By all accounts now, almost all Christians have been expelled from Homs by the Wahhabis of the “Free Syrian Army”.
Really? What accounts would those be? Sources please.

Qwfwq,
Since you appear fascinated with me and the state of my religious affiliation, I decided to give you some serious consideration (likely more than you deserve) by using my professional skills to become better aquatinted with you. In the interest of full disclosure, I was initially inclined towards thinking that you are perhaps simply the Reverend Reardon acting under a different name. I was, that, is, until I stumbled across this gem penned by yourself:
“I live in a part of Chicago about a mile away from where the Mumbai massacre planner lived. It is a disjarring nightmare to see these freak women, dressed entirely in black, walk down the sidewalk in a neighborhood with sunshine, pretty houses, neat yards, and white picket fences. These people have to be blasted back to where they came from. They are evil.”
Much as I disagree with Fr. Patrick, I can in no way imagine him writing anything even remotely as abhorrent as the above. So, while you both hale from Chicago, I must conclude that you are not Priest Reardon. In fact, given that you wish to kill, maim, and murder females simply because they wear black clothing, I myself am left wondering:
“Do you consider yourself a Christian?”
“I certainly see no evidence of it.”

Let’s see qwfwq… by my reckoning, that’s the fourth time you’ve asked that question or something similar. As stated previously:
“Let me [NOT] extend my apology for having apparently gored one of your favorite oxen. I’d urge you not to overly vex yourself as this is not the first time Fr. Patrick and I have sparred and yet somehow we both manage to slog onward. Now, back to your prostrations before your favorite issue of Touchstone magazine.”
Or whatever it is you do in the john with that publication.

George is of course welcome to do so. He’s bowed to pressure for censorship once, the second time is always easier. You’ll note I was not one of the rabble clamoring for Nivens silencing. I typically ignore him, which works well enough for me. Perhaps you Touchstone groupies should try it sometime.
Fr. Reardon is a master at what he does – there *is* a reason he was chosen as Assad’s pimp by the Despot; if naught else, Bp. Philip chooses his tools well. Fr. Patrick’s mention of me in his post above was simply gratuitous and has served his ends well with the likes of you two jumping on the bandwagon. Like Herr Goebbels, Priest Reardon ably serves his own particular master and if this current attempt at silencing me fails, he will doubtless collect his toys and once more stomp off “never to return” – until that is – his next appearance and assault. Hell hath no fury like a cleric questioned. And so it goes.

Lol – now who is being childish Joseph. As I intimated – respect to the office, none to the man. Get over it – or not.
» Posted By Heracleides On March 9, 2012 @ 3:35 pm
Doubtless; the false witness of a tool tends to give rise to my baser passions. Especially when the falsehoods are cloaked in the dignity of vestments (whited vestments in this instance, but vestments nonetheless). Go figure.
» Posted By Heracleides On March 8, 2012 @ 9:16 pm
P.S. I thought you said you were leaving Monomakhos never to return? Or was that simply more creative fiction..,er, “reporting” on your part?
» Posted By Heracleides On March 8, 2012 @ 8:49 pm
Lol. Highly unlikely – I live in a remote rural area. No matter.
Just curious though, wouldn’t your time be better spent in return travel to Syria as the tool of your Despot and amending your previous propaganda piece to reflect even a modicum of the actual truth… you know, reality, on the ground? I would think restoring your credibility amongst your fan base would be priority one; but then perhaps the Butcher of Damascus is rather busy at the moment and unable to wine & dine you and your entourage to the same extent as last time?
In any event, keep trying to silence me Reverend Father; Herr Goebbels would be proud of your efforts to date.

Where exactly do you live Ashley?
I frequent St. Anthony’s several times a year. The next time I visit I will make a point of petitioning the Elder to construct a new monastery adjacent to your domicile.
It should give rise to a win-win situation I would think: your demonic howling will doubtless compel them to pray ever louder and more fervently for your salvation until you either flee or are at peace, thus benefiting both you, the brotherhood, and blogdom in the long run.

Ah yes Daniel – time to break out another box of tissue for you.
I do hope you eventually recover from the deep hurt and offense you’ve been forced to endure… perhaps Mr. Fall you might want to seek intensive psycho-therapy before you slip into PTSD? Or is it already to late??? Is there a charity that nurtures the wounded inner-child of mid-west rednecks too which I might donate?
Truly a tragic situation.

Actually, from what I have heard it was both (although, to be precise, the seminarian was a few years out of seminary and well into his 20′s whilst the other was indeed a minor).
» Posted By Heracleides On March 18, 2012 @ 6:31 pm
I believe she is referring to the recently reposed “bishop” with the ‘young seminarian & shaving cream fetish.’ Even a redneck like you should be able to adduce whom that individual was.

Jane Rachel,
Agreed. It sort of makes me think of the three monkeys: See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Speak No Evil. Obviously, nothing can be construed as amiss in the vaunted OCA as long as one imitates that trio. And if you don’t, well then, how dare you point out that the emperor has no clothes! (Apologies for mixing metaphors.)

“The church willingly overlooked loose accounting (the church has now said theft I believe) by a Chancellor in order to keep things in the closet (please another cartoon Heracleides– maybe a cash register and a balloon with the caption I won’t tell if you don’t tell)…”
Actually, I was thinking along different lines…. You claim to be a “red-neck” but based on your ongoing apologia for those embracing sodomy, I was picturing you sporting at least a mauve-neck if not an outright lavender-neck.

Glad you liked it Daniel. Decided too memorialize it just for your PC bleeding heart. The image is entitled “Total Croc” and may be viewed here: http://s1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff436/Heracleides/

Ah yes – those poor “gay folks” – always picked upon by those nasty ‘straight folks’ cramming their Christian agenda down the throats (*gag*) of an unrepentant minority. When will it end? Who will ‘break the silence’ of the holocaust these hapless sodomites suffer from within Orthodoxy? Pass me a box of tissues Inga…er, Daniel.

Or… the OCA allowing homosexual clergy living together to take Communion as an accepted practice (i.e. Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Miami Florida)

My bad Carl. I guess I should have asked if “Ms.” Johnson is in any way related to “Ms.” Kraeff.
You seem perpetually offended about one thing or another Carl. I have to wonder – at your age do you have any hair left or did you go bald decades ago?
P.S. Nice to see you’ve not engaged in the farce of “giving up blogging” for the fast this time around.

Is “Ms.” Johnson in any way related to “Ms.” Matovic??? Enquiring minds, etc.

This Just In: Met Jonah Invited to Congress to Discuss HHS

He does Ashley – do pay attention.

The usual suspects, er, entire Synod…. the three on the left are the auxiliary turkeys, er, crows. Cough, cough.

Nope, never heard of him.

Ah – my mistake. I was getting my info. from the Diocese of the West website and misunderstood.
» Posted By Heracleides On February 17, 2012 @ 6:08 pm
Just a reminder that next week the full OCA Synod meets. This will be their first meeting since last fall. Doubtless the forced “evaluation” of Met. Jonah will be first and foremost on the agenda. Let us keep blessed Jonah in our prayers that the Holy Angels will continue to guide and guard him in the midst of unholy foes.
I’ve created a new image to call attention to this particular meeting. It is entitled “Crows” and may be viewed here: http://s1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff436/Heracleides/

Showdown at the Salt Lake Coralle: This Time It’s Personal
Now you’re simply being self-serving, Peter. I made but one comment on this thread and it had nothing whatsoever to do with Greeks; it had to do with you and your obnoxious comment calling Fr. Justin a “snot.” I could care the less about ethnicity – yours, mine, or that of anyone else – that seems to be your hang-up.
I’ve worshiped at two different Greek cathedrals with very mixed results. The first was at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Phoenix. What a joke. It included a 20 minute homily wherein the greatness of ‘Greekness’ was extolled to such an extent that Christ was mentioned but once – and that simply being a passing remark that if Christ had had a choice, he would have chosen to be incarnated as a Greek. The second experience was at Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Denver (Bp. Isaiah’s cathedral btw) with Fr. Apostolos Hill officiating and what a blessing that was. I but wish I lived in Denver; if I did, I would worship there on a regular basis (and I make a point of worshiping there whenever I am in Denver visiting family). So what can I say Peter except to urge you to get off your high (Trojan) horse and actually respond to what people write rather than to what you wish they had said to further the grinding of your ethnic ax.
