Excuse my ‘English,’ but as my Grandfather of blessed memory was fond of saying “Sometimes you’ve gotta hold the bastards’ feet to the fire.” Which is true, or so I was taught as a social worker in my propaganda… er, “community organization” courses during my university days. Who would’ve guessed it’d come in handy someday.

Go educate yourself then come back when you are minimally informed on the topic and perhaps you can then engage in a meaningful conversation.

If the allegations lodged against +Benjamin were deemed “without merit” then why launch an investigation to begin with… but then how can one determine something is “without merit” without first having an investigation? Talk about circular. The facts are that an investigation was launched and then quashed before it could deliver any findings – either good or bad. It’s called a cover-up, Harry, so get over yourself in attempting to defend the indefensible
Why is it that at any minute I expect to see a video on YouTube with +Benjamin lifting both arms into the air in faux blessing whilst declaring he is not a crook, drunkard, porn connoisseur, etc. while Harry, standing at his side, vigorously claps and capers around like a fool newly escaped from his mother’s basement lair.

Having viewed your photograph on your ‘Queer Legacy’ website I noted a remarkable resemblance between you and Richard Simmons. I have to disagree Cyril. While an MSW is primarily an exit degree, many MSWs do go on to engage in social science research with their product frequently published in the Journal of Social Work and other peer-reviewed SW/SS publications. In fact, prior publication is required by many Schools of Social Work (my alma mater required two) for MSW entry into their doctoral programs.
I never said that Stankovich’s professional credentials authenticate his assertions and/or conclusions, only that he does have the necessary basic foundation from which to engage in such research. Given his silence, I doubt he has ever actually engaged in research, but is rather relying on the work of others or (especially given the work history detailed in his resume) is antidotal.

At one point a couple of months ago I located Mr. Stankovich’s resume online and linked to it here (that link was removed). If the resume was not padded, then he does indeed have the credentials (MSW, LCSW, etc.) for credible research; if he has actually conducted such research and his work undergone peer-review is another matter. Like you, I too would be curious to know the answer to those questions.

Doubtful. When Mrs. Stokoe-Brown was booted from the MC only a couple of months ago he boldly proclaimed he wasn’t going anywhere – despite his bishop’s request that he immediately shut down OCA News. Now – just a few short days after being notified of legal action, Mark folds his tent and “suspends publication” – you connect the dots. Stokoe is a coward, and like most bullys backs down when faced head on with real consequences.

And yet Sophie you post with factual certainty that Fr. Karlgut “made it up” when in fact if you had even bothered to check his statement you’d find that Stan Drezlo confirms many of the details in one of his own rants. Go figure – citing Stan the Man to validate anything, but there you have it. I ascertain no reason to question Fr. Karlgut’s integrity, but you on the other hand are unknown and seemingly have a bias if not an outright agenda with your accusations and the tone in which you coach them.

How is it that you went from same-sex “roommates” in one paragraph to excoriating people for prying “…into the inner life of a household” in the next? So which is it Dn. Fr., same-sex roommates or homosexual households? Pick one and stick with it. Heterosexual and homosexual “households” are not one and the same – apples, oranges, etc. Comparing them without differentiation is a typical tactic of those propagating the homosexual agenda in order to normalize a ‘household’ that is anything but.
P.S. One needs to do no prying. Homosexuals by and large trumpet their sin of choice.

You really think so George? Myself, I’m still trying to sort out what the fallout from Seattle is likely to be in the next few months. Judging by his recent comments, Stokoe certainly does not appear out-of-sorts as to its outcome. In fact, the joker comes across as positively gleeful about this whole +Jonah evaluation business. I’m still fairly pessimistic, but am certainly willing to be shown the upside of the AAC. Time will tell I guess.
