Move Along, Nothing to See Here: Sweden Edition

That poor dear, Donald J Trump, 45th President of the United States. He keeps on misspeaking doesn’t he?

It seems he stepped in it big time last Saturday, when at a rally in Florida, he said “look at what happened last night in Sweden”.

Immediately, people pounced on him. “Why, there was no terrorist attack in Sweden last night, you silly old fool!” “What have you ignorant red-staters done to us? You’ve saddled us with a serial liar who makes up facts as he goes along!”

Except that he didn’t. He never said “terrorist attack in Sweden last night”. Instead he said “look at what happened last night in Sweden”. Get it? He didn’t use the word “terrorist”.

Unfortunately, thanks to the insane immigration policies of the EU, Sweden and the rest of Western Europe has been in a state of constant terror. Anyway, that’s what I’d call mass rapes, car burnings, murders, riots and assorted mayhem. Remind me: pussy grabbing is a bad thing, isn’t it? I imagine those hundreds of women in Cologne would agree. Can we expect all those “nasty” women protesting Trump’s presidency on the Mall last month to express their outrage? Any day now. (Memo to Ashley Judd and Madonna: don’t forget to grab your pussy hats when you go to Sweden. That’s put the fear of Allah into those would-be jihadists.)

What if you’re Jewish and live in Malmo, the third largest city in Sweden, where Jews have lived for generations? Sucks to be you:
http://www.timesofisrael.com/facing-death-chants-and-hate-crimes-swedens-jews-live-in-a-climate-of-fear/ By the way, these aren’t neo-nazis making life miserable for the Jews. (You get three guesses to identify the miscreants in question and the first two don’t count.)

And it gets worse if you’re of the Yiddish persuasion: http://legalinsurrection.com/2017/02/two-important-testimonies-that-trump-was-right-about-sweden/

But why stop with the Jews? Things aren’t much better if you’re of the Nordic persuasion: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4260908/Swedish-policeman-blames-migrants-violent-crime.html

Liberals, if I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a thousand times: he’s trolling you. Bigly. I view it as my Christian duty to warn you to try and get a grip. I understand that you hate Trump and the people that vote for him with the fire of a million blazing suns. Your sense of entitlement is such that you can’t fathom a world so unjust that your preferred candidate didn’t win the election. Unfortunately, not only is such a sense of entitlement ugly beyond measure, it clouds your judgement.

For you, the election of Donald Trump along with the retention of GOP majorities in both Houses of Congress are crimes against humanity on par with the Holocaust. I get it. I also see that you have to be truly unhinged to think that way.

Be that as it may, we all live in the real world, in real time, on this planet, not in some computer simulation. We have to share it one way or the other. You must find a way to get it through your thick skulls that you may be wrong every now and then. That other people, poor and benighted as they are, may have a different opinion.

It would behoove you to take a deep breath every once in awhile. By all means, take Cromwell’s advice: “By the Bowels of Christ Gentlemen, think ye not that ye may be wrong?” You’re human. You might, just might be a teensy-weensie bit wrong every now and then. Maybe, just maybe, the other side may have a point. I can’t stress this enough.

In this case, Sweden. You don’t have to be a right-winger to see that Sweden is now well on its way to becoming a Third-world hell-hole. Or that it is the rape capital of Europe. Just go to any on-line daily and you’ll run across stories like the ones I posted above.

Not good enough for you? Then think about it this way: policemen and politicians who refuse to abide by the official narrative are losing their jobs. Some are being threatened with prison. Why is that? Think long and hard on that. Doesn’t this sound like official suppression? Why would this be necessary if the truth were different?

I realize of course that you’re not going to take my advice. That’s OK, it’s a free country and you have freewill. But don’t be surprised when your anti-realist narratives continue to bite the dust. And you continue to lose elections.

P.S. I’ll be posting more news stories about Sweden as they become available.

  1. Again one of my favorite lines from the Bible, and it may apply wherever and to whomever: “What is truth?” Spoken by an ill-fated politician. George careful what you say, you may be labeled a lover of new “Hitler”.

Speaking of the new Hitler label the left has anointed President Trump with. Let me just say I work with many Israelis. Nothing offends them more than throwing out the Hitler label so easily. Their parents, and grand parents knew the true evil of Hitler, and now they know the evil bulls eye on their backs within peaceful Islam. We could learn a lot from the Israelis, in regards to self preservation. Political Correctness will never trump survival, with the Israelis, nor should it with us in America. Those leftist lovers of Islam, would be the first thrown from roof tops, if Islam’s Sharia law was in play.

Finally as a American with Greek born parents, and grandparents I too have heard the stories of Hitler’s henchmen’s horrors in Greece. Needless to say if I personally Hear Hitler references towards President Trump, they will get a earful!

They are queens who will see no sorrow, especially from reaping what they sow. It’s be on their side or else face the onslaught they launch with the sordid refrain. you can’t beat a liar which they act like they belief in whole hardheartedly. The other side lies too, except authentic Christianity. A fine kettle of fish we are in, as the scripture states, every mans hand against his brother doing what he thinks is right in his own eyes. These eyes are always just seeking personal gain, usually at someone Else’s expense.

  3. By Odin’s beard, what foolishness.

It is no secret that President Donald J. Trump likes watching cable TV news. A lot. In great quantity. Yuge. Who could forget hearing the Empire jingle playing in the background on Air Force One during the b-roll of his first flight?

At this point, people pretty much have it down to a science, backtracking many of Trump’s tweets, to be able to tell exactly what he had just been watching on TV.

Of course, this isn’t limited to his tweets, but his speeches as well. As was evidenced by the 2020 campaign event (less than a month into his term), and the now notorious “last night in Sweden”, which was clearly a response to a Fox piece on immigration which he wasn’t even paying full attention to and misinterpreted.

Now, of course, the embarrassing fact is that, in his speeches, rather than pull from the vast wealth of government departments and resources at his beck and call to brief him on the subjects of his choosing, he just wings it and creates anecdotes from stuff he saw on TV and inaccurately retells.

That simple reality is far too much to bear for George Michalopulos and the image of his beloved Glorious Leader. Because it makes Glorious Leader kind of a bumbling oaf rather than some kind of twelve-dimensional chess player. So he tries to obfuscate this very straightforward truth by constructing a ‘but he didn’t say terrorism’ argument which is rather undercut by Trump in that speech immediately invoking Brussels, Nice and Paris, all of which were sites of, yes, terrorist attacks.

“You look at what’s happening in Nagasaki, in Hiroshima, at the Trinity site in New Mexico”

George Michalopulos: Prog-libs might try to tell you that was talking about nuclear explosions, but was the word nuclear used? No!

This is an argument worthy of a childhood avid paint chip consumer.

    George Michalopulos wrote
You’re human. You might, just might be a teensy-weensie bit wrong every now and then. Maybe, just maybe, the other side may have a point. I can’t stress this enough.

Says the guy who reposts lurid alleged crimes that fizzle to nothing, makes scores of incorrect factual assertions, thinks Infowars is a credible source, couldn’t grade or qualify informational credibility to save his life, and who has expressed lack of care for whether anything he posts is true or accurate because it’s just a blog and he’s not getting paid for it.

You make continual assertions about Sweden that fall apart under scrutiny once they exit the xenophobic ethno-nationalist right-wing echo chamber. To Mr. Michalopulos, the truth about something in Sweden isn’t based on whether or not it actually happened or the actual situation in Sweden, but if enough of Mr. Michalopulos favored sites allege that it did, or that a situation is so. Facts, context, nuance, all irrelevant, only sheer noise and righteous indignation are required.

Yeah, there’s a point to argue with that. Not.

  6. Joseph Lipper says

George, as Orthodox Christians, I feel we should be very disturbed by Donald Trump’s overt Zionism. He appears to be the most pro-Zionist president ever. He believes the Palestinian state shouldn’t exist. He completely backs the Jewish state of Israel to do whatever it wants, and that will mean the destruction of the Palestinians, of which Christians included.

As Orthodox Christians, we believe that Christ’s Church is now the real nation of Israel. Christ said “I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.” Christ’s body is that Living Temple and the true Israel not made with hands. Anything else that claims to be Israel or God’s Temple is, by definition, blasphemous.

As God tells us, the Antichrist will be a Jew. The Antichrist will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem and blasphemously proclaim himself as “God.”

Ironically enough, what’s been preventing the rebuilding of the temple is … Islam … the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. God has allowed Islam to be the defender of the Temple Mount. The Jews want to rebuild the false temple, but Islam right now stands in the way.

Meanwhile in America we have this strange group of political “Christian Zionists” like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, James Dobson, John Hagee, who all want that blasphemous temple rebuilt … so that the Antichrist can come and proclaim himself God? Yes, it will come to pass, but I want nothing to do with it.

    • George Michalopulos says

Joseph, while I believe in the right of the Jewish people to have a homeland, I am not a Zionist. I just wanted to get that out there before I proceed.

The thing to remember about Trump is “the art of the deal”. He asks for the sun, moon and stars and settles for the panhandle (which is what he wanted in the first place).

Keeping that in mind, all Trump is doing re the Middle East is staking out extravagant positions as a negotiating tactic. It is my opinion that neither the Arabs don’t want a two-state solution because they feel that in time a one state “Israel” will be demographically overwhelmed by them anyway. Or the Jews will have to create an apartheid state to keep the Arabs in a state of permanent helotry.

The Jews on the other hand want a two state solution because (1) it divides the Arabs between Gaza and the West Bank and (2) it gives them two places to displace the indigenous Arab minority already extant within Israel.

Some ultra-Zionists of course have no problem with a one state solution because they feel that they’ll always have the upper hand against the Arabs, whether by God’s will or because they are Darwinists who believe in racial hierarchies.

      • Michael Bauman says

George, why a right to a homeland? Isn’t that something that was sacrificed in their rejection of our King?

Not taking that into dark places but I do not understand anyone’s right to a homeland.

Such rights always lead to violence, bloodshed and even genocide. For every right there is an equal and opposite right and someone has to choose and enforce the prevailing right.

If you are for limited government you cannot really stand on rights for long.

That is why I am becoming more and more an advocate of a Christian monarchy. Course, we have to be Christian first.

The other day my boss introduced me to the Republican running to replace Mike Pompeo as Ks 4th District House member. My boss introduced me as a good Republican. I almost threw up but held my peace and my lunch.

Got me to thinking though how I would describe my political affiliation. Christian monarchist seems to fit. Been a monarchist most of my life (tempted at times by various forms of Rebublicanism {not the US political party}) but the Christian part is what really makes it whole.

If one believes and accepts the hierarchical nature of Creation, what other conclusion can one come to?

Of course, being fallen men, the question of which king and what boundaries always resists the Kingship of our Lord Jesus Christ.

No rights. Only gifts. The Hebrew people gave up the gift of the land when they rejected their King.

The modern state of Israel is simply a sop to international guilt at not stopping Hitler earlier and a misdirection away from the inherent anti-Semitism that prevailed in the elites in the west.

        • George Michalopulos says

Mike, I actually am coming to the realization that you are right (re: Christian monarchy).

Having said that, I didn’t mean to imply that the Jews had a specific “right” to Palestine per se and to make it “Israel”. I do believe however that all people (Jews included) do have the right to safe, secure homelands, wherever they may be. And that these countries should be as homogeneous as possible. And preferably as Christian as possible (Jews included).

I’m willing of course to look more deeply into Christian theology regarding the Jewish question and to seriously consider the fact that “Israel” as a nation-state is untenable with what we believe. That is, that the Church is Israel. Perhaps the Zionists who took over Palestine should have named their polity “Judea” instead. I dunno, I’m conflicted.

I will say this, like Solzhenitsyn (whose Two Hundred Years Together I am presently reading), I seen nothing wrong with the Jews of the Diaspora being given a secure homeland somewhere in the world. Solzhenitsyn appears to be in agreement with Zionist thinkers such as Theodore Herzl and Ze’ev Jabotinsky that Jews cannot assimilate into Christian European societies and therefore must remove themselves (or be removed).

King George V suggested Kenya to the Zionists of his day for example. That might have turned out better as far as the Middle East is concerned. I dunno.

      • Joseph Lipper says

George, what about the Palestinians, do they have a right to a homeland?

Because Israel doesn’t recognize Palestinian sovereignty, Israel sees the West Bank and Gaza strip as unclaimed Israeli land that is inhabited by unwelcome squatters. The unwelcome squatters are the Palestinians. This is also the position that the US appears to be taking with the Trump administration. There will be no negotiating. With the blessing of Donald Trump, Israel will be allowed to take over the West Bank and Gaza strip by means of force.

What will they do with the Palestinians, I don’t know, maybe ship them off to Greece?

        • George Michalopulos says

Joseph, please re-read my response. I never said that anybody has a right to displace another settled, agrarian population. I was speaking only in generalities regarding the rights of Jews to have a homeland. Not necessarily one that was already occupied.

Read particularly the last sentence, in which George V suggested Kenya. BTW, I feel the same about the Boers: when they settled South Africa, it was largely uninhabited. The Zulu came later. Ditto the Europeans here in the New World, north of the Rio Grande. The natives ranged over the land: they did not settle anywhere nor cultivate it.

          • Jim of Olym says

George, there is an elderly lady in my parish who was born and raised in Beit Jalla, near Bethlehem. Has been a Christian town for ages. She grew up milking goats for milk and butter there. Many of her family came to the US after the ‘troubles’ started. She goes back twice a year so she can reclaim her family property, according to Israeli laws. Although a naturalized US Citizen (US is an ally of Israel, no?) she has to only travel roads open to non-Israelis (while American Evvy tourists can travel on Israeli only roads).
I will never willingly buy anything made in Israel, my small contribution to the cause of the Palestinians, Christian and Muslim

          • Joseph Lipper says

George, please forgive me I was responding to your earlier post.

Personally, I am not politically against Zionism, because I am not political. I have no interest in toppling governments, either here or abroad.

However, I am disturbed by a tendency that has been particularly illustrated within protestant evangelicals of Christians supporting modern Zionism. Modern Zionism is the ideology of the Antichrist. Rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem, it is satanic. Ritual animal sacrifice for the atonement of sins?! Our ritual animal sacrifice to God as Christians is abstaining from eating meat during Lent and fast days.

The Reverend Jerry Falwell was one of these big promoters of Zionism. He had political clout, being founder of the Moral Majority. He preached against abortion and homosexuality, two vices which his religious and political constituency could easily condemn and rally around because it largely had nothing to do with them personally. Religious outrage of other people’s sins can make you feel better and not seem so bad after all. The thinking goes, “Hey, I might be a glutton, but at least I’m not like those gays or having abortions.” Zionism really had nothing to do with his constituents either, most of them being Bible Belt Americans, but it provided another means for them to condescendingly look down on other people and self congratulate. “Those poor unfortunate Jews, we have to help them get their country back.” Falwell was so successful at promoting Zionism that the government of Israel bought him his own private lear jet as a gift.

When the terrorist attack of 9/11 occurred, Osama Bin Laden was clear that he was not interested in fighting the US. He wanted two things: the US to stop supporting Zionism, and the US to withdraw it’s military from Arab countries. If that really was his goal, then the terrorist attack completely backfired because the US only ratcheted up its support of Zionism and greatly increased it’s military presence in Arab countries, invading Iraq.

What was Jerry Falwell’s immediate reaction to 9/11? Because he was a Zionist, Falwell was put on the spot. He said the terrorist attack was God’s judgement on America for abortion and homosexuality.

            • George Michalopulos says

I totally agree. “Christian Zionism” is a heresy that is worse than a heresy in that it approaches blasphemy.

              • What we need to make sure we do is to stay clear of interfering in God’s plan. In the last days, there will be a treaty between antichrist and the Jews in Jerusalem which will enable them to restore the Temple cult. That treaty will be broken and antichrist will set an image of himself in the Temple. If the restoration of the Jews to the Holy Land is part of that plan, I for one do not want to interfere in it out of arrogant presumption lest the curses mentioned in St. John’s Apocalypse fall on me.

                • Joseph Lipper says

Misha, I totally agree that we should not be involved with the Jewish state of Israel, neither for or against. All I am saying is that modern Zionism is not Christian, and it’s also crazy. I fully believe that if the US had not been so supportive of Israel, then the terrorist attack of 9/11 would not have happened.

                  • Bin Laden did not have Israel on his list of grievances that early, he was concerned about US meddling in Muslim lands.

I have no sympathy for Palestinian Muslims but quite a bit for Palestinian Christians. It is a hard line to draw, no doubt. As to the Jews, in the end, many of them will convert. It will happen when the end time signs begin to become undeniable. Probably even a top down conversion. People in the know up top in various organizations will give a green light. But that day may be many years in the future, who really knows?

The Jews could only get the permission they need to rebuild the Temple and resume sacrifices from a Muslim leader. Otherwise, the Dome of the Rock remains an impediment.

                    • Joseph Lipper says

                      Misha,
Osama Bin Laden was very clear that the 9/11 attack was mostly in response to US support of Zionism. He basically says that the US keeps instigating attacks on the Palestinians through it’s proxies, and no one cares or listens, so that is why we are now fighting back directly at the source.

                      Here’s the letter:

                      https://www.theguardian.com/world/2002/nov/24/theobserver

The Muslim theology he references is pretty twisted, but if you read through it, it’s mostly about the US support of Israel.

Zionism vs Islam. They’re both satanic. Why do Christians take sides with one form of satanism vs another?

                    • No Joseph,

If you read what he claimed in the years leading up to 9/11, through the Cole incident and other things, he was concerned about Western infidel presence (bases, etc.) on Muslim lands. He mostly rationalized the Israel thing afterwards. It’s a great liberal meme but not really true.

                    • Joseph Lipper says

Misha, what is the nation state of Israel, if not the poster child of the US meddling in Muslim occupied lands?

Here’s a question, why didn’t the UN just give the Jews land in, let’s just say Kenya, and then all the Christian Zionists they could have put in a partitioned section of Palestine? Then all those crazy Christian Zionists like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, James Dobson, John Hagee, etc. could then proceed with their religious televangelist jihad against the Palestinians themselves.

Why didn’t the UN create a Christian section of Palestine?

                    • There was some scheme that Herzl had regarding Uganda, as I recall, but it didn’t fly.

The question is “Who has a right to the land?”.

The only righteous and just unequivocal conveyance of possession of the land designated in the Old Testament, The Land of Israel, is from God to the Hebrews. We can all agree on that. When God gives you something, you have a right to it. Now, others have taken the land by force from time to time, but one must ask by what right? Was it God that inspired them to do so, or the evil one?

In the case of the Muslims, assuming that we wish to maintain our Christian faith and reject Muhammad as a false prophet who denied the divinity of Christ and whose followers have made war on the Church ever since, we must reject any “right” they claim to anything, including the time of day, based on their status as members of a billion strong satanic cult.

                      So there it is.

“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” – Revelation 3:9

If the Lord called a body of Jews who rejected His Divinity “the synagogue of Satan”, what do we call a religion explicitly founded on a denial of the Incarnation?

                    • Joseph Lipper says

                      Misha,
the only Divine Right that ANYBODY has is to follow God. The only right the Jews had to the land was when they were following God’s law.

That law which was given to the Jews was the promise of the coming of Christ, and now that Christ has come, the promise of Israel is given to Christ’s Church. Everywhere that Christ’s Church is manifest, in there is Israel manifested also.

For those Jews who seek to follow God’s law, it may very well be that God has and will bless them with the land of Palestine. Scripture attests to this. But that is God’s business, not the business of the Church. The Church attests that Christ has already come, and Israel is only truly manifested in Palestine by the presence of Orthodox Christians there.

According to the original UN declaration, the nation-state of Israel had a right to specific parts of Palestine. Everything else they have taken since has been “might makes right”:

                      http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/mapstellstory.html

The nation-state of Israel controls America. Forget about Muslim jihad. America is already under Israeli subjection. We are One Nation Under Goldman Sachs. Donald Trump plays right into it.

                    • George Michalopulos says

Joseph, I agree with you. The promises made by God are to Israel and the fulfillment of Israel is the Church.

That being said, I have no problem with Jews (whatever their origin and/or fidelity to the Gospel or lack thereof) having a homeland. The tragedy is that they displaced an indigenous Arab population (much of which is authentically Jewish in origin) in Palestine.

                  • Joseph Lipper states: “The nation state of Israel controls America. Forget about Muslim Jihad.”

Your spots are starting to show, Mr. Lipper. Fake sympathy for The Palestinians, does not distract, at least to me, your hate of Jews. The spoils of war, are what make the world and it’s borders. What is fair, is not of this world. Careful that your hate does not destroy you!

                    • Joseph Lipper says

Dino, there are lots of Jews who are highly critical of Zionism. I have great respect for any Jew who is against Zionism.

I have a general disregard for any Zionist whether they be Jewish, Christian, or Muslim.

                    • Joseph

Please tell me how Israel not only controls America but how we are also under their subjection?

                    • Joseph Lipper says

Dino, the nation-state of Israel keeps flagrantly violating international law, and the U.S. just keeps looking the other way. It was just last winter, for the first time, the U.S. didn’t veto one of the many UN resolutions condemning it, and Prime Minister Netanyahu went ballistic on President Obama:

                      http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/12/netanyahu-attacks-obama-over-u-n-resolution.html

The US provides billions of dollars of tax-payer money in assistance to the nation-state of Israel every year. Most of this money, in recent times, has been in the form of military assistance. We just heard about Donald Trump asking Germany for more money for U.S. military assistance, but you don’t hear him complaining about the money being sent to Israel. Why is that?

                      Netanyahu has been videotaped saying:

America is something that you can easily maneuver and move in the right direction. And even if they do say something, so then they say something… so what? 80% of Americans support us! It’s absurd! We have such support there, and here we’re thinking ‘what should we do if?’…
Look, I wasn’t afraid to maneuver [the Clinton Administration]. I wasn’t afraid to confront Clinton. I wasn’t afraid to go against the U.N. What happened with the Oslo Accords? The Accords, which were ratified by Parliament. I was asked before the [1996] elections: “Will you fulfil them?” I said: “Yes, subject to reciprocity, and minimizing pull-outs.” But how can one minimize the [obliged] pull-outs? I gave my own interpretation to the agreements, in such a way that will allow me to stop the race back to the 1967 borders.

Dino, Joseph, et al: I myself was mortified when I learned about the case of the USS Liberty and how LBJ personally intervened in real time to order the captain of that ship to not fire on the Israeli jets as they were strafing it. Ghastly business. I plan on writing about it in due time.

                    • Joseph,

You still have not told me how and why America is controlled, and under Israel subjection.

                    • Joseph Lipper says

Dino, I would like to know the how and why myself. I wish more people were asking those questions, because it is evident that the nation-state of Israel is manipulating the U.S. Both Ariel Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu proudly admit that the U.S. is being manipulated by their country. We’re sending them billions of dollars in tax-payer monies to support their military, and the U.S. mostly allows them to be above international law.

Donald Trump now appears to be supportive of the idea that all of Palestine should be taken over by the nation-state of Israel. No wonder he is instituting travel bans on Muslim countries, because if we let the Israeli government take over all of Palestine, there is going to be a lot of very angry people in the Middle East. Those angry people will also be very angry at the U.S. for supporting it and letting it happen. That was never part of the deal of the original 1947 UN resolution, nor was it part of the subsequent treaties. When does the defense of one’s borders allow the conquest of neighboring territories?

If we continue to make the nation-state of Israel to be above the law, then how can we expect that to bring about peace? How can we also expect that to dissuade terrorist attacks on our country? Why are we doing this?

                    • Joseph

Until you can tell me why and how the Jews or Israel controls America and America is under their subjection perhaps we should end this conversation.

    • Peter Millman says

      Joseph,
I share your concern about Trump’s overt Zionism. Christian Zionism is a heresy. My sympathy is with the Palestinian Christians- our brothers and sisters. The Zionist occupation of Palestine must end. As the UN rightly stated, “Zionism is racism,” and Israel is a racist, thieving, occupying, immoral, illegitimate state.

The Jews do not have a right to make their homeland on Palestinian land. They are guilty of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Also, Jerusalem is not the “eternal capital” of the state of Israel. Jerusalem was consecrated by our Lord’s shed blood, and belongs to Orthodox Christians. It’s outrageous that Palestinian Christians don’t have unfettered access to the Church of the Resurrection. Israel must end its belligerent occupation of Jerusalem.

      • Michael Bauman says

There is that dark place. Christian anti-Semitism while not a heresy is deeply sinful. God’s mercy is for all.

BTW, where a your support for claiming heresy. What Council condemned Christian Zionism.

Worldly, to be sure but so is Christian anti-Semitism. Also what is a “Palestinian”? What makes then a people? Really like some sources because to me the only thing that makes them a people is their opposition to the Jews. How are they a race?

It is a vile and stupid rationale for engaging our murderous passions. God forgive me.

Another reason for supporting a Christian monarchy.

        • George Michalopulos says

“Palestinian” is more of a regional modifier than a racial or ethnic one. Kind of like “Balkan” or “Iberian”. It’s an old term deriving from the Latin mishearing of “Philistine” and has been used since their occupation of it since even before the time of Jesus.

For what it’s worth, DNA is making the case that the Palestinians of the Gaza have significant amounts of ancestral Jewish DNA than many of the Ashkenazim who made up the bulk of the Zionist cadres.

          • Peter Millman says

            Hi George,
Michael Bauman slandered me by accusing me of “Christian antisemitism.”His post was completely nonsensical and irrational. It was a cheap shot, and was very cowardly.
Please post my response to his mendacity. Thank you. It’s my opinion- and I think it should be read. Thank you.

        • Peter Millman says

          Michael,
With all due respect…only an imbecile throws out the totally unwarranted charge of “Christian antisemitism.” I take umbrage at the fact that you would even make such a stupid, idiotic, irrational statement. By the way…who ever advocated murder? No council condemned Zionism because no Orthodox Christians were ever Zionists. God forgive you is right.
What the makes the Palestinians a people? Duh! Maybe the fact that they have lived in Palestine since the time of Christ. Have you ever heard of the Greek Orthodox Palestinian Bishop Attalah Hanna? It’s the occupation, stupid!
Also, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, made it crystal clear that there is to be no Jewish state in Palestine when He wept over Jerusalem and in Matthew when He spoke of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70.

        • Yeah, Michael and George have the better of this one. “Palestinian” identity is really a fairly recent concoction. The Levant: what is now Israel, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon; was formerly referred to as ash-Sham. It was all thought of basically as one region. With the demise of the Ottoman Empire, imperial powers came in and divided it up artificially. The British were the last ones to make a major impression. Originally, Jordan was supposed to serve as the homeland of the Arabs in the Holy Land. It was created as a “Hashemite Kingdom” to lend it legitimacy, Hashem being Muhammad’s tribe. It is about 70% “Palestinian” to this day.

During the Israeli War of Independence, about 1 million Jews migrated from Muslim lands into Palestine and about 1 million Muslim Arabs emigrated in anticipation of the Muslim Arab slaughter of the Jews attempting to found a state. When the Jews won the war, the most of the emigres were not allowed back in. Now, of course, I will not deny that part of the emigration was due to Jewish “ethnic cleansing”. There has been some documentation of that. But a large part was due to the fact that the civilian Muslim Arabs simply wanted to get out of the neighborhood where the slaughter was going to take place. That would have been my inclination as well.

So the result is a Jewish State. Now the real reason for the Muslim Arab intractability is that it is offensive to Islam for Muslim territory, once occupied, to be allowed to fall back into the hands of infidels. Thus most all Muslims support the notion of a Muslim jihad against Israel. Of course, that would hold true for Spain as well . . .

Really, with the Muslims, it is zero sum. You have to contain them, convert them, or kill them. Those are your only real choices.

Giving them more land is a bad idea.

          • Like rabid dogs. Contain, convert, or kill.

I don’t think the pope and many in the West really understand what Islam is – and that ignorance may be fatal.

If Christianity is true, Islam is false. This makes no impression on those who see religion the way the Romans did:

“Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.” – Seneca

But if Christianity (Orthodox Christianity) really is objectively true in all its particulars, Islam, it must be conceded, comes from the devil. It came after Christianity and explicitly denies key doctrines of the Christian faith while claiming to re-establish the true worship taught by the prophets but twisted by their followers. And its eschatology sets it up as an end time adversary to Christianity.

Its modus operandi is to expand in all directions by persuasion or violence until all are under Muslim rule. Only temporary treaties are allowable.

That is Islam. It is fundamentally incompatible with Christianity if Christianity is to survive. Only those who have lost faith in Christianity can mistake Islam for something other than what it is, a diabolical ideology. And that is where Francis finds himself.

          • Joseph Lipper says

Misha, what the Zionists are doing, they are progressively taking land AWAY from the Palestinians.

Just like in America, the US offered land to the Native Americans by treaties, and then progressively took that same land away from them. Oklahoma was an egregious example of this, formerly comprised of Native tribal reservations, and then the U.S. changed the land ownership laws from tribal to private, opening up Oklahoma reservation land to be claimed by any US citizen who would rush in to claim it.

We’ve all heard the unfortunate phrase, “the only good Indian is a dead Indian.” The Zionists basically say the same about the Palestinians.

        • Pdn Brian Patrick Mitchell says

There are still many Christians who identify as “Palestinians,” being non-Jewish, Arabic-speaking, present or former inhabitants of Palestine. We wrong them by denying the existence of such an ethnicity.

    • Joseph Lipper Says:”As God tells us the Antichrist will be a Jew.” Hey Joe, Guess what? As a Orthodox Christian your savior was also a Jew. Don’t worry so much about the Jews, it’s all in God’s hand. Guess what? The Palestinians don’t really care about you, unless your handing out money, or weapons, other than that they would prefer you dead. You declare, Israel wants the destruction of the Palestinians, really? Just pulled that one out your…

Here’s a hypothetical. Let’s only remove weapons from the Muslims surrounding Israel, and there will be peace in the middle east, guaranteed, but if we only removed weapons from the Israelis, there will only be dead Jews in the middle east, guaranteed!

Worry about the hate in your heart, and your own salvation. Worry about the next Jihadist just dying to blow you up. Last I checked Jews are not running around with explosive backpacks on their backs.

      • Peter Millman says

        Hi Dino, my Greek brother,

This is sure to ruffle a lot of feathers, but so what? I favor the land of Palestine being returned to the Greeks. After, all, Alexander the Great owned all of Palestine. I am in favor of a restoration of the Greek Monarchy, and I believe that the Greek Orthodox are the rightful owners of all of Palestine. If this happened, we would surely see peace in the Holy Land.

Also, Dino, I want to see Constantinople returned to the Greek nation. The barbaric Turks have no right to our beautiful Hagia Sophia. I have always believed that Hellas will rise again- and may that day be soon. Thank you, my friend and Greek brother.

I’m hoping against hope that someone will write an alternative history, or a future-oriented novel about the return of the Holy Land to the Christian Empire. A lot has been done regarding a future without oil, I want to see one without Islam

          • Michael Bauman says

            Greeks!

          • No objection here. Call it Commonwealth of the Holy Land or some such thing. However, I think the Israelis will veto your proposal.

And I too would very much like to see the Greeks in charge of Agia Sophia celebrating liturgies there once more. I’d even be willing to spring for the C-4 to bring down the minarets . . . once the deal is done, of course.

        • Dear Peter Patrioti Millman,

During lent make sure you take your vitamins especially iron. Lack of iron might cause delusional visions. All your wishes sound great, except for the fact a few mushroom clouds of destruction would be detonated. Mushrooms clouds, or for that matter Magic Mushrooms are never a good idea. Just ask Cy. Yassou Levendi!

        • Joseph Lipper says

Peter, I believe Hellas will rise again also, and Constantinople will be restored to Greece. So many numerous prophecies that indicate this. Most likely things will get much worse before that happens, but God will protect Greece.

      • I sympathize with Palestinian Orthodox Christians, but the Israelis are in for the long haul and their return will likely play in to the events of the last days recorded in St. John’s Apocalypse. I’m not concerned particularly with who has a “right” to the land. God commanded the Hebrews to take it originally. Muslims obtained it by conquest in the 7th century. But Islam came after Christianity and contradicts it; therefore, it must be a device of the evil one. Thus there can be no valid Muslim claim to the Holy Land – period. Theoretically it might be better if Palestinian Orthodox Christians ruled Israel, I suppose, but God works in mysterious ways and seems to want the Jews there for a reason.

        • Less than two percent of Palestinians are Christian. It would be impossible for only Christian Palestinians to rule Israel, in any crazy hypothetical.

Never understood why so many believe Israel/Palestine would be better off run by Muslims instead of Jews. As Christians we are much more similar and safer with the Jews than Muslims. Jews will also keep the area more secure than the unstable Muslims.

As a Greek Orthodox Christian there’s two type of people I will never trust, Communist and Muslims. My mothers grandmother fled Smyrna with only the key to her house, running over dead bodies and luckily getting on a boat in the port full of floating bodies. My fathers grandparents fled northern Turkey across the Black Sea to Soviet Georgia only to be harassed and later imprisoned by Stalins Communist henchmen. I will always trust a Jew over a Muslim. Israel is as good as it’s going to get, and will always remain a Jewish State.

      • We are told that the antichrist will be a descendant of the Hebrew tribe of Dan, not that he will be a Jew. Odds are much more likely that he would be a Muslim given the predominance of Islam in the Promised Land for so long. Many Levant Arab Muslims are descendants of Jews.

        • Joseph Lipper says

Misha, do you really believe that the Jews would even consider a Muslim as kosher enough to be their Messiah?

          They rejected Christ, didn’t they?

      • Joseph Lipper says

Dino, the Zionists have no use for suicide vests. They have far superior and advanced weaponry, even nuclear bombs. The death toll of Palestinians is always much higher in any battle. In the 2008-2009 Gaza war, there were 1,166 Palestinian casualties vs. 13 dead Israelis.

Suicide vests are the weapons of a desperate and hunted people.

        • Mr Lipper,

If RPGs exploded near my home should I wait until someone in my home was killed, or immediately kill the murders indiscriminately shooting rockets my direction.

The mantra for Muslims is to remove/kill Jews from that tiny little speck of land surrounded by 99 percent of rest of the Muslim controlled Middle East.

When Israelis are bombarded they react, and make sure the Muslims think twice if the attack is worth waging. The Jews will remain in Israel not matter what you fantasize or wish for.
By the way the oh so tolerant Muslims are now on their way to converting Aghia Sophia back to a operating Mosque again.

          • Joseph Lipper says

Dino, yes you make a good point … but who in their right mind would knowingly move into a neighborhood surrounded by hostile people who want to kill them?

            • Israelis, and our EP do. Now in Europe they are bringing the hostile neighborhoods into their own borders. Again liberalism=suicide.

              • Joseph Lipper says

Dino, yes, the Palestinian Christians are just like the EP, their ancestry predates Muslim conquest. The Zionists came later though, after a UN resolution that gave them a portion of land in Palestine.

The Zionists have since progressively sought to take over the rest of Palestine by force, considering all of it to be theirs. That wasn’t the original deal. Why doesn’t the US, at very least, recognize the terms of the original UN resolution and withdraw it’s support of Israeli expansion?

      1. It stops cold all further wiretapping,

      2. It’s caused the Dems and their Intel operatives to walk back all the Russia collusion stuff.

Brilliant. I’m sure there are more benefits. Right now I think that if the Congress convenes a Special Committee to investigate, it’ll further paralyze his enemies. Plus the crap that they’re going to find out will tarnish their reputations as well. If it goes to Dept of Justice, it can bankrupt several of them as well.

Biggest prize of all: all eyes will be on Obama from here on in.

      • He’ll own it all before its all said and done. That in and of itself is a little scary but – heh – that’s where faith comes in.

I had a friend once who went into one of the clubs downtown in the afternoon. He sat at a table in the back near a bar which was unattended. He waited and waited and finally decided to just go back behind the bar and make himself a drink.

        So he did.

Then management personnel started to showing up asking him what he was doing and trying to make him feel uncomfortable. He never had any intention of not paying.

At one point he stopped them all cold by saying, “Whoa, now hold on a minute, you keep on and I’m gonna own this place.”

Perhaps that’s where we are in our national adventure.

You may find this interesting: Exposing the Obama Deep State – Obama’s third term has begun. Our Republic is in danger.

“Obama no longer legally holds power. His Deep State network is attempting to overturn the results of a presidential election using government employees whose allegiance is to a shadow White House. Tactics that were illegal when he was in office are no longer just unconstitutional, they are treasonous.

Obama Inc. has become a state within a state. It is a compartmentalized network of organizations, inside and outside the government, that claim that they are doing nothing illegal as individual groups because they are technically following the rules within each compartment, but the sheer scope of the illegality lies in the covert coordination between these “revolutionary cells” infecting our country.

It is a criminal conspiracy of unprecedented scope. Above all else, it is the most direct attack yet on a country in which governments are elected by the people, not by powerful forces within the government.”

Brennan definitely needs to burn for this, if he can be netted. Best to probably make a deal with the rest of IC to let him be the example. And also go after Obama, Lynch, etc. – whomever they can get to without making enemies of others who are inclined to surrender.

That would calm things down. If Brennan goes down, even the press would have to resign themselves to the fact that there’s a new sheriff and new order in town. If you can sink the director of the CIA, what can’t you do?

Nate, we must live in parallel universes.

In this one (where Mr Spock doesn’t wear a goatee), Sweden is definitely becoming an increasingly ugly place:

    • Nate Trost says

Here’s a tell for you: when the Breitbart story you posted can’t actually link an increase in shootings to immigrants or refugees, even indirectly, that is a pretty direct indicator that there is no connection. Of course, Brietbart still wants you to think there is, and as we have continually demonstrated, you have the intellectual rigor of a turnip, so lo and behold, you do!

2008, the number of fatal shootings was 14. The figure rose to 22 in 2013 and 31 in 2015

Now, to be fair, this statistic is correct and is causing some consternation in Sweden, as it enters into a larger debate of police dysfunction in dealing with criminal gangs which are shooting each other. However, it is also inescapable that the result of that doubling amounted to a total of 31 for a year in a whole country of 9.5 million people.

When you see those figures, the first question you should be asking yourself is: “How much of a murderous lawless hellscape does the state I actually live in look like compared to this?”

      The answer may surprise you!

  12. Friends,

Also, there are a few other things I’d like to get off my chest. IMHO, all humans may be pardoned or acquitted at the Last Judgment, even Muslims. I do not say that is doctrine, just my opinion and that of some of the saints and bishops of the Church. I hold out hope for all humanity.

As to essence and energies, while I believe I am right in the way that I have explained the distinction and about the presence of the Divine Essence in the Eucharist, I could be wrong about that too. It makes sense to me, but I have never read those precise words anywhere. St. Gregory Palamas got closer to God than any of us ever will and I do not find it incompatible with his teachings or those of St. Dionysius the Areopagite. In fact, that is the way they make sense to me and I cannot come up with another rational explanation. That is why I offered it.
