Where the Rubber Meets the Road
Someday, Islam may develop a hide thick enough to bear the sorts of artistic depictions that Christians endure. Monty Python’s 1979 motion picture Life of Brian generated huge laughs — by satirizing Jesus Christ. While some Christians criticized or boycotted the film, they retaliated by killing exactly zero people.
Today’s Broadway hit The Book of Mormon makes The Life of Brian resemble a consistory of the College of Cardinals. While Mormons may find this musical more blasphemous than hilarious (it is both, in spades), their reviews have not been homicidal.
Artist Chris Ofili infamously attached elephant dung to his painting of the Virgin Mary. Christians objected, and a believer named Dennis Heiner splattered white paint on this canvas. But neither Ofili nor anyone else was murdered for such infantilism.
So long as free speech remains a fundamental human right, free people can and should say what they will about Islam. And until that faith’s most fervent adherents learn to count to ten before commencing carnage, one objectionable YouTube video or bothersome charcoal sketch could sever America’s vital supplies of petroleum. This is the difference between Islam and Christianity in dealing with insults to one’s religion or as mention Mormonism versus Islam.

Blue States and Counties tend to have higher housing prices and people have less children. San Fran, New York City, Hawaii, Los Angeles, have housing costs above the national average and among non-Hispanic whites in these cities tend to have lower birthrates because its expensive. Texas housing is a little cheaper than the national average so a lot of Republicans in places like California moved to Texas because of lower taxes and housing and in Texas they can afford to be in a less diverse neighborhood or where the minority population is more middle class.

Well, I thought the film in poor taste but why should the followers of Islam go and killed people over insulting their Prophet. Islam is too medieval. They did the same thing in Europe over a Cartoon and killed a flim maker in Europe that criticized them as well. Islam can act that way but if a christian acts radical and kills someone they are considered wacky. People are going to make insulting films on religion and the followers of Islam need to leave the middle ages and enter the modern world.

Foolish Christians while that can be said of Theodosius the Great’s sons, Arcadius and Honorius. Arcadius exiled John Chrysostom because of his wife. Honorius was weaker politically since he got rid of Stilicho a good soldier and adviser who was Arian. He didn’t rid him because he was Arian but Olmypius another adviser convince Honorius. Stilicho the Arian was wiser than Honorius the Orthodox Christian. Honorius was one of those factors in the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century.

Well, Mississippi is not a poor state for whites, whites there have a poverty rate lower than West Virginia, Kentucky and Montana. Its the black population in the rural areas. The Mississippi delta is where the poverty is, its like Texas with the Rio Grande Mexican population. This explains why Mississippi high poverty votes Repubican because the white population basically has it good and housing is cheaper. Steve Sailer did reserach on Red and Blue states showing the higher the housing costs the more likely people vote Democratic. In fact California not only had radical demographic changes the past 40 years but housing costs have skyrocket as well. San Diego in the 1960′s was a strong Red County a book called Suburban warriors mentions the rise of the new right not in the south but in San Diego and Orange Counties California. Today San Diego is a swing county usually it votes Republican for President but last election for Obama.

Personality I don’t always agree with the Republicans but the Democraticsand their antics with code Pink ladies sex parts and so forth are crude. Code Pink women are about 50 and over, how many women in their 50′s and 60′s dress as sex parts to make a silly political statement for abortion and so forth. Code Pink is the middle ages verison of Pussy Riot but at least they have not yet bring their protest to church t. In fact gay groups after prop 8 in California had vandalized some Mormon, Roman Catholic and Protestant churches.

If Romney was a democratic like Harry Reid would he be as criticized on this board. Harry Reid converted to Mormonism as an adult.

Who Does the Government Intend to Shoot?
Well, Illegal Hispanics are a group are poorer than the native population. Some have come up by their bootstraps like Loretta Sanchez whose parents I believe were legalized by Ronald Reagan and she is a democratic rep in California. Center for immigration studies shows legal and illegal immigrants in the US taking some kind of welfare program compared to the native born- illegal immigrants children received free and reduce lunch programs, so yes Obama is trying to use Mexican and Central America immigrants and their children. How ever, many of them that do maids jobs and have children benefit more from the Democratic since they offer more social welfare programs to help them. This is similar to Hilary Clinton appeal to waitress that don’t make a lot of money either.

When Pussies Riot: Serves ‘Em Right!
George removed my comment.
» Posted By cynthia curran On August 31, 2012 @ 9:17 pm
Well, George you can also say the same thing about Emperor Justinian besides Lincoln.. I think the codification of the Roman Law was a great thing and the Hagia Sophia and some of the other buildings. But even if Procopius exaggerates and some of the things in Secret History are not true, there other things that are in the Secret History that are true.. A lot of forts and some churches mention in the Buildings an official work by Procopius about Justinian’s great buildings deeds have been found to be true in archaeology. So, some things must also be true in the Secret History. Well there is a line by George Elliot that Great Men belong in Plutarch but Plutarch wrote up to only the 2nd century. that involved men in his lives, the last life I think was the Roman Emperor Otho.

Well, Russian TV had MR Webb who is ahead of the Communist USA Party as a guest on their show and were talking about the occupy movement and of course MR Webb is supported. of OCCUPY. OCCUPY on their website are planning to have people dress as female sex organs in their protest at the Republican convention while this isn’t as bad as a church setting think that’s in bad taste too.
» Posted By cynthia curran On August 22, 2012 @ 4:48 pm
Well, they were not kids in Chicago they were adults and were more violent they today’s occupy movement. Some of the Chicago protesters belong to the weather underground. The police might have use too much force but the rioters at the Chicago convention threw rocks, bottles and even had weapons

Radio Derb, I listened to him thought he is usually funny.

Carter not me voted for Ford and too young for either Nixon or McGovern but I supported Nixon. Well at least Nixon did get Alger Hiss in trouble. i guess i’m a fascists for liking Nixon as a kid.. In 1980 voted for Libertarian Ed Clark and in 2008 so mad at both George W Bush and John McCain on illegal immigration voted for Bob Barr instead. The more I thought of the Pussy Riot I eventually thought that they deserved some punishment since they did trespassed in a church. They are also being supported by George Soros.. Well, Putin probably isn’t our friend but in this case the girls did some insulting of the orthodox faith and trespassed.
» Posted By cynthia curran On August 21, 2012 @ 9:41 pm
Well, anyways, unlike some on the right I studied some of the websites of Occupy while they make some valid points about things they usually have a lot of violence like a bloody Mickey Mouse in regards to their protest in Anaheim. Also, interested in Anarchists killed almost hundred years ago, Some of their images can be disturbing, conflicts of people and police.

San Diego is also a county with a low Afro-american population in fact is lower today in percent than in 1970. San Diego Afro-American about 5 percent and Hispanic about 31 to 32 percent and Asian around 13. So it does better than let’s say Houston or Dallas which have more Afro-Americans and Hispanics on poverty stats or graduation stats.

True, also there are difference in income among white people. Jews usually today have high income while scot-irish West Virginia and Kentucky have the lowest incomes. Same in Europe Germans have higher incomes than British. British have a white population that has some of the highest out of wedlock births and criminal behavior as well. Granted, Sweden may also have a high out of wedlock birth but its related to taxes its cheaper not to be married. And Swedish couples whether legally married or not stay together better than the English Also, George is right immigration will effect poverty rates in 1970 San Diego County had only a 6 percent poverty rate versus today around 12 or 13 percent. Granted, there are other factors but their is usually a higher poverty rate in San Diego County among the foreign born versus the native born.

To no ones surprise, rather than becoming libertarian, immigrants loyally support the Social Democratic welfare state, as their economic self interests and the political culture of their societies would predicts. In the latest Swedish election, only 43% of Swedes but 77% of non-western immigrants voted for the left (this was an unusually bad year for the left, who got 92% of the immigrant vote in 2002!). In the United States, where while only 35% of non-Hispanic whites prefer higher taxes in return for more government services, the figure is 65% for first generation Hispanic immigrants, and 66% for second generation Hispanics. This was from Sweden and as George stated before, immigrants usually don’t agree with him on politics and the results from a different country are similar to what George says.

Well, Obama ex-pastor did too much of Rome and the USA which there is some comparisons but a lot of difference. To rev Wright religion is all politics. Wright was trying to have Jews as blacks since they once were in Egypt- Jews are Semitic and even in the old testament account they rarely intermarriage other gorps. Egypt was interesting the people could be Semitic, Berbers, Blacks or later on European-Greeks or Romans. His view of history Wright is too simple; therefore his theology that history based with modern comparisons is faulty. In fact a lot of Northern Africa compared to Central or Southern Africa is Semitic-Arab conquest or Berber groups.

Herod put his favorite wife mariamne to death.
» Posted By cynthia curran On September 1, 2012 @ 8:51 am
I was going to say the Emperor Augustus stated its better to be a pig than one of Herod’s sons.
» Posted By cynthia curran On August 31, 2012 @ 10:20 pm
Herod was not fully Jewish, some Edomite blood. The Jews forced Herod ancestors to become Jewish. As the emperor Augustus . I believe George is correct, the last wealthy Jews that had multiple wives were in the middle ages.
» Posted By cynthia curran On August 31, 2012 @ 10:19 pm
Well, I not familiar with polygamy on the west bank. In Jesus’s day most polygamy was in the house of Herod the Great that have a few wives and he put to his favorite wife mariamne. Most Jews through out history had only one wife since they usually couldn’t afford a second wife.

I disagree with you on the hurricane, God doesn’t always opposed non believers read about Cyprus in the Old Testament and for the three hundred years prior to Constantine the christian obey the rules of the Roman Empire. If Obama was Jim Wallis who is a left wing Evangelical I still would not vote for him. Obama theology I’m not certain about either.
» Posted By cynthia curran On August 26, 2012 @ 7:38 pm
Well, to me it doesn’t matter if he Romney is Christian or not. People should vote on the issues not theologically,

The Council of Ancyra, 314 A.D., barred all who procured abortions or made drugs used to further
abortions, from the Lord’s Table for ten years. Earlier, the ban had been for life, and, in some
areas, continued in that manner. Only at the hour of death was the guilty party permitted to receive
communion. In 692 A.D., the Council of Quinisext insisted, “Those who give drugs for procuring
abortion, and those who receive poisons to kill the foetus, are subjected to the penalty of murder.”
The church was now demanding of the state that God’s law be enforced. Basil of Caesarea, like
other church fathers, called abortion “willful murder,” and to be punished as such.
The same insistence on the protection of newly born children marked the early church.
Constantine, in 315 and 321 A.D., legislated against the abandonment or sale of children.
Valentinian in 366 A.D. restated this legislation, and Justinian in 529-534 A.D. declared exposure
to be more cruel than murder; he also founded homes for the care of these children.unded homes for the care of these children. This is from Calvinist Rosdoony of Reconstruction fame but I think on this subject matter he has a point. I understand about the situation where the mother with several other children were trying to escape a communist country but I don’t think people are always under those extreme conditions. I’m aware that people vote also on other issues but it makes me more aware of the pro-life position than normal.» Posted By cynthia curran On September 2, 2012 @ 3:05 pm
Well, George times have changed, so Mormons are a lot less evil than liberal Protestants today. Mormons in spite of odd theological beliefs have more loyalty to the country and they also have a good alternative welfare state to help their poor.,

Well, Obama mention Frank in his dreams of My father. In the audio version around 2006 or so Frank is not mention. Frank Marshall Davis was under government surveillance by the FBI when he was in Hawaii. Mr Obama also lie somewhat about his connections with the New Party in 1990′s. I think character judgment is important as well.
» Posted By cynthia curran On August 21, 2012 @ 3:35 pm
Well, anyway, those further to the left of Obama like the Occupy Wall Street are descending into street violence and rape because their anarchists if a woman is rape she can not go to the police in the occupy movement since the police are the enemy. Anarchism has this problem. George needs ideas that can help like a restrucutring of charity and Christians doing more here and also for our neighbor to the south since even if people plan to legalized them many of their brothers are still in poverty back home. in Mexico.

«« Back To Stats PageWell, Norwich is for the general English or American audience on Byzantine history. So, he makes mistakes. He isn’t a classicist which would covers the history from the 4th century to the 7th century or a medievalist which would cover from the 8th century until the 15th century.
