As We Enter into Great Lent…

…I ask for forgiveness from one and all.

Forgive me my failings, trespasses and sins.

As God forgives, I forgive.

Let us pray for each other.

Comments

  1. Peter Millman says

    George,
What do you have to forgive anyone for? I forgive you for not standing up for me when that Priest was so abusive to me.

  2. Ditto brother and to all here on Monomakhos

  3. Gail Sheppard says

Well, said, George. Same for me.

  4. Peter A. Papoutsis says

Same here. Please accept my weakness and frailty, and I ask for your forgiveness and the forgiveness from all.

    Peter

  5. Michael Bauman says

Peter, each of us bears the sins of all and each of us is responsible for the sins of all. Thus, even though you and I have never met I can say to you and all, please forgive me. AndI do.

  6. From St. Andrew of Crete The Great Canon. Song 9.

Eirmos: Ineffable is the childbearing of a seedless conception, unsullied the pregnancy
of a Virgin Mother, for the birth of God renews natures. So in all generations we magnify
thee in orthodox fashion as the Mother and Bride of God.
Refrain: Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me.

    Troparia:

The mind is wounded, the body is feeble, the spirit is sick, the word has lost its power,
life is ebbing, the end is at its doors. What then will you do, wretched soul, when the Judge
    comes to try your case?

Of course I am wretched needing forgiveness from everyone and if they forgive
me and I forgive them I am getting the better deal. So I ask for forgiveness all the same.
