimed at raising awareness about racial disparities.

A self-described “progressive, left-libertarian,” Weinsten has made dozens of appearances on the Joe Rogan podcast as well as alternative media in recent years to discuss politics, the medical industry, and various treatments for COVID-19.

Although he has admitted in previous interviews to supporting lockdowns and the shot itself, he told Carlson that Big Pharma is an “intellectual property racket” that leverages its influence in various industries to promote its dangerous products.

“Its profits go up to the extent that the disease is widespread, to the extent that the disease is serious, to the extent that competing drugs are unsafe or ineffective, to the extent that the government will mandate a drug, to the extent of the medical establishment will declare the standard of care,” Weinstein said.

“And so, when COVID happened, all of this occurred at a different scale because it was bigger than anything that had ever happened before. But none of that was new to pharma, and all of it was new to us.”

“Most of us did not realize how elaborate its bag of tricks is,” he added.

Carlson and Weinstein also discussed the negative effects of the COVID shot. Weinstein said that the shot was misleadingly named a “vaccine” and that it has been reported to have a 1 in 800 shot rate of causing serious adverse reactions.

“We clearly are seeing an uptick in cancers, and an uptick in cancers that are unusual, especially in their speed,” he observed. “Cancers are one of the failure modes of the body. And this highly novel technology clearly had that as a risk.”

Weinstein also said he saw a “credible estimate” that the shot has caused nearly 17 million deaths around the world.

“I think a lot of us, maybe call us ‘normies,’ have a hard time imagining the breathtaking evil that it would take to allow such a tragedy to unfold or to cause it to unfold for profit,” he said.

“Once you have stepped on that slippery slope, though, once you have become comfortable with causing deaths, then I believe it becomes very easy to rationalize that the greater good is being served by X, Y, or Z,” he added.

“They’ve got to the point that they are willing to cause a huge amount of death apparently even at the point that it’s been revealed in public, they don’t stop, which is another amazing fact,” he further explained. “You would imagine that they would have been embarrassed into stopping this vaccination program at this point.”

In 2020, Weinstein attempted to form a bipartisan “unity” ticket to avoid a Donald Trump or Joe Biden presidency. At the time, he unsuccessfully sought to nominate former Hawaii Congresswoman and one-time Democrat Tulsi Gabbard and Texas GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw. He complained that news of his efforts was being censored on Twitter. Weinstein’s brother, Eric, who coined the term “intellectual dark web,” has gained notoriety as a hedge fund manager for Thiel Capital.

Weinstein further argued that his overall “hypothesis” of what happened during COVID is that Big Pharma had a “tremendously lucrative property that it couldn’t bring to market because a safety test would have revealed [it].” Yet the one thing that “would bypass that obstacle was an emergency that caused the public to demand a remedy to allow them to go back to work, to living their lives, that would cause the government to streamline the safety testing process so that it wouldn’t spot these things.”

“The hypothesis in question,” he continued, is that Big Pharma “used an emergency to bypass [a safety] obstacle to bring an incredibly lucrative [mRNA] technology [to market] … to sneak it by the things that were would ordinarily prevent a dangerous technology like this one from being widely deployed.”

“We tend to imagine that pharma is hellbent on finding drugs that will make us healthy,” Weinstein ultimately argued. “That’s not what it is. In fact, pharma is healthy when people are sick.” ‘

Did HCQ Really Cause 17,000 Deaths?
Experts Weigh in on Flawed But Highly Touted Study

John-Michael Dumais | A new French retrospective study claimed hydroxychloroquine caused nearly 17,000 deaths when used on hospitalized COVID-19 patients. But experts contended the analysis relied on flawed data, ignored evidence showing efficacy with early outpatient treatment, and amounted to a political attack on HCQ pioneer Dr. Didier Raoult.

‘ Nearly 17,000 people in the U.S. and five other countries “may have died” early in the pandemic because they used hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to treat COVID-19, according to a paper published in the February 2024 issue of Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy.

Major media outlets, including Politico, The Hill and Forbes ran with the headline.

However, physicians and scientists interviewed by The Defender said the study’s authors based their conclusions on flawed data and ignored the large body of evidence showing the efficacy of HCQ for early, outpatient treatment of the virus.

The French study is a retrospective meta-analysis of 44 papers with data on hospitalized patients in the U.S., France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Turkey from March through July 2020.

The researchers stated that mortality rates varied significantly from across hospitals and regions, and acknowledged they could not account for how these rates were influenced by “age, sex, comorbidities, ICU capacity, improvement in COVID-19 management” and other factors.

For 90% of the total hospitalizations reviewed, the researchers had to guess at the rate of patients exposed to HCQ, offering ranges from a low of 16.3% to a high of 99.1%. In the U.S., which accounted for 73% of the study’s data set, that number ranged from 16.3% to 75.9%, or between 144,750 and 674,020 patients.

They also had to guess how much HCQ or its analog chloroquine (CQ) was administered. Furthermore, they readily admitted, “The effect of HCQ on mortality was the main source of uncertainty for the proposed estimates” and that those estimates could be overstated by a factor of 5 (i.e., only 3,000 may have died) or understated by a factor of 2 (i.e., 30,000 may have died).

The study also said nothing about the impact of other drugs patients may have received, such as remdesivir, or whether patients were put on ventilators prior to dying. These two factors alone — widely practiced in U.S. hospitals during the pandemic — are known to have significantly increased COVID-19 mortality.

Dr. Peter McCullough told The Defender the 44 studies used in the meta-analysis were “heterogeneous” and that “Nonrandomized, retrospective cross-sectional cohorts created from administrative data demonstrated confounding by indication.”

In other words, this type of look-back study could not reliably tell if HCQ had an effect or not as it is unable to control for the various ways the treatment and non-treatment groups differed from the start, nor could it account for the different methods or results used in the studies.

“That means hospitalists desperate to help patients administered HCQ too late in the course and patients were too far gone,” McCullough said. “In this circumstance, it wasn’t the HCQ that caused death — it was COVID-19 illness.”

Harvey Risch, M.D., Ph.D., professor emeritus of epidemiology at Yale, told The Defender that such studies must address not just the risks associated with a medication, but the additional risks associated with patients’ pre-existing conditions. He said:

“In the case of hospital use of HCQ, studies must adjust for the various chronic conditions that predispose to HCQ use, such as obesity, diabetes, chronic cardiac diseases, chronic kidney diseases, cancer history, immunocompromise, etc.

“I don’t see that the cohort studies used as data for analysis in this paper have been able to do that, so conclusions about HCQ associations as actually causal are inappropriate and unsupported.

“Virtually every nonrandomized study that I have seen over the last four years shows that patients taking HCQ tend to have worse health and worse chronic conditions. That makes this paper’s assumption that HCQ use is causally associated with increased mortality risk fiction, which makes the study’s conclusions fiction.”

Risch also said, “Hospitalized COVID-19 is a totally different disease than outpatient COVID-19.” He said the French study “is irrelevant for that,” and that his work showing the effectiveness of HCQ is with outpatient use “to prevent hospitalization and mortality.”

Joe Rogan on his Tuesday episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” shared what Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Children’s Health Defense chairman on leave, told him about the study:

“I asked Robert Kennedy Jr. about this and he sent me the actual study, and he sent me what the results were and here’s what was wrong with them. First of all, they administered it to people that were already in the hospital for COVID. You’re supposed to give it to people within the first 10-14 days. That’s when it’s effective. After that, it’s not effective. After the infection has reached a certain level. Second of all, there is a level that you would give these people and this was far above that level, and they were giving it to people who are already dying. He was like, they’re essentially overdosing them while they’re already dying with hydroxychloroquine and saying this contributed to 17,000 deaths.”

Studies cited for odds ratio used ‘potentially fatal’ HCQ dosages

The researchers derived the 1.11 (11%) odds ratio they used to estimate HCQ-linked mortality from a 2021 meta-analysis of randomized trials.

That meta-analysis drew 63% of its data from the World Health Organization (WHO) Solidarity trial and the Wellcome Trust and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-sponsored U.K. Recovery trial, both of which were deeply flawed.

Dr. Meryl Nass reported on the “potentially fatal” dosages of HCQ and CQ used in the Solidarity trial — 2.4 grams during the first 24 hours, and a cumulative dose of 9.2 grams over 10 days. Nass also called out the trial design, which led to HCQ being given too late in the progression of the disease to be of benefit.

After Nass contacted the WHO to report her observations, the trial was paused and several countries withdrew from the trial before it restarted.

Normally, chronic daily use of HCQ for people experiencing systemic lupus or rheumatoid arthritis is between 200 and 400 milligrams (mg) daily or a maximum of 5 mg/kilogram (kg). Malaria treatments call for 2,000 mg (2 grams) divided over three days for patients over 60 kg. A prophylactic dose for malaria is typically 400 mg once a week for eight weeks.

The U.K. Recovery trial had similar issues related to dosages — more than 4 times the amount typically recommended for any similar medical condition. Nass reported that Twitter users who noticed the dosing problem in the study protocol began reporting on it with the hashtag #RecoveryGate.

During the Recovery trial, 396 of 1,542 people who received HCQ while hospitalized died — about 10% higher than standard care. Researchers reported “no clinical benefit” from the use of HCQ.

“The doses used in these trials are not recommended for therapy of any medical condition,” wrote Nass. “These trials are not, in fact, testing the benefits of HCQ on Covid-19, but rather are testing whether patients survive toxic, non-therapeutic doses.”

HCQ, in use since 1955, is included on WHO’s list of “essential medicines.”

      HCQ and COVID

Many doctors began using HCQ early in the pandemic, often in combination with zinc and an antibiotic such as azithromycin (AZM).

“Consented, prospective cohort studies that administered HCQ with AZM early in the hospitalization demonstrated reductions in mortality early in the pandemic,” McCullough said, citing Arshad et al., 2020.

In April 2020, a survey of U.S. doctors found that two-thirds would prescribe CQ or HCQ to “treat or prevent COVID-19 in a family member.”

Among the HCQ pioneers was French physician Didier Raoult, who ran numerous studies showing the effectiveness of the anti-malarial drug against COVID-19.

By early spring 2020, Raoult had treated more than 1,000 patients with an HCQ and AZM protocol, finding a 91% direct success rate and a .47% death rate (for five people ranging from 74-95 years old), with 0% cardiac toxicity, when treatment was started immediately after diagnosis.

A group of French doctors subsequently filed a petition urging the prime minister and minister of health to make HCQ available in all French hospitals.

Dr. Vladimir “Zev” Zelenko (since deceased) used a similar protocol in the U.S., adding zinc, initially treating over 900 cases with a 99.9% success rate.

McCullough told The Defender there are 417 studies with HCQ that “demonstrate a signal of benefit particularly when administered early in the ambulatory phase of illness within an established safety protocol well understood by senior physicians familiar with COVID-19 management.”

A study published October 2023 in New Microbes and New Infections is one of the latest to show the efficacy and safety of in-hospital treatment of COVID-19 infection with low-dose hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. The researchers concluded, “Patients who did not receive HCQ had a 57% higher risk of mortality. A survival benefit in the treatment group was consistent across all age groups.”

HCQ has been a mainstay in the McCullough Protocol for early ambulatory treatment of COVID-19 since its original publication in The American Journal of Medicine in August 2020.

Despite his early success and some support from colleagues, Raoult, now retired, has ultimately become a lightning rod for the kind of character assassination and censorship that was rampant during the pandemic, with French medical bodies last May calling on authorities to punish him for “unauthorized” trials of HCQ to treat COVID-19.

Given that six of the seven authors of the study are from France, McCullough told The Defender he was “suspicious this is a political attack” against Raoult, whom he called a “pioneer and leader in the development of HCQ as a proven therapeutic in the early ambulatory treatment of SARS-Cov-2 infection.”

The study authors admit this plainly enough in the discussion section:

“It is critical that representatives of public authorities should not, on the basis of their personal conviction, promote the prescription of medicines that have not been formally evaluated, thereby falsely raising hopes as to the existence of a solution to a complex health crisis.”

Politico, offering further support to McCullough’s argument, stated, “Hydroxychloroquine gained prominence partly due to French virologist Didier Raoult who had headed the Méditerranée Infection Foundation hospital, but was later removed amid growing controversy.”

The ultimate goal of the paper may have been to restrict the use of off-label medications. The authors stated their conclusion “argues in favour of tightly regulating access to off-label prescriptions during future pandemics.”

HCQ long known as effective against coronaviruses

In a post published Monday, Nass said Dr. Anthony Fauci not only refused to pay for trials to study HCQ, but canceled two National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID)-sponsored trials of HCQ in outpatient settings before they could be completed.

The trials were reportedly canceled due to lack of adequate enrollments. After reviewing the consent document for the trial, Nass concluded that enrollments were “discouraged … by making the drug appear to be very dangerous.”

Nass pointed to “proof he [Fauci] knew the drug would work,” highlighting 2014 study published by NIAID reviewing the “repurposing of existing drugs” in treating Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV).

Both HCQ and CQ were found to kill both SARS-1 and MERS viruses in tissue culture.

Nass in 2022 pointed out a 2005 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study showing CQ to be a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread.

The paper concluded, “Chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-COV infection … suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage.”

“Our governments already knew of options for treating COVID before it appeared,” Nass wrote, “but … did everything they could to stop people from obtaining the chloroquine drugs.” ‘

The number of new disability benefit claimants has doubled in a year
Published by The Institute for Fiscal Studies December 2022

    Executive summary

‘ Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is a disability benefit that aims to support individuals facing higher living costs due to difficulties in mobility or carrying out everyday tasks. In summer 2021, each month 15,000 or so working-age people started a PIP claim. That monthly figure had remained little changed for years. It then steadily increased, such that by July 2022 (the latest data) it had doubled to 30,000. This report investigates the increase.

    Key findings
    1. The increase in claims has been seen across ages and conditions. Essentially all ages
have seen their claim rate roughly double, although for teenagers it has tripled. Claims
for most major conditions also increased by a similar amount.
    2. Around a third of the new claims are for mental or behavioural conditions, although
among claimants under 25 that figure rises to 70%. The share of claims for mental
illnesses, has – like other conditions – changed remarkably little during the rapid rise.
    3. Rising applications to disability benefits has led to a backlog of around 250,000 people
waiting for their claim to be assessed. So far this does not appear to have affected
waiting times, though they remain long at 18 weeks on average.
    4. The success rate (the proportion of applications that are awarded PIP) has stayed
roughly the same since 2016 at around 40%. This is consistent with the assessment
system remaining roughly the same in terms of its “strictness”, and the ill health of
applicants remaining at similar severity, with the spike in new PIP awards simply driven
by more people in ill health and making claims.
    5. Consistent with that interpretation, survey data on the working-age population as a
whole show that health has been getting worse, with 9.6% (4.0 million) now reporting
that their health limits their daily activities “a lot”, up from 8.5% (3.5 million) at the start
of 2021. Here too we see an increase across all major types of condition. There has
also been a significant rise in the number of (non-COVID) working-age deaths from
    late 2021 through 2022, compared to pre-pandemic years ‘

To double the number of disabled of working-age seeking PIP in one year
is an extraordinary result which requires an extraordinary cause.
What was extraordinary about the year in question?
Oh yes: the COVID vaccination program.

    • I was curious myself, after seeing the headline, to read the study, which I did. What one finds without much difficulty (if one actually reads it) is that it is chock full of guesstimates, dubious assumptions, and it freely admits to its serious limitations. And yet it/they feel free to draw ‘scientific’ conclusions from it.

I am open to real science even when it disproves my own views, but I can only conclude that this is yet another conclusion/desired headline in search of data that ‘proves’ a desired outcome. One intended for media consumption in the sure knowledge that only a tiny few will bother to delve into the details.

Furthermore, it is clear that the authors, whatever their reasons, seek to tie the hands of physicians even further by means of regulation. And although, according to the disclosure section, this study (supposedly) received no funding and has no potential conflicts of interest, the net effect is the furtherance of the interests of big pharma.

  17. Here is one of many articles providing comprehensive, verifiable, scientific facts about mask wearing, as well.

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Masks, and the Deadly Falsehoods Surrounding Them
    By James D. Agresti
    September 13, 2021

. . . powerful government officials and big tech executives have corrupted or suppressed the central scientific facts about face masks. The impacts of this extend far beyond the issue of masks and have caused widespread harm and countless deaths.

Despite the fog of contradictory claims and changing government guidelines, dozens of scientific journals have published consistent data that establish these facts:

Covid-19 is mainly spread by microscopic aerosols generated by breathing, talking, sneezing, and coughing. The vast bulk of these infectious aerosols easily penetrate common masks because 90% of the aerosols are less than 1/17th the size of pores in the finest surgical masks, and less than 1/80th the size of pores in the finest cloth masks.

Aerosols are light enough to stay airborne for minutes or hours, and hence, they also travel freely through gaps around the edges of cloth and surgical masks.

Governments enacted mask mandates based on the false assumption that C-19 is mainly transmitted by large droplets generated by coughing, sneezing, and spittle. These droplets are bigger than the pore sizes of most masks and only remain airborne for a few seconds after they are emitted.

For more than a year, the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention denied and downplayed the threat of aerosol transmission while issuing guidelines that don’t amply prevent it. This enabled C-19 to decimate the most vulnerable members of society, like those in hospitals and nursing homes.

The CDC and WHO quietly admitted in the spring of 2021 that aerosols pose a major threat of transmission but have still not adequately updated their guidelines to reflect this reality. This has allowed countless preventable deaths to continue.

The risk of aerosol transmission can be greatly reduced by disinfecting air with ultraviolet (UV) light, which is part of the energy spectrum emitted by the sun. This simple and safe technology neutralizes airborne microbes and has been successfully used to control the spread of contagious respiratory diseases for more than 80 years.

Randomized controlled trials—which are the “gold standard” for clinical research—have repeatedly measured the effects of masks on preventing the spread of contagious respiratory diseases. These trials have found inconsistent benefits from N95 masks in healthcare settings and no statistically significant benefits from any type of mask in community settings.

The only randomized controlled trial that evaluated cloth masks found that mandating them causes significant disease transmission in high-risk healthcare settings.

Observational studies—which are a weaker form of evidence than randomized controlled trials—find that masking schoolchildren provides negligible or no benefits.

Lab studies—which are the weakest form of clinical evidence—don’t support the notion that surgical or cloth masks reduce the transmission of Covid-19.

Masks of all types have negative impacts on some people, including headaches, difficulty breathing, increased cardio-pulmonary stress during exercise, marked discomfort, and weakened social bonds.

Because humans create carbon dioxide as they breathe, the CO2 concentration of the air they exhale is about 100 times higher than in fresh air. Masks restrict airflow and thus cause the wearers to rebreathe some of the air they exhale.

The average CO2 concentrations inhaled by people wearing N95 masks range from 2.6 to 7.0 times OSHA’s work shift limit for CO2. These levels cause headaches and chest pains in some people.

The average CO2 concentrations inhaled by people wearing cloth and surgical masks range from 2 to 3 times the government CO2 limits for classrooms in many countries. These levels may impair certain high-level brain functions like initiative, strategic thinking, and complex decision-making.

The leaders of big tech corporations like Facebook, Twitter, and Google/YouTube have empowered government officials who misled the public about every matter above and others. Together, they continue to do so by engaging in actions that resemble common disinformation tactics. These include but are not limited to cherry-picking, censorship, muddying the waters, citation bluffs, non-sequiturs, half-truths, and outright falsehoods.

    Opinions Are Not Science
A very common and naive talking point about masks is that “experts say” they reduce the spread of Covid-19. Such statements are oblivious to the reality that other experts disagree with that opinion, like these for example:
    One example:
Dr. Joseph Allen, an associate professor and the director of the Healthy Buildings program at Harvard University, wrote, “The truth is, for kids, Covid-19 is like the flu, and we don’t make kids wear masks in school for that.”

Another article published August 11, 2021 in City Journal:
    Do Masks Work”
    A Review of the Evidence
    by Jeffrey H. Anderson

Clearly, based upon reliable, verifiable data, masks have nothing to do with health and everything to do with social and political control.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

  19. Techno-Hell: ‘Natural’ Breastfeeding Condemned as ‘Ethically Problematic’
By Ben Bartee | Armageddon Prose | January 15, 2024

‘ One would be hard-pressed to imagine a human activity more natural than a mother breastfeeding her infant, aside from, perhaps, eating, sleeping, and sex.

The pharmaceutical front group American Academy of Pediatrics, which touts the virtues of transing children just as soon as it can wrangle their doomed genitals into its vice grip, disagrees.

    Via American Academy of Pediatrics:

“Medical and public health organizations recommend that mothers exclusively breastfeed for at least 6 months. This recommendation is based on evidence of health benefits for mothers and babies, as well as developmental benefits for babies. A spate of recent work challenges the extent of these benefits, and ethical criticism of breastfeeding promotion as stigmatizing is also growing. Building on this critical work, we are concerned about breastfeeding promotion that praises breastfeeding as the “natural” way to feed infants. This messaging plays into a powerful perspective that ‘natural’ approaches to health are better, a view examined in a recent report by the Nuffield Council on Bioethics. Promoting breastfeeding as ‘natural’ may be ethically problematic, and, even more troublingly, it may bolster this belief that ‘natural’ approaches are presumptively healthier. This may ultimately challenge public health’s aims in other contexts, particularly childhood vaccination.”

Note the passive-aggressive placement of the term “natural” in quotation marks, so as to emphasize that breastfeeding being natural is a dubious or disputable claim — as if every female mammal on Earth for millions of years hasn’t breastfed its young, as if that’s not, in fact, one of the defining features of mammalism.

Once you’ve downloaded the technocratic paradigm blueprint from which this kind of tripe emerges, the aims of this propaganda come into clearer focuses. (Spoiler alert: it’s not about “gender equity” or whatever nonsense.)

As far as I can tell, there are two main biomedical and social control advantages to phasing out breastfeeding as a barbaric, filthy relic of the past, in the tradition of Brave New World:

Mothers pass their adaptive immune systems to their babies through breastmilk. One might call this “nature’s pharmacy.” All of the antibodies that the mother has accumulated through her life on Earth are gifted to her baby, to the obvious benefit of the child’s needy and developing immune system.
Breastfeeding enhances the mother-child bond, the first and arguably most important social bond that serves as the foundation for all others.

Each of these effects of breastfeeding enhances the baby’s physical and psychological health and fosters a functional society. Conversely, neither enhances pharmaceutical profits or the social control of the state.

Which means — as in the case of mothers protesting school boards a year ago or so over transing kids who were subsequently targeted by the DOJ — promoting breastfeeding is a vocation fit only for domestic terrorists. Will breastfeeding mothers one day find themselves on a DHS watchlist for the sin of feeding their babies?

Transhumanist ideology is hellbent on severing every physical and emotional tie that binds people — actual, biological, honest-to-God people — together and weaponizing human physiology for profit and social control.

The social engineers want us isolated, atomized, afraid, sick, and sad. Ultimately, they want us dead. Anti-humanism is at the heart of their ethics.

I expect Theotokos Ikons will soon be deemed ‘ethically problematic’.
