More Evidence that Jonah Was Railroaded

How about people who sign their names “Reader” Stephen or “Subdeacon” Stephen. I have been Orthodox all of my life and it is only recently that I have seen this..

But he isn’t alone.

How Truly Awful Multi-Culturalism Is

But you sign the above as “Father John W. Morris”
Mormons rejected plural marriage “in the flesh” but a Mormon who is sealed in the temple to a woman can be sealed to other women should that first woman die and he remarry and they will all be together as husband and wives in the Celestial KIngdom. As a mormon told me “Plural marriage is still a doctrine .It is just not convenient right now”.
When I was in graduate school at the University of Chicago the UCC had a lot of students in the Seminary Consortium at the University and I was shocked at how liberal the UCC students were but they were doing a lot more work in social justice ministries than everyone else and this includes the Jusuits and the Lutherans who alo had students in the Seminary Consortium.

What will really be funny if {God forbid} Romney is elected is how will be go to the Temple.Non Mormons may not enter once it is dedicated. He will have to have Mormon secret service men which will go against the federal hiring standards about religion not being a factor in hiring. I remember when Metropolitan Isaiah of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denver got into hot water when he said all Mormons who converted to Orthodoxy had to be baptized. The old men in Salt lake City were very angry. If people really looked into what Mormon believe they would be shocked. One can become a god and get one’s own universe to rule.

From Russia, Not with Love

and the Antiochian Patriarchate isn’t under Damascas?

» Posted By StephenD On July 31, 2012 @ 2:52 pm

You are correct George.I heard from afriend in Moscow who is active in Russian Church affairs that the MP is “done with the OCA”. Met.Jonah impressed all of them with his pastoral qualities and do not forget he is also a real monk from a real monastery. This was a pretty blatent spanking for those who follow this stuff..Not commemorating a Heirarch is pretty serious..I also heard a Locum Tenens being commemorated when I was in Israel.

Yet Another Hole in the Official Story

Fr.Jonah? He is an Archbishop and was a Metropolitan. He is a Bishop and always will be a Bishop no matter what those toads do to him..

Somebody said here that ROCOR runs a tight ship. What will happen if ROCOR finds something to be concerned about? How will it all be spun then?

So much for ethics..I guess they can hit a deeper low with Bishop mark..

Another Hole in the Official Story: ‘Alleged Rape’ Timeline Reporting is Wrong

How about not being morally clean? Unethical? Drunkards? Sexual perversion?

Pokrov.org recently received a copy of the November 16, 2010, report of the
Special Investigation Committee into allegations of misconduct by Hieromonk
Symeon Kharon. This report was presented to the synod of bishops of the Orthodox
Church in America. A copy of the report is linked on Pokrov.org.

I thought it was “Don’t talk,Don’t ask questions, Don’t feel” which is certainly how the Syosset crowd want people in the OCA to be. This, however, cuts through all jurisdictions and is at 79th Street and in Englewood ,NJ. Just try asking the wrong question at an Antiochian Convention. Remember what happened to Sara Hodges in the Desert?
It also seems to be something the Episcopal Assembley wants to engender in the future.

You Can’t Fix Stupid

Or the American soldiers who were in the Bataan Death March or the Dutch and British civilians who were captured in Indonesia, Hong Kong or Singapore.

A couple of people I spoke to who I am not sure if they even own computers told me that they hope the parish summer camp and vacation bible school do well. They also told me that they are sick of both Syosset and are appalled at the allgations against Archbishop Jonah…”Here we go again” or to quote my favorite line from the movi “The History Boys”…”Its just on f–king thing after another”.People here also really miss Archbishop Dmitri.

The Greeks and the Antiochians have their problems too.. sexually compromised clergy and how are those audits working in the Antiochian Archdiocese?

Jonah the Prophet

My father was Episcopalian and I think the worse thing for him was the feeling that many of the Bishops ,clergy and “elites” considered him and other people who were against women’s ordination and other innovations as an example of their not reaching their level of spirituality.

» Posted By StephenD On July 10, 2012 @ 1:41 pm

I find it just repulsive that the Synod knows that Met.Jonah is taking care of his parents and sister and they want to deny him his paycheck? Are these men Christians?

And what is the “Christian” response..where are the Orthodox hospitals? What would Jesus do? What would St.John Chrysostom do?

Its also a wonderful thing that children may be carried on their parent’s insurance until they are 26. I see a lot of patients who would not be able to be seen where I work because they would not have insurance if this provision were not provided in the Act.

I am shocked by Chief Justice John Robert’s part in this..Like many Liberal Democrats I was upset when he was nominated and confirmed.I thought he would be another right wing hack like Justice Scalia. He has proven me wrong by being someone who cares for all Americans despite party lines..I apologize Chief Justice Roberts. I was wrong
