How to Destroy a Republic

Easy answer: harvest votes in key strategic areas. All other methods have already been tried. You know, dumb down the government schools, open the borders, outsource good jobs that paid decent wages to China. Things like that.

All that’s too subtle though. Sometimes you have to bring the hammer down. Sometimes, the people –and their champion–need to be put in their place. Sometimes, it can’t be avoided.

This is one of those times.

Every now and then, you have to do it openly, brazenly and without compunction. Don’t listen to the voices of millions of angry people. Don’t even worry about coming up with a good excuse. Just smile and mutter a shibboleth or an inapt bromide. If you’re a Deep-stater, you can stop pretending. Everybody knows that the system is rigged and that the fix is in.

It’s all a charade and the people will get over it as long as The Kardashians is on TV and the free stuff keeps coming. The Romans knew what they were doing with the whole Bread and Circuses thing.

So what should Trump do? After all, he’s still president.

How about trying these on for size?

1. Fire Chris Wray as FBI director. Immediately. Put in Rudy Giuliani. He broke the Five Families in New York, he can take down the Biden and Clinton crime families.

2. Fire Gina Haspell as CIA director. Immediately. Replace her with Ric Grenell. Start releasing documents. Burn all the intel sources that started the Russia Collusion Hoax. Let the chips fall where they may.

3. Take away the security clearances of all the major Deep State players. You did it with John Brennan now go after James Clapper, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and even Joe Biden. (As for Biden, see #4 below: he’s a security risk.)

4. Direct AG Barr to go after the Biden laptop scandal hard. Better yet, start releasing the info/photos on them daily. Let the people know that Biden is the Manchurian Candidate and the Chicoms have him by the short and curlies.

5. Hold rallies. Especially close to the capitals of those states which have Democrat governors. Lansing, MI would be ideal; so would Harrisburg, PA and Raleigh, NC. Just a couple a week. Play “Hail to the Chief” for each and every appearance.

6. Start the pardon process. Pardon Paul Manafort and Roger Stone. Amnesty Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. Find others to pardon. Better yet, blanket pardons for everyone who’s worked for you.

7. Get on TV and address the nation. Trump did that last night in a masterful way; now keep on hammering the point that the system is rigged. It is. Don’t try to convince the cucks on FOX that it is. They know it. Even our enemies believe it. So just keep on hammering away at the point.

8. Tell Cocaine Mitch to go all “Hercules Unleashed” on Big Tech. Tell him not to waste our time hauling Zuckerberg, Dorsey, et. al., before some Senate committee meeting. Break them up. Now. (Believe it or not, the Dems in the House will probably go along with it if you tell them that the Tech Titans will cough up major bucks in order to forestall that eventuality.)

9. Tell the Republicans in the Senate that they can also act without impunity when it comes to preserving liberty. I can assure you that if Lindsey Graham has been bitch-slapped by reality then they all have as well. Make sure there’s no daylight between you and them. Remind them that the Globalists spent hundreds of millions of dollars to try and take them out and they’re still standing. Tell them that electorally, they’re bullet-proof. Because they are.

10. Let the Establishment know that you’ve got their number. All of the above are examples of their moral bankruptcy, surely you’ve got other aces up your sleeve.

Don’t. Give. In. It’s ain’t over. Not by a long shot.:

P.S. Still don’t believe me? Take a gander at this graph (it’s what happened to the Chinese Yuan at 7:50pm last night):

Comments

  1. I knew the fraud was coming…and yet I am still sick to my stomach.

  2. Trump better fight like hell. They had 140K ballots come in in Michigan over night and 100% of them went to BIDEN! Not even 1 went to Trump. He better take this to the supreme court. In the mean time, I have my top 5 pick of countries to immigrate to if things really hit the fan. If the Democrats get into power and accomplish even half of what they said they will do its the permanent end of America

    • Amen Petros.

      • Fr Patrick B. O’Grady says

Could someone furnish proof for the claim that 140K ballots came in all for Biden in MI? I cannot locate that claim…

    • Hello Petros,
What are some of the countries you are looking at? I’m thinking of leaving for a country with a low cost of living that it is easy to obtain citizenship of. Thank you.

      Anthony

      • Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Georgia & Russia would be my top picks. I have been to Poland & Hungary and really loved it, for the most part they are still very traditional. Serbia, Georgia & Russia I have heard great things about but have never been. I have been to Romania, but, not sure I would live there. My other option would be Fiji, where I have also been, decent Orthodox presence in the country and isolated

    • Fr. Deacon John says

We’ll go for Greece.  My diakonissa is fluent and I am decent in Greek and we both have family there.  I am sure we can find an island where we can live out our lives in peace. We will terribly miss our grandchildren though.

      • Fr Deacon John,

It’s wonderful that you have an exit strategy. Though I pray that you have and express compassion for those of us who are fully Orthodox Christian Americans and who are not going anywhere and who never plan to leave our children or grandchildren in the event that any unstoppable, chaotic messes erupt in America.

Not a big fan of the narcissistic “we will be fine, but sucks to be the rest of you” post, particularly by a member of the clergy.

        • Fr. Deacon John says

FTS – I was joking in my post and have no intention of leaving our country. Also, I did not infer in any way your interpretation of my gloating. I certainly was not and I take offense to your implication that I was. Lastly, I post on this site about two times per year and this is the second time in a row where I was criticized and attacked for it. So you won’t have to worry about me posting anything here again. I will pray that you learn some humility so you can withhold judgement of others and keep your unkindness to yourself. God be with you.

          • Fr Deacon,

Emotional tension is quite high here these days – our media has done a great job of throwing gallons of gasoline on the fires of American life – though I don’t think it is remotely fair to blame the interpreter for not being able to interpret that “you were joking.” As an aside, now that you have clarified, I firmly believe that you were.

Like it or not, clergy are held to a high standard and are looked up to 24/7 for leadership/guidance/faith/hope/love. Clergy do make themselves extremely vulnerable to misinterpretations like this when they make a joke or comment which could easily be interpreted as reality.

Humility is beneficial for all of us, no argument here. However it is somewhat narcissistic to turn things 180 deg around and become the “victim,” projecting “blame” back on the person who was hurt. This 180 deg shift is actually classic in the narcissistic cycle of abuse…. not saying that you are a narcissist, but simply pointing out that in the narcissistic cycle of abuse, the narcissist *always* shifts the situation 180 deg around to make themselves the victim. Think Hillary Clinton – she’s (sadly) a fantastic example of someone whose public behavior literally documents the narcissistic cycle of abuse.

I am in full agreement with Dostoevsky that we are all responsible for each other’s salvation. I sincerely ask your forgiveness for anything that I wrote/said/implied/etc. here that may have hurt you, either intentionally or unintentionally. I have no desire or intention to dig heels in and “stand ground in righteous indignation” – that’s not me, and I don’t care for people who do that. I am fully aware that we often hurt others when we don’t intend do, and for such things we must also ask forgiveness.

As others have said, the Monomakhos forums are not for the faint of heart.

Many prayers for you, your Diakonissa, and for your parish, wherever you serve.

  3. Gail Sheppard says

I would have named this post: “WERE JUST GETTING STARTED.”  My concern is less about last night and more about what’s coming up:

A key date in making this year’s election outcome final: Dec. 14

The electors will meet in their respective states on Dec. 14 – officially, the Monday after the second Wednesday in December – and formally cast their votes for president and vice president. . .

. . . the electors’ votes are supposed to be delivered to the vice president (in his capacity as president of the Senate) and a handful of other officials by Dec. 23 (the fourth Wednesday in December).

Wait – Congress has a role in this too?

Indeed it does. The newly elected 117th Congress will be sworn in on Jan. 3, 2021. Three days later, it is supposed to assemble in joint session to formally open the electors’ ballots, count them and declare a winner. Only then is the president officially “elected.”

Any pair of one senator and one representative can object to any of those votes as “not having been regularly given” (that is, not cast according to law). Following the 2004 election, for instance, Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, D-Ohio, and Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., filed an objection against Ohio’s 20 electoral votes, alleging “numerous, serious election irregularities” in that state. But to sustain such an objection, both chambers must vote (separately) to do so. In the Ohio case, they both overwhelmingly rejected the challenge.

Each state is supposed to submit one set of electoral votes to Congress, and that’s what usually happens. Following the disputed Hayes-Tilden election of 1876, in which three states submitted two conflicting sets of returns, Congress passed the Electoral Count Act to try to set rules in case such a thing ever happened again. Under that law, if two conflicting sets are submitted – say, one by a Republican-run legislature and one by a Democratic governor – and the House and Senate cannot agree on which set is the legitimate one, then the electoral votes certified by the state’s governor are supposed to prevail. (Even stranger things are possible: In 1960, Hawaii’s governor first certified Vice President Richard Nixon’s electors, but after a recount certified Sen. John F. Kennedy’s electors. Both slates of electors met and voted for their pledged candidate; when the time came for Congress to decide which slate was the legitimate one, Nixon voluntarily deferred to Kennedy.)

Assuming that the usually ceremonial counting goes smoothly this year, Vice President Mike Pence will then announce whether he and President Trump have their jobs for another four years, or whether Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will take their places.

Note: This post was updated on Oct. 28 to reflect new information about deadlines in some states.

  4. Well, if it was going to be a mess, this is about the best sort we could hope for. God is with us. Never forget that.

Over 100,000 ballots, every last mf for Biden, turned up in Michigan. God knows what else went on but fakes seem to have been appearing, invalid ones “cured” and all sorts of other bs.

Just a mess, like Trump predicted.

We may never know the true popular or electoral totals given what has already transpired. At this point, it is a sheer struggle for power. Also, God knows what effect the faux polls had on the credulous in terms of red voter suppression.

George is right about all of it, up and down the line. Now is when you want pit bulls like Trump and Giuliani on your side. Cause the stakes are huge, freedom or enslavement to the blue Borg, and the enemy – yes, enemy – is vicious and ruthless.

So now is the time to fight fire with napalm. These Democrats are not your friends, no matter what you tell yourself, and unless there is some tactical advantage, there is no longer any reason to be civil.

Premeditated widespread election fraud with the intent to lockdown society, confiscate guns and ensure permanent political control – that is open totalitarianism and should be defeated by any means necessary.

Many of our neighbors are our mortal enemies. It is high time we come to terms with that fact.

Legal combat is the last stage before the mortal variety.

  5. Jane Tzilvelis says

He will come like a thief in the night.  Are we ready? Is our lantern filled with oil?  Do we allow Our Orthodox leaders to continue to align with the malignant Church of Rome?  Who are the people lying right to our face?
We must commit to carrying forth the Lord’s truth.  Our hearts, minds, and will must be engaged in Christ alone.  We must allow God to open our understanding and let Him teach each of us.
We must humble ourselves.  Each of us is working in the beastly antichrist SYSTEM that is growing in strength.  Without our resistance, Lucifer rolls over the world and gains power everyday.
America is fighting for her life.

  6. Democrat governors, mayors, city councils, AGs/DAs, etc, that were willingly to incite or otherwise be complicit with arson, looting, and murder in the streets (while unlawfully persecuting those who defended themselves), weren’t going to blink at voter fraud.  Trump should’ve declared the Democrats to be in a state of active treason just for the Covid lockdowns, much less the civil insurrection, but easier said than done, since the forces that Trump appeared to have actual command of were nothing but hundreds/thousands of guards pulled from DOJ federal prisons through the AG Barr (for instance, the Pentagon defied orders which nearly allowed the WH and the President to be captured).

    • George Michalopulos says

I don’t disagree, but I read a very good analysis of military action in hostile environments from Kurt Schlichter (Col USA, Retired). Had Trump sent in the 82nd Airborne or a Marine contingent into (say) Seattle, the patriots would have won but there would have been a hundred Kent-State type scenarios all over the map.

The cynical, Macchiavellian thing would have been to let the cities burn. Which they did.

  7. Pat Reardon says

Frankly, George, I like all these suggestions.
When he fires the folks at FBI and CIA, he should also make Fauci our ambassador to whatever jungle-infested place comes to mind.

    • George Michalopulos says

Thank you Fr. I’m thinking Burkina Faso or some other God-forsaken hell-hole.

    • Archpriest Alexander F. C. Webster says

Father Patrick, let’s not stop there. Mark Esper, the Secretary of Defense, needs to go ASAP. Too bad the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, U.S. Army, began his dreadful 2-year appointment on 1 October 2019 and still has another year to go. Otherwise President Trump should fire him, too.

In short, President Trump, if he does lose re-election during the post-Election day legal wrangling, ought to drain the swamp relentlessly during his remaining 10 weeks in office. That would be a national service and an excellent way of leaving office and returning to private life.

      • George Michalopulos says

        Don’t disagree at all, Fr!
BTW, not one Republican Congressman was ousted from office:

        • George Michalopulos says

The supposed “Blue Wave” didn’t transpire.  That’s what explains all the Democrat howling.  I wasn’t aware of the depths of their despair until last night.
I (and millions of others) was nursing my wounds from being taken in by FAUX news.  They played us like a fiddle.

      • Dear Fathers Pat and Alexander:

        Fathers, bless.

If I have missed some posts or public notices you each have published before the election on using Orthodox values to vote, etc., as some Roman Catholic bishops and cardinals have, I would be most grateful for links to them.

Your comments today post-election seem to be based on personal evaluations of the jobs done but I am not sure what the basis is so am puzzled by this open judgment of some (certainly agree about Fauci just for his acts as a physician as well as administrator.). Would be eager to read anything you shared with parishioners or laity before the election and to learn if you did not do so out of obedience to a bishop or your SF, etc.  That is, if you are allowed to share.   Looking forward to reading any links you send.

        Thank you in Christ,
        Nicole

        • Pat Reardon says

Nicole, dear, Father Alexander and I are both ‘retired,’ and I no longer have parishioners.

This past Sunday I did speak on this subject at my zoom class, however. You will find these classes recorded at patrickhenryreardon.com
Earlier in the summer or late spring, when I was still pastor, I preached on this theme at All Saints. These sermons are available as podcasts on Ancient Faith Radio.

For the record, and as far as I know, no metropolitan or bishop of mine has given directions on this point.

          • Thank you Fr. Pat, very encouraging that you have and I shall go to the podcasts! Yes for the record, I don’t know of any metropolitans or bishops who have either. So when an individual priest does, I am grateful. Fr Peter Heers did so on youtube and his three Patreon online classes are very sustaining to me as well. Thanks much!

  8. Wise words from Nun Cornelia Rees:
This history is also a reminder that without real unity, specifically Christian unity, a nation cannot come together and overcome its enemies within and without. It is doomed to collapse. No matter how much money it throws into weapons, no matter how many laws it passes to defend this or that minority, if there is no Christian love, people of diverse backgrounds will never come together; they will always be at each other’s throats, and only a temporary, shaky settlements can be achieved at best. Let everyone around us deny this truth, but we as Orthodox Christians know it, and we have to live it. We have to see everyone as a child of God and pray for ways to heal old wounds. This can only be authentically achieved by relentlessly working on our own selves, uprooting our own prejudices and resentments through sincere repentance, and becoming the leaven that—God alone knows—could eventually leaven the whole lump.
    This was taken from http://www.orthochristian.com

    • So true.

I heard this recently on one of Metropolitan Jonah’s Tuesday night classes from St John’s in DC, which I listen to often in the car.   The only true “unity in diversity” comes in Christ.  All other unities are fake and short-lived.   Diverse peoples otherwise don’t live well together.

The Russian empire and eastern Roman Empire understood this – massively diverse societies, unified under Christ.

May God have mercy on our nation. I don’t mind going to a concentration camp or dying for Christ if it ever comes to that or living through a civil war (of course I wouldn’t want any of these things though), but I desperately don’t my children to inherit a total mess of a country here.

  9. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/house/2020_elections_house_map.html
Looking at what’s still outstanding and how volatile the races we’ve seen are and how possibly corrupted by discoverable fraud many races could be, I’m not willing to give up on the House flipping yet.  There are 44 seats in toss up and that’s more than enough to put the Republicans over the top if they win the lion’s share.  I think that’s plausible given what we saw, for example, in Florida and Ohio.

I was perhaps a bit premature in my earlier comment.  It may just be that the MSM and the Dems have done a better job at obscuring the true magnitude of the rout they suffered than I thought.  Also, Wisconsin and Arizona are definitely still in play.  We’ll have to see . . . lawyers, guns and money.

  10. cynthia curran says

Yeah China hurt the south as well but unlike Michigan southern states were able to get foreign car companies to locate in places like South Carolina or Alabama because union were involved. This is one of the criticism of Trump he just blame NAFTA for Michigan’s problem when it was also the auto unions. He did this to get the votes in Michigan.

  12. How to destroy a civilisation – from Fr Andrew’s latest Q/A session;
    see: http://www.events.orthodoxengland.org.uk/

“Q: You have written much about Western crimes like the invasion of England in 1066, the Crusades, including the sack of Constantinople in 1204, the Inquisition, colonialist genocides outside Western Europe, for example in the Americas, Western technology used for evil purposes, concentration camps etc. However, is there one single event which you think stands out from all these crimes?

A: Yes. To my mind the greatest crime surpassing all others is the overthrow in 1917 of the Christian Empire and Monarchy centred in Russia (as also the imperial systems of other uncolonised, that is, still free, countries, namely, the Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan, Ethiopian and Thai). Simply because those countries resisted Western colonialisation, that is, exploitation, they are all presented in the stereotypical Western histories as corrupt, primitive and backward, like the Tsar’s Russia, for instance. Of course, it is the Western histories themselves which were corrupt (their extraordinarily stupid academic authors were all handsomely paid by Western propagandist governments to lie) and so were spiritually primitive and corrupt. All their self-justifying propaganda was simply to destroy Non-Western countries and force them to kow-tow to the Western line.
Firstly, the overthrow of the Tsar by Western spies and Russian traitors committed to anti-spiritual Western bourgeois ideologies (whether Constitutionalism or Marxism) guaranteed a much longer First European or ‘World’ War. Instead of ending with Russian troops liberating Vienna and Berlin in early summer 1917, it dragged on till November 1918, increasing the total death toll by millions.
Secondly, as soon as Imperial Russia had been knocked out of the War, American troops entered it, as had been long planned. They brought with them so-called ‘Spanish’ flu, in fact American flu (most believe that it began specifically in the dirt of Kansas). This killed between 17 million and 50 million in a then world of 1.5 billion.
Thirdly, the Western overthrow of the Tsar brought Lenin (four million dead in four years) and Stalin (perhaps ten million dead in all, nearly one million in the Gulag alone), a Second European or ‘World’ War (Hitler could never have risen to power if Russian troops had been in Vienna and Berlin in 1917), that is, the suicide of Europe, with 30 million dead in the Nazi holocaust of Slavdom alone.
Finally, the consequences of the overthrow of the Christian Empire in 1917 are clearly visible today in the abortion holocaust, with millions of children slaughtered in Europe every year for many decades.
Hundreds of millions of dead for over one hundred years, all because of the betrayal of the Christian Empire and the murder of its Emperor and his pious family! And it has not finished yet.”

    • Yes, the Reversal of the decline of Christendom may be the best focus of our earthly efforts, in addition to prayer and charity.

Christendom has re-arisen in Russia.  It is also beginning to do so in parts of Europe:  Poland, Hungary, etc.

Let it do so in the rest of Europe and here in the States before it is too late.  Whatever the particular mechanism of government, monarchy or republic, a Christian Nationalism needs to crystalize and occupy the seat of power here from now on, unapologetically and firmly, with more love extended to its subject adversaries than they would ever extend to us, but from a position of dominance rather than “equality”.  “Equality” has led us to the brink.

That is the godly and pragmatic attitude.

  14. Trump needs Giuliani as AG, if he’s got the energy to do it.  All these gd people either need to be put up against a wall or into cages – and normally we don’t do the wall thing anymore.  He needs to use RICO to dissolve and effectively abolish the Democratic Party, including the MSM and much of the intelligence services.  Gotta be done sooner rather than later if we’re going to get through this.

America has to de-Nazify or this will go on forever.

  15. From: Papa Demetri
Subject: Forgive me, beloved living ikons of Jesus.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

Never before in my 59 years of voting in State and National elections have I seen such blatant, in-your-face voter fraud, as that which has occurred in the 2020 Presidential election.  When the dust settles, however, if the declared winner is the challenger, it is imperative that we Orthodox Christians accept the results as being permitted by our Lord Jesus.  Please note that I said, permitted, not blessed.

As I have stated in previous letters, three primary things that we should – in truth, must – consider in voting for political candidates are their views and actions on: the sacredness of all human life, from conception to natural death; the preservation of the traditional, God-established family unit; and defending our constitutional freedom of worship. Since the clearly affirmed – and reaffirmed – positions of the challenger in this election, and the political party to which he belongs, are diametrically opposed to those of our Holy Orthodox Faith on all three, then it would be impossible for God to bless their victory.

As a Greek Orthodox priest, it is my sacred duty – both to my Lord Jesus, and to all of you – to make you aware of these facts.  It saddens me that not one canonical Orthodox Hierarch related these truths to their faithful during this political campaign  or any previous one, to my knowledge.

God willing, I shall be traveling to five cities in four States for the next several days   before I end up at my new home in Texas on 11/13.  Therefore, although I shall try to continue sending out Patristic teachings during the next 10 days, there may be days in which I shall not have the opportunity to do so.

I entreat you to continue – and increase, if possible – your heart centered prayers to our Most Beloved Panaghia   for her divine guidance, material love and protection, both for us and our Nation.  And above all: do NOT lose hope!  The sun will still arise each day, no matter who ends up occupying the Oval Office on 2021.  And, through Gods Grace, may these words of St. Paul become incarnate within each one of us: “I have been crucified with Christ; and I no longer live, but Christ liveth in me; and the life that I now live in the flesh I live in faith, in that of the Son of God, Who loved me and gave His life for me.” [Galatians 2:20]

Sending you my poor prayers, and begging yours for me,

    Your unworthy Papa Demetri

  16. An important thing to think about is what to do IF Trump can’t hold on. Because let’s face it, justice may not prevail in this case.

Personally, just like the Tea Party was an attempt to re-make the Republican party when Obama won, I think there needs to be a Trump Republican brand that emerges from this. Perhaps a turn back to paleoconservatism of the Buchanan variety (I know, good luck, but I can dream).

I also think it’s VERY important to support conservative media however possible, and play an active role in growing it. Big Tech is very manipulative, but let’s face it, conservatives are WAY better off than we were pre-internet. Remember the AM radio stations, the xerox and fax chains, etc? Well now we can get professional broadcast TV live streamed. It’s no longer Dan Rather versus guy at the mic at his radio station. That’s a big game changer. Let’s take advantage and push the envelope.

  17. I enjoy reading and listening to Victor Davis Hanson’s take on things. He’s a native central Californian who has a healthy pulse on the insanity of the woke progressives who massively dominate our instituons, politics, culture, and media.

Recently he said that it’s beyond obvious that the mainstream media is proudly partisan – they no longer even bother to pretend to hide it. From pushing the Russia Russia Russia narratives, to ignoring the Biden family scandals, to spewing nonstop about entirely wrong polling, to current election results or non-results or fake results.

They’ve been crafting and are now delivering on the narrative that 1.  Biden won the election, and 2. Trump is trying to steal it.  This will be the operative narrative going forward.  No doubt this has been part of high-level D and elite media election result “war-gaming” for weeks.
No longer is the media even claiming to be neutral. No, not at all. Now, their stance is “yeah we’re partisan. So what? What are you going to do about it?”

The cultural left’s view of the rest of the country is summarized in a satire tweet that really hits home the truth:  about the nearly 70 million American Trump voters and about the millions of American voters who thwarted the D’s hoped-for performances in House and Senate races – “Why won’t these garbage humans who I f——- despise vote for my preferred candidate and policies?”

When the cultural elite believes that, how does a country come back once it reaches this point?  I don’t think it does. That’s what I’m most fearful of.  I fear that partition is inevitable – maybe into coastal America with Chicago, and then the rest of the country. Don’t know. For democracy to work, people must agree to be governed by those who win election. I think much of the elite in our country no longer believes that.

    • Democracy is based on Christian values of virtue, honesty, kindness, and you name it.    When these values are chucked out the window, stomped upon and spit upon, democracy does not stand a chance.  We have seen that the last four years.  Anarchy has reigned.

    • Thank you FTS, agree Victor D. Hansen is wonderfully sane, aware and insightful.
Agree also that “for democracy to work, people must agree to be governed by those who win election.”

In addition, people must be willing to follow the law of the land  for the good of all, not excusing those who claim supposed victims’ right to violence, thus harming innocents and creating actual new victims.   Trump files lawsuits.  Biden’s signature cities Portland and Chicago burn and maim with his elitist Democratic assent.  Clear and radical differences in character.

  18. Let us not forget the 100 million + who died under the horrific regime of Mao Zedong. In the late 1960’s, at the age of 70, Mao decided to unleash his “Cultural Revolution.”  He mobilized all the brain-washed college and university students. They called themselves the “Red Guard.” They roamed the cities and countryside beating and murdering anyone who they considered to be in authority. They banged drums as they rioted and looted and murdered. They demolished religious shrines and statues. They changed street signs to reflect the revolutionary themes. Chairman Mao instructed them to  abolish the four Olds: Old Ideas, Old Culture, Old Habits, and Old Customs. (Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?).

After more than 400,000 people were beaten and murdered, other groups of the youth wanted a piece of the action…they called themselves the “Rebels.” Eventually the various factions of Red Guards and Rebels began to fight each other and struggle for power. Mao Zedong, (probably out of concern for no longer being able to control his new foot soldiers), ordered them to disarm and disband. To help this along, he mobilized in his military henchman. He had soldiers enter the classroom where they would randomly single out students as traitors, and have them beaten and arrested in front of their classmates.

When asked by ABC reporter Robin Roberts whether he felt “pressure to select a black woman as vice president,” Biden responded by saying:“51 percent of the people in this country are women. As that old expression goes, ‘women hold up half the sky.’”

That “old expression” is a well known comment from Mao Zedong to promote women leaving the home amid the Cultural Revolution in China. It was widely used as propaganda.

In July, he said the same phrase during a video fundraiser with former Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.

Obama’s White House Communications director, Anita Dunn, said that Mao was one of her “favorite political philosophers” during an address to a graduating class of high school students in 2009.
She made this statement: “Mao Zedong said, ‘You fight your war and I’ll fight mine.’ Think about that for a second. You don’t have to accept the definition of how to do things, and you don’t have to follow other people’s choices and paths. You fight your own war, you lay out your own path.”
After her comments were reported on the news, Anita Dunn resigned.

She currently serves as the senior advisor to Joe Biden.

    • Anita Dunn: “ you don’t have to follow other people’s choices”
      Not a democrat (lower-case) then?

    • Wow. Thank you Mikhail.

    • Dear Mikhail, I sent out your post to friends as “Mao, Joe and the naive elite” and got great response and horror from those in the dark, so to speak.  Thanks so much.

  20. Whatever happens, at the end of the day we are left with the incontrovertible fact that there are mad dogs loose in the house. We really need to focus on that and figure out some way to address it effectively or we shall have to accept their rule or leave. They no longer are willing to share power and, given their behavior over the last four years, neither should we.

The center is destroyed. It’s binary now. One side will dominate and the other, if they remain, will be dominated. The Demsheviks are ready, willing and able to dominate if they are allowed to do so. But are conservative Republicans? I’m not so sure. If not, they are not worthy to govern. If they are not willing to turn America into a dominant party state, they are not capable of governing at this point and deserve to lose. A couple of my favorite quotes of Scripture:

    * * *

Then Elisha said, “Take the arrows!” So he took them, and Elisha said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground!” So he struck the ground three times and stopped. But the man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times. Then you would have struck down Aram until you had put an end to it. – 2 Kings 13:18-19

    And:

    So Samuel said:

“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king.”

Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord.”

But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.” And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. So Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.” Then he said, “I have sinned; yet honor me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.” So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord.

Then Samuel said, “Bring Agag king of the Amalekites here to me.” So Agag came to him cautiously. And Agag said, “Surely the bitterness of death is past.” But Samuel said, “As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.” And Samuel hacked Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal. Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house at Gibeah of Saul. And Samuel went no more to see Saul until the day of his death. Nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul, and the Lord regretted that He had made Saul king over Israel. 1 Samuel 15: 22-34

We’ve been through enough. If America is destined to self-destruct, so be it. Lingering is worse. Will the Lord regret raising Trump to office?

I would like to believe the best, but my conversations with others here about feminism and Islam and the general reaction of conservative media lead me to believe that many conservatives are neither aggressive enough nor willing to bless or even engage in sufficient levels of violence to decisively put down a motivated insurrection, which is what we have. Batista and the Kerensky government failed. Francisco Franco succeeded. But it’s brutal and bloody and a certain degree of heartlessness and callousness is necessary which I doubt the American right, other than neo-Nazis or Klansmen, are capable of.

Now, I could be wrong insofar as the whole thing is dependent on Trump’s leadership. Someone once said they would rather face an army of lions led by a deer than an army of deer led by a lion. Trump asserted repeatedly during the riots that if the states called him in he could and would make quick work of all of it.

This is his Test. If he fails, the time was not right. But what will happen in fact is that someone further to the right and less comfortable for the squeamish will lead the next revolution.

And he will not play games with the enemies of God.

Texas AG Paxton in my daily missives from his office was frequently having to undo the illegal policies of various Democratic mayors/counties about mail-in ballots.  The Democratic party is consistently willing to break the law (and skew elections) or allow others to break the law by turning a blind eye.  Fits their Marxist anti-Christian disrespectful platform.

I will never forget Dr. Steve Turley’s videos during this chaotic period.  It is heartwarming to see video of people rising up at polling centers and calling out the massive extensive fraud that is the 2020 election.  Much of it is being documented.  Thank God for Bush/Obamaphones.  Everybody is an investigative reporter these days, collecting evidence.
The fallout from this travesty will be something to see.

What are the implications of Putin stepping down?!
    On a different note:
Could homeschool curriculum be targeted if equality act passes next year?  Should I buy through high school?!
Should I buy any book depicting God’s created order now that I wanted my children to read ever!?
    Am I over-reacting?
Should I start censoring myself when speaking to my passionately leftist sister in CA and my moderate father who thinks family is more important than Truth, just in case? I wonder if it’s not a coincidence that my Freemason grandfather was reaching out to me this month trying to “talk some sense into me.”
Thank God we moved to a solid red state four years ago when we thought Hilary was going to win. That may provide some buffer if Harris wins.

    • Putin’s not stepping down.  I saw that rumor.  The Kremlin is quashing it aggressively.  But it makes sense in Democrat fantasy land.

Don’t be stupid.  There is a(nother) coup attempt underway here.  You will see more disinformatsiya from the Demsheviks.

      • MomofToddler says

“Don’t be stupid”?! I’m pretty surprised that you would use such disrespectful language, to a well intentioned female at that, and that it would be allowed on this site. This will be my last post here.

        • Gail Sheppard says

I’m sure Misha didn’t mean this the way it sounded to you. He’s using a figure of speech directed more toward the group than to you specifically. It’s like saying, “Don’t be fooled! The Swamp always fights dirty.” That wouldn’t mean he thought you were a foolish person. If I thought he were insulting you, I wouldn’t have approved it. You are the last person I would want to see offended.

        • MomofToddler,

I apologize.  That was from the hip.  What I meant was don’t be foolish in the sense of credulous.  “Stupid” was too strong a word and I should have been more careful.

That said, reports of Putin stepping down during an attempted coup should really set off red lights in your head if they did not.  But I don’t think you’re unintelligent, just perhaps a bid naive.

          To all:

Really, assuming this latest coup attempt fails, I’m actually glad they tried it. Hopefully, most of you have seen the videos taken by responsible citizens of the chicanery and read the reports of widespread, blatant fraud.

Have you ever met my brother RICO? He’s a real SOB.

If Trump prevails his administration will have no option other than to prosecute the biggest racketeering case ever uncovered. The Democrats may have just committed political suicide. When you have court cases where the evidence is documented and judgments are issued, there is no way people will be able to say that the Democratic Party has not been thoroughly discredited as criminal and treasonous.

          Pray for victory.

          • MomofToddler says

Thanks for the apology and I forgive you.  However, I will be sticking to kinder and friendlier waters in the future in obedience to my loving and protective husband.  Perhaps I am naive, but it’s better to be kind than wise in worldly wisdom.   I wanted to log on one last time to acknowledge your apology.

            • I’ve always considered this blog to be kind and friendly waters, MomofToddler. Nevertheless, sorry to see you go. Your contributions have been superb.

            • Well, whatever you decide, Godspeed to you.  These are rough and tumble cyberwaves here at Monomakhos.   In fact, many times I have pondered whether it is conducive to my peace of mind to stay here.

At this point, isolated from public worship due to a hoax and financial limitations, this is an outlet for Christian interaction for me.  I have said it before and I will say it again:  I do not take myself that seriously and you shouldn’t either.  I’m actually a sweet little tomcat of a person, but a true smart@ss.   I’m a lawyer by training and a musician by disposition.

There is a hypnotic effect of the written word which elicits emotions, not all of which are intended by the writer.  I am utterly desensitized to written verbal assertiveness.  I could read literally anything here and not register a spike on a polygraph.  I grew up in a small southern town, was educated in one of the better universities in the Southeast, got a shodan in kenpo and a law degree and practiced rough and tumble law for about a dozen years.  My practice failed for reasons beyond my control.

I walked away from the rat race and lived in a shelter and on the street for six years. Now, I’m back in the world and trying to make a living at music. Practically nothing phases me.  But I don’t say that out of pride or arrogance at all, just dispassionate factual explanation.

I do realize that my experience is unusual and thus renders me an anomaly with respect to emotional sensitivity.  It is quite important to maintain a peaceful and graceful state of mind.  So whatever people need to do to maintain that place of peace is peachy keen with me.   I get it.

Now, in the current rough and tumble revolutionary times we live in, in the aftermath of a war on the patriarchy, I’m not inclined to self censorship.  Not at all actually.  But I do understand when someone says I’ve exceeded their tolerance.

Alas, such is the fallen world in which we live.

              MomofToddler and “Mr. Mom”:

I hope you reconsider and remain here with the rest of us traditional Orthodox and patriotic Americans. These are trying times, but so was the American Revolution.

During the debates in the Second Continental Congress leading to the Declaration of Independence, when disunity and special regional interests in one colony or another threatened to derail the Declaration in-the-making, Benjamin Franklin said famously:

“Let us all hang together, or surely we shall all hang separately.”

            • Christine Fevronia says

Mom of Toddler, I admire your obedience to your husband and I would do the same if mine asked me to. I hope you reconsider coming back to this site since Misha apologized. This blog is hosted by two remarkable Orthodox Christians and they ensure that people from all across the world with varying temperaments are free to post their thoughts. I’ve been coming to this site for years on a very regular basis and have been on the receiving end of some zingers too, but it’s worth it to be able to hash out current events with Christian Brothers and Sisters. I hope you and your honey reconsider and be OK with the occasional barb or two. It is truly worth it.

      • PS Gail, I disagree with the bipartisan assertions of the Senate Committee that the vaccine process is to be trusted.  Interestingly (tellingly?) the 3 testifying physicians about early treatment do not join that discussion but instead focus on the topic at hand, which is saving lives worldwide now by early outpatient treatment.  For which I thank God!
