Greece: 1, Germany 0

Folks, this promises to be a busy week on Monomakhos. Ordinarily, we like to post a story once every 72 hours or so (about 2-3 times a week). This is usually a reflection of the gravity to which I give my posts and it gives people some time to consider their opinions and to comment accordingly. And anyway, that’s about all I can handle given that this blog is a labor of love (i.e., I got a regular job that pays the bills).

For a change, there are so quite a few positive things happening in the Oikoumene right now, which means that I’m gonna have to bend that rule considerably. I hope you don’t mind; I certainly won’t mind if you decide to keep the commentary going on earlier editorials because some of the newer stories impact the earlier ones in some way or another.

So, strap on your seatbelts!

In the meantime, let’s start off this week with some humor. Plese feel free to take a stroll down memory lane, courtesy of Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

  1. Aristotle, very much the man in form!

  2. Not just form but substance, too, combined in one. And this is no accident. It is a reflection of his excellence and virtue (cultivated by diligent habit, of course).

    (Forgive the punishment.)

I was just logging in hoping for more negative ratings since I’m failing in this echo chamber and I land on all this philosophical garbage I don’t get…

I never understood how Greece ever got the inertia to advance. Germany is the technology country and the Germans have always been the go getters.

Please someone hit me with a negative so I can feel normal here.

I have kept this skit on my computer for years. I go to it when I need a lift.
